But, nevertheless, on a magical New Year's Eve, everything fabulous becomes real. And the children knew about it. It was so pleasant for them to turn, at least for one night, into their favorite fairy-tale heroes. But none of them knew that the New Year was celebrated not only on Earth. He is also met in the sky - the stars, the Moon and snow-white clouds.
On New Year's Eve, one small snowy Cloud saw sparkling lights from a height Christmas tree and decided to go down to Earth to celebrate the New Year with the children. The cloud smoothly sank down and ran to the children to dance and have fun at the festively decorated Christmas tree. But what carnival costume to choose for herself, Cloud did not know. Made of snow, it was easy for him to become anyone. And it became a Rabbit!
The Snow Rabbit jumped into a round dance and danced around the Christmas tree. But the children immediately figured out his secret.
- The rabbit is not real! It's snowy. And why do we need such a Rabbit? We have a real Rabbit! - they pointed to their carnival Rabbit.
"Then I will become a Bear ..." - decided the snowy Cloud and turned into a polar bear.
- This Bear is made of snow! - shouted the children.

Preparation for the New Year's carnival begins with the question:

How to make a good evening?

The carnival is being held for the whole parallel, because it is necessary a large number of students. This will make it easier to distribute roles and tasks. Class teachers assigns and supervises all work to the classes. It is important for each student to participate in the carnival, to feel responsible for any stage of the work he performs.

You should start by drawing up a plan and script for the carnival.... The plan specifies what work a particular student should do, such as who will write the script for new year's eve who is responsible for decorating the hall, who should organize games and entertainment, prepare the entertainment part, etc.

A kind of headquarters for the New Year's carnival is being created, which includes students responsible for one or another part of the work. The artistic director of the festival is also appointed.

A student is selected, who is appointed by the director of the Carnival Fashions Atelier. He knows what costumes should be at the carnival, and gives out recommendations, because at the New Year's carnival there will be a competition for the best carnival costume, hat, mask.

Three weeks before the New Year, the carnival script should be ready... Each performer receives his own working text. All this is checked and, if necessary, corrected. Here the floor is given to the artistic director of the carnival.

When drawing up a script, it is important to consider the following point.: the carnival should not be held in the form of a concert program, it is necessary that everyone can participate in various competitions, and not just look at the stage. For this, tables are placed in the center of the hall, and the tree is located a little to the side.

The stage and corners of the hall remain free for the opportunity to organize several attractions at once in opposite corners of the hall so that the guests of the carnival can take part in the competition that they like best.

Such competitions are held in groups: they start and end at the same time, after which general games or dance competitions, round dances are held for the guests. At this time, the scenery for the following attractions is being prepared.

Prizes are prepared separately... They are awarded for the victory in different games, quizzes, contests. These can be books, combs, pens, pencils, notebooks, sweets, and various souvenirs.

Prizes are also comic: a bunch of bagels, a set of products in a string bag (potatoes, cabbage, carrots). Prizes must be prepared in advance. To do this, you can organize a piggy bank - to collect money for prizes, to decorate the hall, to create a hut with masks and a New Year's buffet - or invite children and teachers to bring any two or three prizes, which will later be packed and placed in Santa Claus's bag.

You can give prizes in different ways.

1. Prize circle, divided into numbered sectors, rotates rapidly. A pistol shot, the "bullet" of which (a sharp stick) pierces one of the sectors, determines which prize the lucky winner will receive.

2. " His hand is the lord"- such an announcement is hung over the table on the stage. There are prizes in paper rolls on the table. The prize-winner chooses any package for himself. Their magnitude is often deceiving. A large package may just contain a lot of paper.

3. Prize lottery... Winners in numerous contests, games and attractions are given special tokens to participate in the prize lottery. The prize-winners take out from the drum rolled tickets with the number or name of the prize.

4. Ropes... There are 10-15 ropes hanging from the crossbar, the ends of which are tied to prizes hidden by a screen. The prize-winner, going up to the screen, pulls the string and pulls out the prize.

5. Lucky List... Those interested can choose any item from the list hanging on the stage. The prizes are mostly comic. When giving out the prize, the host can make humorous comments. A sample list of prizes is as follows:

The keyholes of the caskets are hung with cardboard circles, which the host takes off one by one. Colored space appears under them.

If the color of the keyhole matches the color of the key, then the chest opens and a prize is issued from it. If the color of the key does not match the color of the lock, the prize will not be awarded: the chest cannot be opened.

