DIY Easter wreath. DIY Easter wreath made of eggshells and natural materials

Celebrating Easter, people try to fulfill all the traditions and collect all the attributes of the holiday, because each has a deep meaning. They bake delicious pancakes with Easter cakes and at the same time figure out how to make an Easter wreath with their own hands, where to hang it and what such wreaths mean.

Wreath as a symbol

Each item made specifically for Easter is striking in its simplicity and meaning. For example, Easter eggs. Once Mary Magdalene took the ruler several ordinary, white eggs as a gift when she went to tell him the wonderful news about the Resurrection of Christ. Vladyka then, having accepted the gift, used it as an example of his righteousness, because he did not believe in rumors: "as the eggs remain white, the dead do not rise." In a moment, the normal eggs turned red. This is why people paint eggs and the shades of red are the most traditional.

What is a wreath? Its round or heart-shaped form has a closed structure, like an endless circle or cycle of life. Easter itself is considered a day of celebration when Life was able to defeat Death. The Resurrection of Christ became that symbol of faith, that example for others that the spirit is immortal and any person does not leave without a trace.

Death is not a point, but just a door to something new. Therefore, the shape of the wreath repeats the statement about the eternity of the spirit and the cycle of life. And yes, this is a little nod to Christmas when wreaths are used too. They are usually hung either on the walls, or above the door, on the gate, if the house is private.

Making wreaths has become a modern tradition, people want to decorate their homes more, filling Easter with warm, beautiful symbols. There are no rules for making the right wreath, you can use any materials at hand to make the Easter wreath, and with your own hands, a photo, beautiful, bright and even warm. Use bright, spring colors as Easter is also the greeting of spring. Decorate with ribbons and bows, embroider with beads, glue toys - whatever your soul or fantasy wishes!

Making a wreath

Master class for a beautiful wreath, made in calm, seasoned colors.

What you need:

Compass;
Sharp scissors;
Glue gun;
A sheet of sturdy cardboard;
Bevechka;
Elements of decoration, here these are Easter stickers;
Ribbons - beads;
Bows.

Manufacturing:

A compass is needed to draw two even circles of different sizes so that a base for a wreath, ready for cutting, comes out.

Next, carefully cut it out with scissors, from the inside too. You will get a cardboard base - on it you should immediately determine the size and shape of the future wreath. It is not necessary to make it traditionally round. Take an oval or heart shape, whatever you like.

With a glue gun, first we fix the edge of the twine (you can replace it with any woolen sewing or even a floss, but the latter will take a lot), then we wrap the whole circle with the thread, adhering tightly so that the gaps are not visible. Attach with glue from time to time as necessary.

You need to wrap the whole circle with such dense, frequent turns. Take the color of the thread so that the decorative elements look more beautiful against its background.

With a glue gun, we fix a tape - a bead to the finished base. You can take several tapes, then glue them together or make a pattern.

By the way, it is convenient to sew decorative elements on top of the thread base. For example, sequins or fancy buttons. Easter stickers are glued here.

Then we fix the bows with the same glue (you can sew them on, just carefully). For stickers, take the silhouettes of angels, symbols and springs. Let them be bright, noticeable, shiny.
By the way, you can wrap the base in several layers with a rope (thread), then the wreath will turn out to be more voluminous).

Braided wreath

A wreath made from willow or other bendable twigs is the most traditional wreath. The ancestors did the wreath just like that, when there was still no cardboard or glue. Wreaths were woven from flowers, so it is customary to decorate modern versions with artificial flowers. Real ones wither quickly, although some even look good when dried.

What you need:

1. Several fresh willow twigs (you can cut from a nearby willow or buy a ready-made braided wreath);
2. Decor elements (figurines of birds, toys, artificial flowers, balls, buttons, ribbons).

How to attach decor to such a wreath? Can be glued with a glue gun or sewn gently by grabbing the outer twigs. Especially if you have chosen soft, toy decorations. They are more securely attached to the sewn ones.

How to change the color if you want to decorate the wreath made of willow twigs better? Spray paint in cans will do. Only it is better to use it outdoors, it does not smell very pleasant and may remain on furniture or the floor. Before decorating, treat the wreath with paint, then leave it to dry for several hours.

