Simple soft toys - a master class for beginners

  2. Felt: orange, white, black;
  3. Sintepukh;
  4. Fabric and erase markers;

Progress:

Stage 1

Cut out everything necessary elements according to the template. Repeating elements must be symmetrical. We glue all the small felt parts to the large ones with glue, or we tack them with a contrasting thread. It is important that all repeating elements are at the same distance from the edges of large parts. This is necessary in order for the toy to look neat.

Stage 2

We begin to sew on small details with a single white thread, performing vertical stitches.

Then you can begin to connect the front and back parts of the toy together, starting with the ears. With a needle with a single red thread, we begin to make stitches (the first one is from the inside out), starting the game back and inserting it into the same place as for the first time, thus making a neat loop around the two elements of the future ear of the toy. The needle is inserted into the loop, after which it is tightened.

Now we make the next stitch at an equal distance from the edge of the fabric, getting another loop. We again put a needle into it, tighten the thread, thus obtaining overlock seam. We sew the entire ear with this seam, and the last seam must be inserted into the first. To make it easier for beginners to understand, it is better to look at step-by-step photos.

We perform the same manipulations with the second ear, after which we sweep the finished ears to the front of the head of the future fox made of felt.

Stage 3

We draw eyes and a mouth on a white muzzle. We start from the inside with a double black thread to carefully embroider the eyes, moving to the front. The first stitch is made in such a way that the needle returns to the very beginning, after which the stitch is tightened. All subsequent stitches are made in the same way, the main thing is that the forming loop is always on top - above the thread with the needle. At the end, you can make an eyelash. The second eye and mouth are embroidered according to the same principle. Already at this stage, you can draw a fox cheeks.

Stage 4

Time to sew the big parts of the head. First, it is better to sweep the front and back of the toy's head with a contrasting thread. After that, you can proceed to sheathing with an overcast seam. As before, we need an orange single thread. When the seams reach the eye, it is necessary to insert a needle and thread on the reverse side so that the distance to the edge from both the front and reverse side was the same (the needle must pass through the ear inside).

We insert the needle directly into the eye - in a place directly above the point where the needle and thread came from. In front, the needle will eventually also come out in the eye right above the original place. Insert the needle into the formed loop and tighten. It will turn out such a seam, which should look like an overcast. We sew the entire muzzle, leaving room for stuffing.

Stage 5

It's time to stuff the top of the cute felt toy. In this case, a stick for sushi, a pencil or a special device is useful. You need to stuff the head of the toy evenly, not too tightly, giving a soft volume.

Stage 6

The next step is to create a ponytail. First you need to sew a black tassel to the end of the tail with a single black thread, while not sewing the sides of the end of the tail, but only sewing on a “zigzag”. After that, the front and back parts of the tail are sewn to each other with the already familiar overcast seam with orange thread.

The place of the black tip is stitched from the inside, since the black tip will need to be stitched on top with black thread, proceeding in the same way as when sheathing the rest of the felt toy. The opposite end of the tail remains open - it is needed for stuffing with sintepuh. After the tail is evenly stuffed with lining, it is sewn to the details of the body with a contrasting thread.

Stage 7

Then the back and front parts of the body are sewn to each other with an overcast seam, leaving the neck open. We evenly distribute the syntepuh over the body, after which the hole is sewn up with an overcast seam.

Stage 8

Now that the two main parts of the felt toy are completely ready, they need to be sewn together. To sew them to each other neatly and beautifully, you can line up along the hollow on the chest of the chanterelle - right above it, the nose and mouth of the animal should be located.

Now with a needle with a double thread orange color Let's start sewing the parts. First you need to insert a needle into the lower part of the head, 3-4 mm from the edge, as in the photo, approximately at the level of the middle of the eye. Then the needle is passed through the edge of the body - at the same distance - as a result, a blind seam will be obtained. It is necessary to sew the head with the body to the opposite end of the neck, tightly tightening the seams. Thus, the front front part is stitched.