7. Cut the prize... On two racks at a height of about two meters, a rope is pulled tightly, prizes are tied to it on strings (they go down to the waist). The contender for the prize stands 7-10 steps from the rope, he is blindfolded, given scissors and offered to go forward with an outstretched hand. Having closed the blades of the scissors, he must cut the thread with the prize. Anyone who fails to cut the prize loses the right to receive it.

This issue-game can be complicated by inviting the player to spin blindfolded twice, and then go forward and cut the prize.

A few days before the carnival, a poster appears, describing the program of the holiday in a funny, comic form: everything in it is fascinating and mysterious. Everyone is in high spirits, students cannot wait for the holiday.

In our culture of the New Year holidays, the concepts of "masquerade" and "carnival" are used as identical, nevertheless, the history of their origin and development is different.

The word "carnival" translated from Babylonian means "ship-sea". Obviously, this is due to the legends about the New Year's rituals of the sailing of the god Marduk along the Euphrates. The origins of the European carnival tradition go back to the custom of dressing up on the ancient Roman holiday of Saturnalia. During these days, the slaves temporarily gained freedom, they put on the clothes of their masters and feasted, sang and danced with them.

According to other sources, the word "carnival" comes from the Italian "Carne, Valais!", Which means "Meat, goodbye!" The holiday appeared in the Middle Ages among Italians, who, on the eve of 40 days of fasting, organized magnificent festivities, in the center of which was a bull - a symbol of abundance and strength. He was decorated with flowers, ribbons and garlands, he was led with honor through the streets, and three days later he was slaughtered (“Meat, goodbye!”). Carnivals were the time when it was allowed to do everything that was not allowed on weekdays. It was not only a celebration of gluttony, but also a revelry of spectacles, public amusements and competitions.

Carnival as a type of festivities with street processions and theatrical games lives in many countries today, but the ancestor of these modern holidays is considered to be the famous Cryoco Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. The current carnival has absorbed influences from three different cultures: European, South American and African.

The word "mask" comes from the Latin "mask". In ancient times, the mask was the embodiment of the ancestral power of the tribe, and shamans used different types of masks for different cult purposes.

The ancient Greeks turned the mask into an integral part of the ancient theater. Actors in it could only be men who, skillfully changing masks, had to play several roles in one performance. V Ancient Rus masks were used by buffoons, and in medieval Europe - by troupes of wandering actors.

The mask became an attribute of the festive action in the 16th century with the emergence of the comedy delarte, or the comedy of masks, which is a stage performance not associated with a rigid script. Masquerades originated in Italy and from there spread to many European countries. Masks are an attribute of traditional theater in Japan, South and Southeast Asia, etc.

Of course, a modern carnival mask - an overlay with cutouts for the eyes that hides the face - can be bought without much hassle at specialized New Year's sales, but it is much more interesting to make it yourself.

Home New Year's factory for the production Christmas tree decorations, gifts and masks must be opened at least a month before the holiday, especially since this is the most effective and reliable way to create a joyful pre-holiday atmosphere. Carnival masks are made from the most different materials: paper, leather, fabric, papier-mâché. Usually a combination of tools and materials is used. It is better to master the technology for the production of New Year's masks according to special patterns, which can be found in abundance in the December issues of magazines of past years or tear-off calendars.

The easiest way is to make a half mask, which, covering half of the face, will look like glasses. It can be cut out of cardboard, velvet paper, fabric, giving the glasses unusual fancy shapes. The initiator of masquerades as mass public entertainment in Russia was Peter I - a passionate lover of dressing up. In 1721, a lavish street parade was staged to commemorate the Peace of Nystad, which ended the victorious war between Russia and Sweden. Anna Ioannovna became the successor of the carnival traditions, who in 1731 staged a grand masquerade on the occasion of the first anniversary of her accession to the throne, which lasted a whole month.

Empress Elizaveta Petrovna, who often arranged masquerades called "metamorphoses", also had a weakness for dressing up. Their participants had to appear in costumes of the opposite sex: men were instructed to wear a woman's dress with a corset on a whalebone, and women put on men's trousers and camisoles.

During the reign of Catherine II, the fashion for masquerades flared up again. In 1763, a grandiose theatrical masquerade "Triumphant Minerva" was staged in Moscow on the occasion of the coronation of Catherine II. Its manager was the famous Russian actor F.G. Volkoz, poems and songs for choirs were written by M.M. Kheraskov and A.P. Sumarokov. The masquerade procession, which lasted three days, amounted to 4 thousand actors and 12 chariots.