What else are wreaths made of?

From fabric (usually cardboard base, but there are soft ones, from felt, for example);
Willow or other twigs;
Wire (base, wrap with cloth or paper on top;
Braided, only rope or something similar is used. First, an ordinary braid is woven, then its edges are connected and the tails are hidden under the decor. In order for such a wreath to retain its shape, it can be hung or reinforced with an additional metal ring from the inside.

A ready-made wreath, made of artificial plants or wire, decorate it additionally with your own materials.

Easter days are kind and bright, and in terms of energy they are not inferior even to Christmas ones. And let a lot of people claim that the tradition of decorating the interior for Easter is borrowed from Europeans, why not adopt someone else's experience if it is so wonderful? Let's not give up the idea of making your home fabulously cozy, but help us with this easter crafts made with your own hands!

The interior wreath carries the mood of the house and its residents. It is often placed over a fireplace or at the head of a bed. This is one of the central compositions that set the tone for the design of the room. In addition, the front door is often decorated with wreaths. And if we are all already accustomed to the tradition of decorating the entrance with a Christmas wreath, then not everyone is making wreaths for Easter. So let this Holy holiday the first to greet guests is an unusually beautiful Easter wreath on the door, made by hand from eggshells and natural materials!

To make such a wreath on your own, you will need materials:

  • cardboard;
  • corrugated paper;
  • newspaper sheets;
  • decorative "cobweb" to match the corrugated paper;
  • sisal;
  • straw;
  • shell of eggs;
  • paints (gouache, acrylic, watercolor);
  • dried flowers (branches, berries, flowers, blades of grass, spikelets);
  • jute rope;
  • small decor (artificial flowers, berries, grass);
  • brush;
  • scissors;
  • pliers (for cutting thick branches);
  • hot glue gun.

Cut a ring out of thick cardboard. Its diameter will roughly correspond to the size of the future wreath.

Roll up a few sheets of newspaper. Using hot glue, attach the resulting tubes around the perimeter of the ring. Thus, the base will acquire the required volume - the wreath will not be flat.

Cut the corrugated paper along the roll into long strips 5-8 cm wide. Gently stretch one edge with your fingers, make cuts with scissors - a fringe.

Cover the blank-ring with a strip of corrugated paper, leaving a fringe outside. Cover the top with a decorative cobweb mesh. Secure with hot glue.

Lightly press the sisal with your hands and wrap the front surface of the wreath with it. No glue is required. Tie several places with straw.

Rinse and dry the eggshells.

Use broken egg shells. This is not only permissible in work, but also looks very original in the end.

Paint the outside and inside of the shell.

It is preferable to use gouache for this procedure, it gives the desired matte shade. But you can use acrylic paints or watercolor.

Paint the edge of several shells in a contrasting color. They will be attached to the wreath with the inside side up.

Hot glue the egg decor around the perimeter of the base. Glue two or three shells upside down. These are the future "vases" for mini-bouquets.

From now on, turn on your imagination and, relying on a sense of proportion and style, decorate the wreath with small decor. The more varieties of it, the better.

Attach dry branches along the outer edge of the wreath. They will not only serve as decoration, but also beautifully "outline" the shape of the accessory.

Place the decor according to the principle: first large, then small. Finally, glue the most graceful blades of grass.

Pass the jute rope through the ring and form a loop so that later the accessory can be hung.

The Easter holiday is approaching, and I really want to prepare for this day not only Easter cakes and dyes, but also somehow warmly, spring-like decorate your home. I offer as festive decor make a very simple decoration yourself - an Easter wreath. Recently, along with Christmas wreaths, Easter wreaths are gaining more and more popularity. This Easter wreath symbolizes eternal life as it has no end or beginning. A round form the wreath represents the sun as a symbol of life on earth.

Easter wreaths can be made from both natural materials and paper. The wreath that I propose to make in this master class is very simple and affordable even for the smallest needlewomen. It takes a maximum of 1 hour of work to make it. Therefore, we prepare materials, stock up positive mood and get to work.

For work we need:

1. White and colored cardboard;
2. Bright colorful pictures or postcards;
3. Egg-shaped cardboard blank;
4. Glue;
5. Glue gun;
6. Scissors;
7. Compasses;
8. Simple pencil;
9. Multicolored satin ribbons.

