We make a menu, choose outfits, look for decorations for main beauty- Christmas trees. However, there is nothing better jewelry handmade! I'll show you how to weave a Christmas tree rubber band. Latex rubber bands allow you to create wonderful Christmas balls without spending a lot of time and effort. This workshop will show you how to weave a beautiful ball of colored rubber bands using only a crochet hook!
Recall that last time we showed how to weave.

To create a Christmas ball, we need:

- elastic bands of 2 colors;
- clip;
- hook;
- filler for soft toys.

We need to start our weaving from the top of the ball. That is, from the place where the rope is usually attached, for which the ball is hung on the Christmas tree.
To make this detail, we will wind 1 yellow elastic band around the hook 3 times.
Here, through this rubber band (cut), we will pass 1 more yellow cut. There are 2 loops on the hook.
Through these loops we will pass 1 more cut.

Then we will again hook the hook into the very first cut, which was wound up. And so we pass 1 cut through it.

Here on our hook 4 loops are formed. We have to connect them, as it were, so we thread 1 cut through them.

So we repeat 2 more times.
The result should be 6 loops. The 6th will be on the hook.
We mark the loop on the hook with a clip.
We need to weave further in this row using the lumigurumi method.
That is, they brought the hook into the 1st loop, pulled the cut through it. Here, the very first cut needs to be pulled through all the others.
So we weave to the end.
As a result, we should have 6 loops left.
Next, we need to weave, alternating cuts in color. We will alternate lilac with yellow.
In the new row, we will add, that is, increase the number of our loops to 12.
We weave 2 cuts in each of the loops.
But here weaving is different from the previous row. We will continue to weave knots.
That is, we will hook the hook into the 1st loop and pull the lilac cut through it, but also immediately pull it through the loop on the hook.

We hang part of the cut from the finger on the hook and pull the 1st loop through the 2nd. We get a knot.

Here we skip the hook into the same 1st loop and weave the yellow cut in the same way.
Here we need to bring our hook into all subsequent loops 2 times. At the end, there will be 12 loops on our weaving.

Do not forget to hang the clip on the loop on the hook after each row.
In the next row, we will increase the number of loops to 16. Here the colors of the elastic bands also alternate. We add through 2 loops.
In this row, it is a little difficult to find the necessary loops, since the knots consist of 2 parts. We need to skip the hook always only to the left side.

Farther christmas ball You need to weave an ik from elastic bands like this: 1 row, 1 cut through the loop. We also alternate colors.
And then 9 rows go without any changes.

We will decrease from the next rows.
We will weave 2 loops by 1 cut. In the 3rd we drag the cutter. We have 3 loops on the hook, we pull the 1st through the 2nd, 2 loops remain.
Let's skip the hook into the 4th loop, pull the cutter through it. Here on our hook there will be 4 loops, we pull the 1st through the 2nd. We get 3 loops. Here we pull the 1st through all the loops.
Then again we knit 2 loops by 1 cut, and in the 3rd we subtract in the same way.
In the new row we do the same, but only through the loop. That is, we weave 1 loop with a knot, and a decrease goes to the 2nd.

We attach the cutter to the top of the ball so that it can be hung on the Christmas tree.

Materials and tools

• Gum pink, light green and yellow;
• Machine;
• Filler;
• Hook.

Stages of work

We set the machine so that the open sides of the upper row are directed to the left, and the lower row to the right.

We will work on ten columns. Five above and five below. Therefore, we define working columns for ourselves. The account will always begin and end with working columns.

We put on the first layer.

Take the main gum Pink colour. We put it on the first lower column and turn it so that it crosses in the center. We put its second side on the first column of the top row. We will wear in order. In the same way, we put a pink elastic band on the first column of the bottom row, cross it, pull its second side onto the second column of the bottom row. And so on until the fifth column. From it we will put an elastic band on the fifth column of the top row and from it we will go to the first column.

We do not throw off anything, but we impose another layer. In exactly the same way, only we do not cross the elastic band.

Now take the hook and hook the two bottom loops on the first column of the bottom row. We pull them back and draw them over the posts, throwing the weaving inside. The same is true for all columns. As a result, two loops should remain on each column.

Weave the third layer, putting on elastic bands in the same way as the second layer.

We remove the two lower loops.

The fourth layer is no different, but now we will put on light green elastic bands.

Remove the bottom layer.

The fifth row consists of rubber bands yellow color so we put them on.

Remove the bottom layer.

