Craft an owl from natural material with your own hands. Craft owl - the best ideas and DIY options for their implementation (125 photos and videos)

Autumn at the same time pleases us with bright colors and makes us sad when it rains. But it is absolutely certain that it is impossible to remain indifferent when you see how many gifts Autumn brings us. These are fruits, vegetables, and all kinds of seeds. This time, my sons and I were inspired to create crafts. Maple “parachutes”.

The maple has unusually bright beautiful leaves in autumn, but also interesting fruits. They look like turntables, flower petals, and bird feathers. We decided to stop on the birds this time, making owl.

Materials:

  • maple fruit,
  • ash fruits,
  • newspapers,
  • threads,
  • skewer,
  • non-woven fabric,
  • thread for paws or wool for felting,
  • universal glue,
  • wire for the frame,
  • base with a branch.

Progress:
Twist a ball and an oval from an old newspaper, fasten them with threads. In order to connect them, it is most convenient to use a skewer, on which to attach the body and head with glue.

Measure out the wing wire. The length should be such that it is enough for two wings and the width of the body. Insert the wire through the torso. Cut out the base for the wing from the non-woven fabric.

Fold the material and secure with a stapler.

It is necessary to start gluing the wing at the edges, moving gradually towards the middle. Here work can already be done with the child. He will quite cope with the gluing of feathers.

Paste the wings on both sides. It is important to let the first side dry well before you start pasting on the back. Make the second wing in the same way.
For the tail, prepare 4 wires, fix the triangles of non-woven material on them with a stapler.

Glue the tail blanks with maple fruits from bottom to top on both sides.

Glue the tail to the body by making a hole in the newspaper with an awl and inserting a wire coated with glue.
Prepare wire and wool (threads) for the feet. Bend the wire as shown in the photo. Wrap them with thread or wool, stick to the body.

For convenience, turn the owl upside down and continue to paste over the body from the back.

Gradually glue the whole owl. The main thing is not to rush and let each side dry well. Paste over the bird's head in the same way.

Make a nose from a walnut shell, you can tint it with paint. Make eyes from ash seeds in a circle, and you can glue anything in the middle: halves of peppercorns, beans, and any large seeds. In our case, these are seeds of three-prickled hedichia. Glue eyebrows over the eyes. If desired, glasses can be twisted from the wire, but we did not want to.

Attach the finished owl to a branch previously glued to the plywood base.

The owl is ready.

Owls are popular birds. Wise, cute - kids will love them too. Especially if you make unusual owls with your own hands from everything that comes to hand - from pieces of wood, cones, file folders ...

"Owl" panel

You will need:

- background board;
- narrow pieces of bark;
- pine cones of different diameters (2 large, 2 small);
- sanding paper;
- jigsaw;
- colored paper (velvet, cardboard), buttons or eyes, chenille wire (brown, black);
- decorative details (moss, spruce branches, thuja);
- hammer;
- boot nails;
- hot glue gun.

Scrape the back of the bark by removing the soft base.

Place the pieces of bark around the perimeter of the board first to find the best combination. Secure the pieces of bark with nails or hot glue.

Pick up bumps of different diameters - torso and head. Saw off the halves of the cones with a jigsaw and leave only the bottoms. Squeeze the scales lightly to flatten the buds.

Combine a large bling with a small one by interlocking them with scales and hot glue.

Decorate the "face". Put all the parts on hot glue.

Place the owls on the background board. Decorate the frame with moss, thuja branches, spruce to create a forest texture.

If the panel will hang on the wall, you need to fix a loop under the nail on the back of the board.

Owl made of file and leaves

You will need:

- file;
- dry leaves or other "soft" parts of plants;
- colored paper (preferably velvet);
- twine;
- scissors;
- glue gun (or any other glue).

Cut off the part of the file that is intended for the fasteners in the folder. Be sure to leave some of the border to keep the file sealed.

Prepare the details: eyes (a large orange oval and a smaller black one, 2 each), as well as large paws and a beak. Decorate the "face" before you start filling the file. Place your eyes at a height of 2/3 from the bottom.