To securely fasten both parts, you need to flash them again, but in a more accurate way. Now that the needle is on the opposite edge of the neck, it is necessary to sew the back of the head. However, first you need to pierce the torso from the front side, and after that, remove the needle from the back of the head. We sew further according to this scheme in such a way that the threads are not visible at all (see photo). The felt fox is ready!

  • funny owl

Very popular toys cute fairy-tale owls are made of felt - they are easy to make, and in the process you can even change some elements of the product at your discretion and taste. The result will please not only children, but also adults. Let's try to do soft toy from felt, which will be decorated with a floral motif from small pieces of fabric.

Materials:

  1. Sample;
  2. Felt: pink, brown, gray;
  3. A piece of colored fabric for the tummy and wings;
  4. Filler, like synthetic winterizer;
  5. Scissors, pins, needle, thread.

Templates for work:

Progress:

Stage 1

We cut out the paper elements of the pattern from the printed template. We attach them with pins to the felt material and cut them out in shape, after which we remove the pins.

Advice! Use for stitching pieces hand seam“needle forward”, making the same neat stitches and skips.

We sew the colored fabric onto the felt blanks for future wings forward with a needle. The knot can be hidden between the fabric and felt. And in order to keep the fabric in one place during the creation of the toy, it is better to fix it with a pin.

Stage 2

To make the owl as planned, you need to place the details according to the template. On the future body of the owl, we fasten the gray ovals of the eye with pins, after which we sew. The distance between the eyes and from the edges of the body should be 0.5 cm. After that, we refine the eyes - we sew on two other parts.

We also sew two brown triangles on the ears.

We attach a colored tummy to the owl, sew the beak and paws on top. The back of the owl's body should be filled with a tail, according to the pattern.

Advice! Children who want to help in making toys can glue the details of multi-colored material, after which the needlewoman will be able to sew them on with even beautiful stitches.

Stage 3

The front and back of the body are applied to each other. Between them, according to the scheme, ready-made wings are inserted, all this is fixed with pins. We begin to sew the toy from the bottom of the right wing, passing in a circle to the bottom of the left wing. The remaining space is used for stuffing.

We stuff the toy with padding polyester, but not to failure! It is important that the pattern and seams are not distorted at the end of the work. The hole is sewn up, the pins are removed from the wings. The felt toy is ready. To avoid difficulties in the process, you can see the step-by-step photos.

  • Peppa Pig on magnets

Many children are very fond of the character from the cartoon of the same name, so you can please the kids with a miniature pig made of felt. Inside, if desired, you can insert magnets, or you can ignore this item and create simple toy- it will not harm even the smallest.

Materials:

  1. Sample;
  2. Felt: red, light pink, dark pink, black, white;
  3. two beads;
  4. Filler: synthetic winterizer or holofiber;
  5. Pencil or disappearing marker;
  6. Neodymium magnets - optional.

Templates for work:

Progress:

Stage 1

You need to print out the template, cut out the pattern of all parts of the future felt toy. We transfer the contour of paper models to the material with a pencil or felt-tip pen, cut out parts from felt.

Stage 2

We cut out pockets for magnets and sew them to the inside of the back of the body and head of the pig, insert 1 cm magnets there and sew up the holes.

Stage 3

We sew a spout, a bright pink cheek, eyes to the muzzle, and then we mark the mouth of the toy with a thread.

We put both parts of the body together, put the legs, tail, hands in the middle, sew them together, leaving a hole in the neck area. We send there a small amount of sintepon, after which we sew the hole.

Then we overlap the head on the dress, leaving a small hole for the padding polyester. Having stuffed it, we sew up the last hole. The felt toy is ready! Thanks to step by step photo, the process of creating Peppa go where faster.

  7. Self-extinguishing marker;
  8. Satin or rep ribbon for a bow;
  9. Hanging tape.

Template for work:

Progress:

We cut out the printed template from paper, apply it to the fabric, attach it with pins and transfer the pattern to a sheet of felt using a marker. We repeat the procedure for the second half of the future toy.