Later, masquerades were staged without any special political or social event, with dances and the obligatory use of masks and carnival costumes. In the 19th century, the masquerade tradition was replaced by balls. Since 1837, Christmas masquerades have been held annually for 37 years in the Mikhailovsky Manege.

The tradition of organizing masquerades to celebrate the New Year began to take shape in Russia in the second half of the 19th century after the first public Christmas tree with carnival costumes and masks was held in St. Petersburg in 1852. New Year's court masquerades became popular, which were held

December 31 at the Winter Palace. Tickets for these festivities were handed out free of charge to those wishing to from the middle and upper strata of society. In the evening, the numerous magnificent rooms of the palace were gradually filled with a rather motley audience: merchants and shopkeepers accompanied by wives and daughters in brocade and silk dresses, officers in ceremonial uniforms, important employees of foreign embassies. Preparing for the New Year's carnival

New Year's carnival is not an ordinary holiday. It must pass in such a way that each participant feels like in a fairyland, believes in the existence of miracles.

Preparing for the New Year's carnival begins with the question: how to make a good evening?

The carnival is being held for a whole parallel, because a large number of students are needed. This will make it easier to distribute roles and tasks. Class teachers assign and direct all work to the classes. It is important for each student to participate in the carnival, to feel responsible for any stage of the work he performs.

You should start by drawing up a plan and script for the carnival. The plan indicates what kind of work a certain student should do, for example, who will write the script for the New Year's Eve, who is responsible for decorating the hall, who should organize games and entertainment, prepare an entertainment part, etc. A kind of headquarters for the New Year's carnival is created, which includes students responsible for this or that part of the work. The artistic director of the festival is also appointed.

A student is selected, who is appointed by the director of the Carnival Fashions Atelier. He knows what costumes should be at the carnival, and gives out recommendations, because at the New Year's carnival there will be a competition for the best carnival costume, hat, mask.

Three weeks before the New Year, the carnival script should be ready. Each performer receives his own working text. All this is checked and, if necessary, corrected. Here the floor is given to the artistic director of the carnival.

When drawing up the script, it is important to take into account the following point: the carnival should not be held in the form of a concert program, it is necessary that everyone can participate in various competitions, and not just look at the stage. For this, tables are placed in the center of the hall, and the tree is located a little to the side. The stage and corners of the hall remain free for the opportunity to organize several attractions at once in opposite corners of the hall so that the guests of the carnival can take part in the competition that they like best. Such competitions are held in groups: they start and end at the same time, after which general games or dance competitions, round dances are held for the guests. At this time, the scenery for the following attractions is being prepared.

Prizes are being prepared separately. They are awarded for winning various games, quizzes, contests. These can be books, combs, pens, pencils, notebooks, sweets, and various souvenirs. Prizes are also comic: a bunch of bagels, a set of products in a string bag (potatoes, cabbage, carrots). Prizes must be prepared in advance. To do this, you can organize a piggy bank - collect money for prizes, to decorate the hall, to create a hut with masks and a New Year's buffet - or invite children and teachers to bring any two or three prizes, which will later be packed and placed in Santa Claus's bag.

You can give prizes in different ways.

1) Prize circle, divided into numbered sectors, rotates rapidly. A pistol shot, the "bullet" of which (a sharp stick) pierces one of the sectors, determines which prize the lucky winner will receive.

2) "His hand is the lord"- such an announcement is hung over the table on the stage. There are prizes in paper rolls on the table. The prize-winner chooses any package for himself. Their magnitude is often deceiving. A large package may just contain a lot of paper.

3) Prize lottery. Winners in numerous contests, games and attractions are given special tokens to participate in the prize lottery. The prize-winners take out from the drum rolled tickets with the number or name of the prize.

4) Rope. There are 10-15 ropes hanging from the crossbar, the ends of which are tied to prizes hidden by a screen. The prize-winner, going up to the screen, pulls the string and pulls out the prize.

7) Cut the prize. On two racks at a height of about two meters, a rope is pulled tightly, prizes are tied to it on strings (they go down to the waist). The contender for the prize stands 7-10 steps from the rope, he is blindfolded, given scissors and offered to go forward with an outstretched hand. Having closed the blades of the scissors, he must cut the thread with the prize. Anyone who fails to cut the prize loses the right to receive it.
