Toilet paper crafts for kids. toilet paper crafts

Needlework is amazing! A variety of little things, household items, stationery, small natural materials are used. What about a non-standard source material like toilet paper? At first glance, it may seem that this is not a very suitable material for crafts.

But crafts made from toilet paper rolls look very original. This material is in every home, it is not expensive, and used paper sleeves are often simply thrown away.

In fact, toilet paper opens up a whole horizon of interesting ideas for children's crafts. And some crafts can be useful in everyday life.

It doesn't get easier

Before you start the creative process, you need to stock up on materials. Keep paper cores. When working with bushings, paint, brushes, markers, colored paper, and more will come in handy.

Bush Animals

Depending on the age of your baby, you can start with the simplest. For example, you can make a whole puppet ensemble of animals.

The sleeve serves as the body of the animal. Therefore, it should be painted or pasted over in the color corresponding to the color of the animal. Bunny - gray, fox - orange, penguin - black and white.

After the work done, make additional elements in the form of ears, legs, nose, beak, and so on. Glue all parts to the appropriate places. The result is simple yet colorful critters to play with.

An unusual craft can be an octopus. Color the body blue. After that, cut the lower part evenly into strips. The width of the strips is approximately one centimeter each, the depth is up to the middle of the sleeve. Bend all the resulting strips outward. It remains only to stick eyes and draw a smile. Underwater friend is ready!

pencil holder

Making a pencil holder is also a simple process. In addition, the resulting item has a practical use.

To make the product stable, it is better to use 3-4 bushings. First, glue the decorated bushings together, then stick them on a cardboard base.

You can decorate the sleeves in the form of birds from the computer game "Angry birds". As you can see in the photo of toilet paper crafts, this option is simple and very similar to the characters in the game. First you need to glue the cardboard tube with colored paper. Eyebrows, eyes, beak cut out separately from the corresponding colored cardboard. Glue all elements in place.

If you approach the process scrupulously, such coasters can be a worthy gift and your child will be able to give them when going to visit someone.

Bushing pins

Glue blanks in different colors. Number each pin. You can play bowling without leaving your home.

Automobile

Paste the blank in red or yellow color of a sports car. Cut out round wheels from black cardboard. From white cardboard, cut circles of smaller diameter - these are rims, and stick them on black blanks. Glue the finished wheels to the appropriate places.

An important detail is the driver's seat. Cut a round or rectangular hole in the center of the bushing. Glue the back into the resulting opening. To convey the similarity with a real racing car, draw a number on the body.

Making crafts from toilet paper rolls is a very simple, unpretentious process. At the same time, it is able to give you and your child a whole evening of interesting play.

If the child is already more diligent and ready for new achievements, try to make more complex products.

snow woman

To make a snowman, you will need white and pink soft toilet paper, paints and a brush.

Roll the unwound white paper into a bundle. After the work done, wind the tourniquet into a ball, but not very tightly. Tuck the end of the paper into the middle of the ball.

Make three balls of different sizes. To make handles with a similar technique. Using glue, glue all the elements together.

Make a hat out of pink paper. From a pink tourniquet, make a ring, and glue the ends. In the same way, make another ring - of a smaller diameter. The third ring is quite small. Using glue, lay the rings one on top of the other in the form of a pyramid. It should be a snow cap.

The basis for the design will be a sheet of cardboard. To give a snow cover, lay out a bundle of paper in a circle, after lubricating the cardboard with glue.

Glue the snowman to the center of the base. Using gouache draw eyes, nose, cheeks and mouth. Such a craft can be a wonderful decoration for a child's room in the winter.

The variety of crafts from this material is limited only by imagination. But in this case, the Internet comes to the rescue. Alternatively, you can make a castle, glasses, cups, houses and much more.

decorative ornaments

For a school-age child, you can raise the difficulty level and make new toilet paper crafts.

Garland

A garland of paper cores can be a good decoration for a family or themed holiday. Stick the photographs printed on the printer or the necessary drawings on the tubes. String all the bushings on a dense thread like beads in beads. Attach the resulting garland to the wall with buttons. Decorate the places of fastening to the wall with bows.

tree with photos

If you have photographs hanging on your wall, you can arrange them in the form of a family tree with the help of bushings. Cut the bushing into rings. Thickness is up to you. From the received rings to make leaflets. To do this, the ring must be squeezed from both sides to obtain the desired shape.

The resulting leaves are dyed green. Additionally, cut out tree branches from black or brown cardboard. Using double-sided tape, stick all the elements between the photos.

This composition looks much more original.

Useful crafts

Crafts from toilet paper tubes can carry not only an aesthetic, but also a semantic load in the house.

Wire holder

Alternatively, wire holders can be made from them. So that a lot of wires and headphones do not get mixed up in the drawer, they can be inserted into toilet straws.