We sew on the front part an “identification mark” - a decorative little thing, like a heart, a snowflake, a bow - anything.

We sew together both parts of the toy with a simple buttonhole stitch. When sewing reaches the neck, you can immediately sew on a pendant ribbon and a festive ribbon around the neck.

When it remains to sew up the tummy, we first fill the toy with filler, evenly distributing it. Then we sew the hole. In place of the ponytail, you can sew a funny pompom.

It remains to decorate the muzzle: sew on a button-nose and bead-eyes.

  • Christmas stars

From a simple material of the most ordinary form, you can get an original product with a certain mood. Let's try to do this by completing a few festive stars that will transform even the most modest little Christmas tree.

Materials:

  1. Sample;
  2. Felt of any colors suitable for the style of the Christmas tree;
  3. Beads, beads;
  4. Filler: synthetic winterizer, synthetic winterizer or holofiber;
  5. Scissors, pins, needle, thread;
  6. Pencil.

Progress:

Stage 1

We draw on paper a star 8 cm across. Cut out this simple paper star template. The template is outlined with a pencil or marker on felt. It is important that all stars are the same. Asterisks are cut out of the material and connected in two pieces with a pin.

Stage 2

We sew the two parts of the star into one, leaving a little space for stuffing. We fill it evenly, after which we sew the last hole.

Stage 3

Sew the beads to the stars. For convenience, you can do this before both parts of the star are sewn together - if desired.

Stage 4

We thread a woolen thread into one of the ends of the star, for which you can hang the finished product from felt on the Christmas tree. The simplest and very cute New Year's felt toy is ready.

  • Garland-pigtail

Another beautiful and uncomplicated "toy" made of felt, which will definitely change your better side the mood of all the inhabitants of the house is a two-color garland-pigtail. It is easy to make such an ornament, and most importantly, you do not need to spend time filling the toy and sewing along the edges.

Materials:

  1. Felt of any festive colors;
  2. Scissors, clerical knife;
  3. Needle, thread, pins;
  4. Pencil.

Progress:

Cut from two sheets of felt different color stripes of the same size (length 25 cm, width - optional). We fasten together two multi-colored strips with pins at the top and bottom.

Then two cuts are made in the middle of the double strip stationery knife(as in the photo). After that, we make a “pigtail” pattern: we pass the end of the double strip closest to it into the upper cut, and then the strip is threaded into the second slot.

Now you can make a garland out of several ready-made “pigtails” by sewing them all together. Can you leave it in short form hanging around the house.

Educational for children

Educational toys made of felt are a very popular trend, since sewing similar products on their own is within the power of both novice craftsmen and needlewomen, and there are many options for such toys - for the most different ages and the interests of the children. They will help to make educational and educational toys from felt patterns.

Do-it-yourself educational toys made of felt are made according to the same principle as other types of felt products. Here are some photo ideas with useful developments.

  • Felt puzzles "In the world of animals"

Bright two-piece puzzles with cute muzzles of little animals will surely attract the child. Thus, it will be possible to start teaching the baby in a playful way. Let's take a closer look at how to make such an educational game of felt with your own hands.

Progress:

Stage 1

On a sheet of paper, mark the squares 12 × 12 cm with a ruler and a pencil. You should end up with 10 squares. Then we print out animal patterns, cut them out on paper.

Stage 2

We circle the patterns of animals, pre-attached to the material with a pin, on felt of bright colors. Muzzles and paws are made in duplicate, the second copy will "mirror" the first. Cut out all the circled details with scissors or a clerical knife. Thus, a ready-made basis for creative work is obtained.

Stage 3

Our patterns with rectangles can be turned into puzzle patterns by drawing a semblance of a “castle” in the middle. Now you can cut out one of the figured halves and attach it to the rectangle, circle and cut it out. Do the same with another bright rectangle, which is intended for the back of the puzzle.