First, we will make the basis for the future wreath. On a thick sheet of cardboard, using a compass, draw two circles: one large,

and inside it we place a circle a little smaller.

Now we take scissors and cut out the drawing along the outline of the large circle.

Here's a blank should turn out.

The second stage of work will be the creation easter eggs for a wreath. For this purpose, we need a pre-prepared egg template, you can draw it yourself or find it on the Internet, print it on a printer and cut it out. You also need to prepare colored cardboard and several bright pictures. Pictures can be used from anywhere: from magazines, postcards, notebook covers and even from gift bags... To make a bright egg, apply an egg template to the element of the picture you like, circle it simple pencil

and carefully cut out.

For the wreath, we need to prepare 12 eggs: cut 6 eggs from bright colored boxes

and 6 - from ordinary colored cardboard.

I want to draw your attention to one point, if the eggs that you cut out from color pictures are too thin, then you need to stick them on thick cardboard.

When all the eggs are ready, place them on a cardboard base for a wreath. It is best to alternate the egg with the picture with a colored cardboard egg.

To glue all the eggs evenly on the base, I recommend that you first glue the cardboard eggs at the same distance from each other,

and then - stick eggs from color pictures.

Now let's add some decor to our festive wreath. From satin ribbons knit 6 small bows

and using a glue gun, glue them onto eggs made of colored cardboard.

If you plan to hang your wreath on the door in the future, then with back side using a glue gun, glue a satin ribbon loop to it.

So our Easter wreath is ready!

This wonderful DIY wreath will become bright festive decoration as well as a gift with deep meaning. Happy Easter to everyone!

Easter wreaths are not as popular with us as in the West. It is customary there for all holidays, including Easter, to decorate the door with a wreath. Now this piece of interior decor is increasingly found in our homes. Therefore, the question arises of how to make an Easter wreath with your own hands, because it is much more pleasant to show off the beautiful decoration of the house in front of your friends when some elements are made with your own hands.

The rounded shape of the wreath is a symbol of eternity, the sun, which gives life to all life on earth. Easter wreaths must contain the attributes of this holiday: an egg, flowers, vine branches, a nest, angels, rabbits, chickens, etc. And the whole composition must contain elements saturated with bright colors. The classic colors for the Easter wreath are red, white and green. They symbolize the awakening of nature, renewal and fertility. But don't limit yourself to these color standards, use everything bright colours and most importantly, create with love!

It is very easy to make any wreath with your own hands. The main thing is to make a base, which can be intertwined flexible branches, vines, wire, wires, or even simpler - a cardboard, foam or wooden circle. Further, it is only a matter of your imagination and the available decorative materials. Here's an example of how this wreath was whipped up from what was. But it looks very cute and unusual!

I propose to watch the Easter wreath master class for the door, for sure you will like it, and you will be happy to make your own craft for Easter.

For the Easter wreath, you will need the following materials:

The base of the wreath of twigs;

Styrofoam or blown testicles;

Floral napkins;

Soft pastel fabric;

Bright ribbon;

Flowers;

PVA glue;

glue gun.

So, let's start making a wreath:

1. First, let's decoupage the testicles. Cut out the elements from the napkins with which you will decorate the egg: flowers, leaves, curls. Then we take an egg, apply a flower and apply glue with a brush on top. Apply the glue in a thin layer and smooth to avoid unevenness. We do this with all the testicles and set aside until the glue is completely dry.

2. In the meantime, let's get to the main part of the wreath. Cut the fabric into strips. The width of the stripes should be twice the width of the rim of the wreath. Then we fold the strips in half and collect with a needle and thread, as if stringing. And we fix them on the basis of a wreath made of branches. We do this with all the strips. The quantity is determined by the diameter of the wreath.

3. When the wreath is completely sheathed, proceed to the decoration. From a bright ribbon, in our example it is red, we form flowers and sew them onto a wreath.

Also, the testicles have already dried up and now, using a glue gun, we glue them symmetrically to the wreath. In the end, you can also decorate with decorative flowers. We make a loop on the back and all the decoration for the door is ready.