The tubes are pre-fastened together or placed close to each other in a shoe box and placed on the bottom of the drawer.

Seedling containers

If you collect the tubes for a whole year, in the spring they can be laid out in a plastic tray and sprinkled with soil over them. They will cope with the assigned task no worse than peat pots.

Photo of toilet paper crafts

For creative activities with children or your own hobby, various materials are used. The most easily accessible, does not require huge financial costs and allows you to create unusual work - this is ordinary toilet paper. Toilet paper crafts are available even to the smallest children.

The development of creativity in a baby brings up a comprehensively developed personality. The baby learns to apply and use ordinary things in the most unusual way. The child develops imagination, there is a further development of fine motor skills.

With the help of toilet paper, you can create many products for decorating the interior, as well as puppet theater toys, paintings and papier-mâché works. Rolls of toilet paper are used in crafts completely - both the toilet paper itself and the tube are used. Useful gizmos for the home are made from bobbins.

  • Applications. The softness of the paper material is very important for creating a voluminous application, in order to give smoothness and naturalness to the forms of the work.
  • Toys. New Year's and for puppet shows at home.
  • Works from papier-mâché.
  • Pictures, panels.
  • Original packaging for gifts.
  • Stands for pencils and jewelry. Creation of various organizers.

A huge scope for creativity is do-it-yourself toilet paper crafts. The kid, together with his mother, can build a whole zoo for himself or make useful things that will help put things in order in the house. The big advantage of such exercises is ease and speed. The child will not have time to get tired of classes and will be able to quickly see the result of his work.

Getting ready for work

To create DIY crafts from toilet paper rolls, you need to prepare the following materials:

  • Toilet paper tubes. The more sleeves are prepared, the wider the range of children's work.
  • Glue. PVA glue is usually used, which is great for working with such material.
  • Paints, pencils, markers.
  • Toilet paper rolls: multi-colored and white.
  • Scissors. To prevent injury, choose scissors with rounded tips.

To create products using the papier-mâché technique, you need to prepare:

  • paste:
  • PVA glue;
  • toilet paper;
  • plasticine;
  • acrylic paints and putty;
  • plastic basin;
  • water and a hand towel.

Sleeve toys

The first crafts from a toilet paper tube can be animal figurines. These are easy to make and kids will love them.

  • To make a bunny, owl or cartoon character, prepare bobbins. Paint them in different colors or glue them with colored paper.
  • Cut off 2 rings from the received colored rolls, they will be useful for the ears of the bunny. Glue the ears with the lower end inside the tubes. Help the baby to draw the face of a bunny.

If you glue paws, a tail and a muzzle to the resulting multi-colored bobbin, then in a similar way you can make a whole zoo for the crumbs or collect fairy tale characters.

It is very easy to make an octopus from such a roll. To do this, glue thin paper strips along the bottom of the sleeve and twist them with scissors. You can simply cut the bottom of the paper reel into narrow strips. Get a cute octopus.

For preschoolers 5-6 years old, it is possible to make more complex figures. For crafts, you need to wrap one end of the tube inside and connect. Get ears. Most often, owls are made in this way. If you wrap both ends of the sleeve, you get a gift bag.

Being engaged in crafts from toilet paper rolls, you can arrange races from made cars. Cut a hole in the middle of the roll for the driver. For cars, it is necessary to glue thick cardboard wheels to the tube, and the racing car is ready.

In winter, when the birds suffer from a lack of food, invite your child to make a bird feeder. To do this, roll the cardboard roll in honey, peanut butter. Dip the resulting sticky surface into a handful of seeds or grains. Hang such a feeder near the house so that the baby can watch the birds while walking.

Making an organizer

Crafts from toilet paper tubes can be useful for absent-minded children. For them, you can make a real organizer in which the baby will put pencils, pens, scissors. The task of any organizer is a compact arrangement of stationery. The baby will choose how many sections of the organizer he needs to make, what size, how to color the elements of the craft.

If desired, the child can always expand his personal organizer. In her work, the fidget will combine boxes of different sizes along with crafts made from toilet paper rolls. Tubes can be placed vertically, then under the base it is necessary to prepare a sheet of thick cardboard, a wooden square or a circle.

If the kid wants to store paper and paints in the organizer, then it is better to place small boxes in the foreground of the composition. Place the bushings behind the boxes and glue one side to the base. Decorate tubes and boxes before gluing. Paste the details of the organizer with colored paper, paint with felt-tip pens or paints, or stick colored strips - paper, or from pieces of fabric.

Caterpillar

The kid will love the pencil caterpillar. Multi-colored bushings are glued together to create the body of the caterpillar. The head of the caterpillar can be drawn and cut out by the baby. Such a product, decorated with bright corrugated paper, looks beautiful.