Stage 4

After that, we select one of the blanks of animals, apply it to the front double part of the future puzzle, choose the most suitable place for the animal. Sew the upper part to one of the front halves of the puzzle with simple stitches. It is important to first indent from the edge of the background of the puzzle, leaving room for the connecting stitches between the bases.

Stage 5

Now the half of the puzzle with the animal is turned over in order to cut off the desired half of the animal along its contour. Attach part of the torso to the bottom base of the puzzle and sew it in accordance with the edges of the contours. At this stage, the animal needs to sew on the light details of the muzzle and body, which are cut off according to the same principle as the body.

Stage 6

We sew the front and back parts of the puzzle with ordinary stitches, hiding the knot between the parts. We sew on the nose and paws of the animal, glue the eyes or sew on the beads. By the same principle, we work with all the other puzzles.

A wonderful game for kids that teaches the colors of animals, and it will also help to look at the big world with small eyes in a creative way. Making it as easy as shelling pears: the game does not require great skills or artistic education - here the simpler the better. Such a toy made of felt is suitable for babies over a year old.

Progress:

Stage 1

It is necessary to take six one-color sheets of felt of the same size, first draw 6 simple animal figures on paper, cut them out and transfer them to the fert with a pencil. Then you need to cut out these ovals and primitive images of animals with a clerical knife.

Stage 2

Next, cut out several triangles, ovals and circles for the ears and heads of our future animals from bright felt sheets. Eyes can be bought in special stores, and you can also cut out circles or beads. All this must be glued to large sheets felt, or sew by hand (for small children, it is better to choose the option to sew by hand, because they put everything in their mouths).

Stage 3

Now we need to take care of making "fur coats" for our home zoo. Here it is better to use bright interesting colors of felt to attract the attention of the baby. You will only have to work on four fur coats: zebras, cows, fish and giraffe. We cut out unpretentious stripes or spots for our fur coats and sew them to the background sheets of felt.

Hello everyone! Felt is one of my favorite craft materials. As soon as I met him, I immediately fell in love! It is a pleasure to work with him. By the way, you can see my work and. And today I want to show you educational felt toys that I sewed with my own hands.

Many will ask, why suffer, sew and waste time on making development shoes, if they are literally teeming with store shelves? You can find games for every taste and budget. Cardboard cards are very popular, and they are very inexpensive, and wooden toys will never go out of style. Yes, indeed, there is no need to complain about the lack of diversity. But the feeling with which you make your baby a toy cannot be conveyed. As they say, the most valuable gift is the one that is made with your own hands.

And then at one fine moment I decided to please my eldest daughter with another development kit. It was with my first child that I developed a disease called “fetromania”. As I remember now, I did needlework in the late evenings, when everyone was sleeping.

But I didn't complain. Being alone with myself, and even doing what I love, was a real vacation for me.

Just then I didn't think of it. Basically, of course, I took ideas from the Internet and found a lot of like-minded women and craftswomen with whom it was a joy to exchange experiences and show off my next creation.

And now I will show you my works, I hope they will inspire you a little, and you will want to please your child with another toy, only made by yourself, with the love and warmth of your hands.

What felt to use for sewing educational toys

In one of the previous articles about felt, I wrote that it can be of high quality, for example, Korean, or not of high quality, for example, Chinese. The first is more durable, it does not form pellets and is more dense. The second is less wear-resistant and forms into spools.

I have been using Chinese since the beginning of my creative journey. But then Korean was hard to come by, and you had to order it directly from Korea. Now this material can be found in any store for creativity. Therefore, I advise you to purchase only high-quality material, even if it is a little more expensive, but you definitely will not regret your choice.

You can see examples of felt sets for sewing educational toys here. Also if needed individual sheets one color, for example, for sewing puzzles, you can buy them separately here. In this online store, I myself order the material, so if you buy felt here, you will definitely not regret it.

And recently, very often you can find felt with a print. It is sooo easy to use and sewing educational toys has become much easier. You just need to cut out figures from a sheet of felt.