On the sixth row we put on light green elastic bands.

Remove the bottom layer.

The seventh, eighth and ninth rows consist of pink rubber bands.

Remove the bottom layer.

Now you need to remove the weaving from the machine. We start the hook in the first column of any row and, holding the loops with our fingers, transfer them to the hook. So in turn we remove the loops from all the columns on the hook.

Now there are two loops on the hook. We start the first under the second and get the node. We tighten. We start the hook from the inside of the weave and cling to the knot. We drag him inside.

We fill the ball with filler.

It remains to connect the second side of the ball. It consists of pairs of loops.

We need to put a hook in each pair. That is, we must put the weaving on the hook.

But first, we will lengthen the elastic band, on which we will later put on all the loops. To do this, just take a pink elastic band, put it on the hook once. Grab another elastic band with a hook and thread a loop from the hook onto it. We put the second side on the hook and draw under the first. We tighten.

Now we collect the loops on the ball on the hook. First, half the loops. And we drag an elongated elastic band through them.

We do not leave this gum on the hook. One side of it was on the index finger when we threaded it. We leave it there. But the side that was stretched through the loops is put on the thumb of the same hand.

Now we collect the rest of the loops on the ball on the hook. We grab one side of the elongated elastic band. Which one will be closer to the hook. Either from the index finger or from the thumb, it depends on which side you will start the hook.

We drag this elastic band through the loops on the hook. We put the second side from the finger on the hook. We drag the first loop on the hook under the second and tighten the knot. We hide the loop in weaving, winding the hook into any loops.

3. Hook + 1 spare.
4. Glue gun.
5. Ball (plastic).
6. Decorative ornaments ( satin ribbons, beads, leaves).

How to make a decorative rubber ball?

Please note that the number of flowers (respectively rubber bands) depends on the size of the balloon. For a ball with a circumference of 30 centimeters, I needed 76 flowers. For each flower, 20 rubber bands are used. Therefore: 20 p. * 76 colors = 1820 colored rubber bands.

So, we take the machine. Carefully remove the top row. We arrange the remaining rows so that the open part of the columns in the bottom row is directed to the right, and in the top row to the left.

We start weaving with a flower of white and lilac color. Take six rubber bands white color. Select six columns: 3 in the top row and 3 in the bottom. Throw the rubber bands on the posts, twisting them in the center.

We take two more white gum. We throw them over the previous ones (over the entire rectangle).

We crochet the two lower elastic bands on each column (these are the elastic bands of the first row) and throw them into the weave.

Weave each column.

Now we need lilac rubber bands. Exactly six pieces.

We throw one elastic band on all the posts.

Carefully separate the elastic bands on the posts. We remove the lower rubber band in the center.

In the same way we weave the remaining five elastic bands.

Now we throw on one green elastic band.

We throw off the lower elastic band in the center of weaving. After we weave another green one. We should have one green rubber band left on the columns.

We throw the elastic bands from one column to another clockwise. From the leftmost column of the top row, we throw the green elastic band to the middle column of the top row. Then, the extreme right elastic band of the upper row, we throw it on the extreme right elastic band of the lower row. After, we transfer the rubber band from the middle column of the bottom row to the leftmost column of the bottom row.

We throw off the lower gum in the center.

Now, take 3 white rubber bands. Put on a spare hook.

We pass white elastic bands through the central part of the flower. At the same time, do not remove the rubber bands from the hook, it remains at the bottom of the machine.

We remove all rubber bands, including white ones from the machine.

We take another green rubber band and thread it through the rubber bands on the hook. Fasten with a connecting loop.

We cut the white central 3 rubber bands, forming stamens at the flower.

In the same way, we weave the rest of the flowers.

Well, the most time-consuming part of the work on making a ball of rubber bands is done. It remains only to glue all the flowers on the “hot gun”.

You can decorate the flower ball with beads.

Remember that the more times you can wrap each of the rubber bands, the more bouncy the ball will be in the end. So try to weave, tightening as tight as possible.

So, by constantly adding new layers, you increase the volume of crafts.

Remember that this process is not very fast, so be patient and diligent.

When you reach a certain size, put on the irises, no longer twisting them.

As you can see, you didn’t need to use the machine, since the cotton pad serves as the basis, although it is very convenient to weave various complex types of shapes on the machine. For the same reason, you cannot make a ball on forks or a slingshot.

Please note that this craft requires a lot of physical effort and patience, so get ready for a long and painstaking work.