Garage

A variety of crafts from toilet paper rolls is the key to the child's constant interest in creativity. To teach the crumbs to order, invite him to make a garage for cars from cardboard tubes. In a large box, starting from the bottom, glue the toilet paper rolls together. Each empty tube will serve as a garage for cars.

Crafts from toilet paper reels will help the baby develop imagination, teach them to be clean and tidy. The baby will be happy to design his room or shelves for toys.

Conclusion

School-age children successfully learn how to make crafts from toilet paper and PVA glue. Already in kindergarten, they receive basic knowledge of how to glue materials of different textures. Step-by-step creation of figures from papier-mâché can be seen in special master classes.

And spending time together only strengthens the emotional connection and contributes to the formation of more trusting and friendly relations between an adult and a child.
Tools and materials:
1. cardboard,
2. PVA glue,
3. toilet paper,
4. gouache paints,
5. brush for glue and paints,
6. bowl or small container
7. Acrylic spray or hairspray
8. pencil.

Safety precautions:
Rules for working with PVA glue
1. When working with glue, use a brush if necessary
2. Take the amount of glue that is required to complete the work at this stage
3. It is necessary to apply glue in an even thin layer
4. Try not to get glue on clothes, face and especially eyes
5. After work, close the adhesive tightly and remove
6. Wash your hands and work area with soap

We proceed to create the main background of the picture, for this, from a roll of toilet paper, tear off a segment equal to the width of the cardboard + 3 - 4 cm. Coat the cardboard with glue and glue the paper, forming arbitrary folds.

We tear off the next segment and glue it under the first segment, laying it 3-5 mm on the first one.

We coat the joints of the strips of paper with glue.

We glue the whole cardboard and let it dry.

With a pencil or graphite we make a sketch of the picture on the main background. Since spring has come and nature is blooming in all its glory, we draw the sun, clouds, a hill, a river with pebbles, a tree with foliage and flowers.

Pour glue into a container (I have a bowl) and dilute it with a little water (because the main background and the mass are of the same color, I added a little gouache to the water so that the differences can be seen in the photo),

Tear up paper finely, soak

and lay out from the mass, which we crush in our hands, the sun and clouds. The laid out mass is smoothed with a finger so that the surface becomes smooth.

Denote the hill: glue the paper and drape the folds with your fingers.

Water is denoted by horizontal folds.

Let's start laying out the trees. We tear off a piece of paper, moisten our fingers with glue and twist the flagella. They must be completely saturated with glue. We lay out the trunk from thick bundles, thin flagella will go to the branches.

We spread the bushes with thin flagella.
We lay out the stones from the mass, which we crush in our hands from paper and glue, it is not necessary to smooth the surface, you can press with your finger and create a hole in the stone.

Now lay out the flowers and foliage from the soaked paper. To do this, we roll up small balls and, shaping them, lay them out on our sketch.

Let's make thin flagella, twist them into spirals - this is the middle of the flower.

After all layers are laid, it is necessary to dry the picture.

Next, take the paint and start painting. Spring is in the yard, which means our colors are bright: the yellow sun, green grass and foliage, blue sky, blue river. First, paint over with darker colors: orange around the sun, then the sun with yellow, applying strokes to the orange.

We paint the sky dark blue (mixing blue and blue colors) then work on the contrast, apply blue and light blue color to the folds (mix blue and white colors).

The main background of the clouds is blue, so we lighten the sky around them with light blue and white.

We continue: the trees are brown, the stones are dark gray, the bushes are green, but first we paint the hill in the color of a sea wave and put a few strokes on the bottom of the blue sky so that the horizon does not stand out, but smoothly passes from the sky into the grass.

We paint over the folds on the hill, the bushes, and the leaves on the tree with green, you can add a little along the bottom of the horizon.

We paint the tree with light brown, the bottom of the hill with brown.

Now paint over only the convex areas on the tree and the hill with a dark brown color. We make a few strokes on the grass.

Color the water in the river blue.

Then we paint over the convex places with a dark blue color,

and the blue color is applied under the folds.

Apply light blue or white to the folds.

In yellow, in the tone of the sun, we paint the middle of the flower.

We paint the flowers in dark pink, and apply a light pink color to the middle of the petal.

We paint over the stones with a dark gray color,

Then apply gray.

Let's dry.
After the paint has dried, varnish it. We put it in a frame and admire our suddenly discovered talent for painting!

Recently, to create interesting gizmos, craftswomen use a variety of seemingly unnecessary materials. Crafts made from toilet paper, or rather from the tubes left after using it, are very popular, since working with this material is very simple.