Here you can see examples. There are a lot of them on different topics. If at the time when I was just starting my creative path with felt, there was such a material, then I would definitely use it for sewing educational books and a rug, which you will learn about later.

Felt educational toys

And so, in order to sew a toy you will need the felt itself, sewing machine or a needle and thread, accessories (which one depends on the toy itself) and a burning desire to create something.

Let me remind you that even those who do not own sewing machine, can work with felt without problems. It's just that everything will need to be sewn manually, which will take a little longer. But, nevertheless, the discount will still be beautiful and special.

DIY felt puzzles

For puzzles, you will need a plain felt of a light shade, for example, white, gray, brown. This will be the background for the picture. Take the pictures themselves from the coloring pages. That is, type in the search engine the query “coloring for kids”. Choose those pictures that you like, edit in the editor, adjusting to the desired size, and print on the printer. They can also be transferred from screen to sheet with a pencil. This is exactly what I did when it was not possible to use the technique.

Then you cut out the whole thing and the patterns are ready. How many puzzles you will have is up to you. Usually moms sew about ten pieces.

The size of one piece, that is, one puzzle, is also regulated by you. I'm doing 10 by 10 centimeters.

The second stage is cutting and sewing. Cut out the pictures and the front pieces of the puzzles - squares. Find the pictures in the squares. You will get blanks for the front of the game.

Then take a large sheet of felt and attach the front blanks to it and sew. Only then cut along the contour, taking into account the front squares with pictures. This is necessary to ensure that the edges are smooth. I tried to connect two pre-cut squares, but it turned out not quite neat and uneven. Therefore, I recommend this method to everyone.

It remains the case for the small. Cut the puzzles in half and sew the edges. By the way, you can make not only a straight cut along, but also a zigzag, round cut, like in real puzzles. It is easy to sew such a developing felt toy.

DIY felt lacing

Felt lacing was not sewn only by the laziest craftswomen. It is not only easy to perform, but also very useful for the development of fine motor skills of babies.

I once also sewed this toy for my children, but when they played enough, I gave it to the kindergarten.

In order to make lacing, you will need a template or pattern. A lot of people make it in the form of a hedgehog, which has mushrooms and leaves on its back, someone sews it in the form of a mushroom with snails and caterpillars. I came up with an aquarium with fish.

And so, using children's drawings or your imagination, draw a base on a piece of paper - a background (for example, a hedgehog or a mushroom) and separately elements that will be tied with laces. There can be as many as you want.

Cut out all the details from paper and then from felt. Sew them, and do not forget, each of them should consist of two layers, that is, the front layer and the back.

Then it remains to make holes. I did this with a knife and then installed the grommets. If you do not have such a device, then you can simply cut neat holes with scissors.

Do-it-yourself fishing from felt

A very cool game that my girls still love. From time to time they play it and compete among themselves who will catch the most fish. The whole secret lies in the magnets. Paper clips are attached inside each fish, and a magnet is sewn on the end of the fishing rod.

Thus, an original and exciting game is obtained. Fishing is sewn from felt by analogy with previous toys.

The game "Who eats what?" from felt

Training fingers with clothespins is very useful. This technique is used in kindergartens and development centers. In addition, such a game will develop logic and ingenuity.

The movements of the baby will be more confident and flexible each time. With each subsequent lesson, you will notice that hand motor skills are getting better and better.

You can change the game a little and call it, for example, “Whose tail?” or “Whose nose?”

Cards for learning colors from felt

She is also a game that will allow the baby to learn or consolidate knowledge about colors. It consists of four color cards with drawings of the main colors, seven color cards and one template card. Template in this case in the form of a flower. Pinning a certain color from below, it becomes colored. In this game, it is very important to talk with the baby and explain everything in detail and plain language.

Do-it-yourself developing felt rug

And the last work for today in my performance is a developing felt rug. Rather, it is not only made of felt, but also of fabric, synthetic winterizer and various kinds of accessories, which are an integral part of the toy.

I will say right away that in the photo it is not quite finished yet. Only the back side of the rug is not finished, which hides all the purl seams and synthetic winterizer.

It was the synthetic winterizer that I chose as the internal filling for the rug. It is thin and at the same time gives the product airiness, shape and ease of use.

The background is made of fabric that I sewed together in the form of sky, earth and sea.

And everything else, in fact, is felt. There are a lot of details that are removed and attached with Velcro, for example, the garden is completely sewn from fleecy fabric, and a hard part of Velcro is sewn to the vegetables on the back side. The same applies to apples, animals, sun and clouds.

Flowers are fastened with buttons. Thus, colors can be studied.

The jellyfish turned out to be convex, and magnets were sewn into the claws of the cancer and the eyes. He can play hide and seek.

On the developing rug there can be a search box, hooks, fasteners and much, much more. This is where fantasy really kicks in. With the help of figurines, kids can easily come up with a plot, and will be happy to play role-playing games with them.

Recently, I got the idea to sew such a rug in the form of a dollhouse, like a book, only all the pages are unfolded and in front of my eyes. I think soon I'll take over new job.)

That's all for today. Write your comments about my work and educational toys made of felt in my performance, and please do not judge strictly!)))

Felt - thin, but dense felt with the addition of synthetic fiber. This material is interesting to us for its unpretentiousness in work, ease of processing. You can simply cut out the desired outlines and sew without any additional devices, ironing, steaming, edging, etc. In this lesson, children may well become helpers, while developing their imagination, creative thinking, fine motor skills. It is also important that now on the market is represented wide range of colors and shades of felt, giving a huge scope for creativity.

Another handicraft work - the game Memory from felt.

Cardboard memories bought in the store are somehow not popular with us. But those made by my mother are much more popular))) Yes, I myself like them more, of course! I'm sure Nina feels it. I've been thinking about this for a couple of years - and voila - the game is ready!

Yesterday I just finished it, I immediately sat down to play. 10 times, probably. Surprisingly, the number of pictures in 24 is difficult for me to remember, but Nina copes easily. In total, out of 10 times, she won 8 (I did not give in, although my visual memory is good, but she seems to be better))))

How to make such a game?

To make the game we need:

  • 2 sheets of A4 pharmaceutical felt. Felt can be used in the same colors, contrasting or take 2 shades of the same color. There is room for imagination and any variations have a place to be. I just took not popular colors that are combined with each other, they have to be spent somewhere)))
  • 24 buttons (12 pairs). You can also use any, but it is better that they are flat and thin. They are not very thin for me, but they still fit well for the game. I took wooden buttons: flowers, butterflies different colors and one pair of cats. I'll tell you later why.
  • Threads in the color of the base (I have a burgundy color) and in the color of the buttons (although this is no longer important, I just like when everything is thoughtfully and neatly combined)
  • For work: scissors, ruler, marker or pencil on the fabric, washable or disappearing.

Progress:

  • We draw the felt into squares. External squares (shirt), I have them dark - size 5 by 5 cm. Light - 4.5 cm
  • Cut into squares
  • We sew buttons to the light ones, one per square in the center, we tie a knot well from the wrong side
  • Sew two square pieces together. I sewed with a “needle forward” seam, trying to make stitches of equal length at an equal distance, leaving a small indent from the edge.

This thickness will turn out a card for the game

This is what it looks like front side. If the threads are matched exactly, then the stitches are almost invisible.

How to play?

You can play like a classic memory game: turn over 2 cards in turn and if they are the same, take a pair for yourself, and if different, leave in the game.

Our option is a little more complicated: if you turn butterflies or flowers over, you can take the pairs for yourself, but if you open cats, the cats disperse all the butterflies from the flowers and the game ends ahead of schedule. (i.e., you can do it not as a competition with each other, but as a competition with cereals. We will have time to save and take away all the butterflies and flowers until the cats are open or not).

Educational toys made of felt are safe even for the smallest explorers of the world, and do-it-yourself toys will help you save a lot...