For parents, spending time with their children is the most important job to devote maximum time to. Despite the fact that in kindergarten a child can be taught to work with scissors, glue and paints, only the person whom the child fully trusts and listens to in everything can give a powerful impetus to creative development. This is, of course, mom and dad.

Joint needlework classes are the best suited to develop creative abilities in children of preschool and primary school age. Parents have many options for what to do with their child. Various materials can be used. If earlier colored paper and cardboard were used for such purposes, now the variety of materials has grown significantly. Masters manage to use objects that they previously immediately tried to dispose of to create interesting things. Now in a matter of minutes they turn into very interesting decorations that can transform the room and add zest to it.

Attention! The most unusual and affordable material that has been used more and more often by needlewomen for crafts from toilet paper lately are the tubes that remain after it.

Real needlework masters use this material to make interesting gizmos.

For example, you can stock up on toilet paper rolls, paint brushes, and colored paper. You can make a whole puppet theater of cute little animals. This game will be very interesting for the child, but the most important thing is that he will be able to independently participate in their creation, since working on toilet paper toys is very simple.

First you need to determine what kind of toilet paper crafts will be created, what animals will turn out of their bushings. Then the rolls are painted in the appropriate color. For example, if it is a bunny, then its body, the role of which is played by the sleeve, should be gray, for the chanterelle - orange, and for the penguin - black and white. Then additional elements are cut out of colored paper. These will be eyes, spouts or beaks, paws, ears, etc. Everything is glued into place, and cute and funny animals are obtained.

You can make crafts from toilet paper rolls in the form of an octopus. To do this, the roll is painted pink, and after the paint dries, the lower part is cut into strips of 1 cm. Cuts are made exactly to the middle of the sleeve to make octopus legs. Then they are twisted to the outside. The octopus is glued with paper eyes and a smile.

Stand for stationery

In addition to creating various crafts from toilet paper rolls with your own hands, you can make an organizer for pens and pencils. This will require several rolls. They need to be painted and properly designed, but the previously obtained elements must be glued and installed on a cardboard base. It is best to combine 4 rolls, although they also make an interesting flower with six petals.

As for the design of crafts from toilet paper tubes, it can be anything. For example, the sleeves can be wrapped with a cloth, but in this case, the element design procedure will have to be carried out before gluing the rolls. Some craftsmen use products made of polymer clay or foamiran to decorate the stand for stationery. Simple buttons are also suitable. There can be a lot of options.

Sometimes it is not at all necessary to glue anything on the workpiece in order to give it an unusual appearance. For example, crafts made from toilet paper rolls can simply be coated with colored varnish. If the master has artistic skills, you can try to paint the bushings with brown wood-like varnish. It turns out a very beautiful stand for stationery, which, moreover, looks quite expensive, so it can decorate the office desktop.

Wall decoration with toilet paper

In this case, we are not talking about making toilet paper crafts in the form of a garland, although this can also look original at a themed party. All the same bushings will be used here, which have a lot of different applications.

For example, you can make crafts from toilet paper and PVA glue in the form of a picture of flowers. To do this, you need a lot of rolls, paint, a deep container, glue and scissors. Each sleeve is very carefully cut into 3 even parts so that each part is as similar as possible to the previous one. Then the paint is diluted in a container with water and the parts are lowered one by one into the paint and folded to dry.

The result is a lot of colored circles. They must be turned into ovals, that is, each detail must be flattened from the sides. You get petals. A flower is assembled from 5 such parts and glued together with PVA glue. Similar actions are performed with all blanks.

After there are a lot of neat flowers on the table, they must be distributed on the wall. For example, the very first element can be placed in the corner or near the clock hanging on the wall, and the rest will “crumble” from this flower. You can finish the composition with individual petals, which can be glued separately.

Attention! In order to attach flowers from toilet sleeves to the wall, it is best to take double-sided tape.

This is the most convenient and sparing option for the wall itself. If the master wants to remove the decoration over time, there will be no traces left on the wallpaper.

From such blanks you can make crafts from toilet paper in the form of a butterfly. To do this, several circles need to be painted in a different color, which will differ from the colors. Butterflies are assembled from four parts, and then a pair of wire antennae will need to be attached to one of the sides. It turns out very cute and original.

Toilet paper roll clock

You can arrange decorative elements in absolutely any order. It all depends on the imagination of the master. If you wish, you can even make crafts from toilet paper and glue in the form of an original watch. To do this, we need a clockwork, which can be taken from the simplest and cheapest watches, cardboard, toilet paper sleeves, glue and paints.

First of all, we make exactly 12 flowers according to the scheme described above. Next, you need to prepare the mechanism itself, to which arrows made of cardboard are glued, painted in a color similar to that used to color the flowers. Contrasting colors will look best on a light wall. You can also take black mascara in order to get a rich matte shade.