Despite the abundance of educational toys in stores, their cost does not always allow parents to buy everything they need for useful games. Do-it-yourself manuals allow you to save a lot. Felt is one of the most accessible and practical materials for such crafts. Educational toys made of felt are safe even for the smallest explorers of the world, and its universal properties make it possible to bring almost any idea to life.

Why felt?

Felt rightfully enjoys special popularity among craftswomen, because it is easy to work with it, and in its qualities it significantly surpasses other fabrics. About the advantages of the material:

  • pleasant to the touch, it is absolutely safe even for allergy sufferers (woolen);
  • its edges do not need to be overcast, even after washing they do not crumble and retain their shape;
  • wide color palette, assortment of fabric by thickness and composition (natural or artificial);
  • elements of the material can be glued like regular paper.

How do these qualities of felt "work" in educational toys? Different touch surfaces and bright colours contribute to the development of sensory perception, and small parts with Velcro, beads and other decorative elements with which toys get off, include fine motor skills of the hands in the work. In addition, the details of the benefits are movable, the kids learn to attach and tear them off, put them on buttons, move them along the ribbons. The homemade plot is responsible for the rest of the developing "tricks".

Thematic material:

Ideas and homemade plots

Speaking of "educational toys" we often mean benefits for children of early and preschool age. Fulfilling their educational goal, they all differ in complexity and content.

Mobiles are sewn from felt for newborn children. These are hanging structures that are attached to the crib. They are distinguished by a bright color palette and the simplicity of the figures. They can be flat or filled with filler. Patterns of details are usually taken from ordinary children's coloring books. For example, it can be animals.

Patterns must be printed, cut and transferred to the fabric. It remains only to sew a funny animal. By the way, this can be done with a machine or manually. Some parts can simply be glued on.

It is best to sew on details with floss threads. Their palette will help to accurately match the color of the fabric.

You can also do it yourself soft books, cubes and finger puppets, .

Master classes

Using the example of specific master classes, you can be sure that working with felt is not at all difficult even for beginner needlewomen.

Puzzles

For puzzles, you will need a plain material of a light shade and the pictures themselves. You can draw their patterns or use ready-made examples. The size and shape of the puzzle depends on your desires, for example, you can make pictures of 10 * 10 cm. For children 1-2 years old, manuals consisting of 2-6 parts are suitable.

Puzzles with animals can be further differentiated by the background. For example, 2 pictures of the same background are domestic animals, with a different color - wild, inhabitants of hot countries. Then, in addition to collecting the puzzles themselves, you can also classify animals with your child.

Feature articles:

Lacing

For children from 1.5 years old, lacing can be sewn from felt. Usually it is a hedgehog or a tree, on which the baby attaches apples, leaves or mushrooms with the help of a lace.

First, the base is prepared, i.e. the hedgehog or the tree. It should be double-sided and sufficiently dense. Then outline what will be attached. These details must also be double-sided. It remains only to think about how to make holes. You can install eyelets or just cut neat holes.

Vegetables and fruits

We draw the patterns on the material and sew the finished parts with a buttonhole, leaving a hole in order to stuff the toy. A synthetic winterizer or a sponge is usually used as a filler, but toys can also be stuffed with bulk materials (buckwheat, rice, peas). Just do not forget to pre-calcine the cereals in the oven so that the bugs do not start. For very young children, hide bells or paper inside that will rustle.

Vegetables and fruits are one of the first lexical topics that a child should learn. In addition to voluminous benefits, you can make fruits with Velcro or buttons that are collected in a basket.

3-D puzzles

For such a voluminous elephant, it is better to choose thick felt (3 mm). Copy the patterns and cut out the details. We sew on a typewriter or buttonhole seam. We decorate the toy with a floss tail and eyes. You can also come up with tusks.

As mothers-craftswomen say, it all started with just one toy. And then “fetromania” began, from which it is difficult, and it is not necessary to get rid of. Please your children with educational aids, and let inspiration never leave you!