Stuff the file tightly with dry grass, leaves, hop cones, or whatever soft material is close at hand. Make sure that there are no sharp or hard parts in the material that could tear the file.

When filling the owl, be careful with the cut side - this is the weak point of the craft.

When the file is full, tie the top ends to form the owl's ears. Run the edges of the file on the open side one under the other so that the crown of the owl's head is tightly closed. Glue the paws. Pre-select a place so that the center of gravity falls on them, then the owl will be stable.

If you fill an owl with fragrant medicinal herbs or onion husks and make small holes on the back of the craft (with a hot needle or a hole punch), you get an accessory that is good for your health. The aromatherapy owl can be placed on the baby's desk or near his crib.

Polar owls made of cones and cotton wool

You will need:

- well-dried, open pine cones;
- cotton wool;
- feathers;
- cotton pads;
- colored paper (preferably velvet or cardboard);
- small black buttons;
- a small piece of drape, felt;
- scissors;
- hot glue gun.

Separate the "threads" from the cotton ball and wrap the bump with them. Spread the material evenly so that the tips of the flakes are visible and the depressions are covered with cotton wool.

Use coarse feathers instead of wings. Give them the desired shape and length. Glue with hot glue.

Make the "faces" of the owls from cotton pads. Cut off all unnecessary: round the chin, cut a triangle at the top of the head to make the "ears". Cut the beak out of felt or drape.

Eyes can be made of paper, and buttons can be used instead of pupils. Hot glue the parts together. Instead of ears, also glue feathers, in this case, pointed, thin.

Try the "face" on the bump, then pour glue on the bump and glue a cotton pad. Hold your head until the glue hardens.

Owls made of logs and wooden rounds

You will need:

- a pair of logs with even cuts about 8-12 cm high, about 4.5-5 cm in diameter;
- rounds of different diameters (large about 6.5-7 cm; medium about 4.5 cm; small about 3 cm);
- thin twigs about 6 cm long;
- felt or drape 15 cm long, 3 cm wide;
- pieces of bark about 5 cm wide, about 10 cm long;
- hammer;
- boot nails;
- secateurs;
- white and black gouache, brush;
- PVA glue;
- saw;
- hot glue gun;
- grindstone.

A sharpening stone is needed in order to grind round pieces. The surfaces of the head and eyes should be smooth.

One owl goes:

- 1 log (trunk);
- 1 large round (head);
- 2 medium and 2 small round (eyes);
- a pair of coarse feathers, several thin branches of the same length (ears);
- 1 felt triangle (beak);
- 2 pieces of bark in the form of an oval (wings).

Pre-paint the medium rounds (whites of the eyes) white. To keep the gouache, mix it with PVA glue (in a separate bowl) and apply in a thick layer. Repeat if necessary after drying. It's the same with the pupils. Color the sidewalls of the pupils as well. Dry the parts well, glue with hot glue.

Cut thin branches with pruning shears. Cut off the tips of the feathers so that they split in two so they look like owl ears. On the back of the whites of the eyes, glue feathers, branches, forming owl ears.

Glue the finished eyes to the "face" and place the "face" on the torso. To prevent it from tipping forward, place a thin branch under your chin.

The wings need to be trimmed, giving them the shape of pointed ovals. Scrape the inside of the wings well, removing the soft parts. The wings can be nailed or hot glue. Place them slightly in front.

Owls made of cones and threads

You will need:

- Pine cones;
- thick multi-colored yarn;
- felt or drape;
- feathers;
- halves of walnuts;
- colored paper (velvet, cardboard);
- chenille wire (black, brown);
- small black buttons;
- pumpkin seed (or a piece of cardboard of the same shape);
- scissors;
- hot glue gun.

Wrap coarse wool around the bumps in random order. Try not to let the threads go too deep. Secure the ends of the threads with hot glue.

Cut out a double-sided pointed oval from the felt - the "face" of an owl. Make eyes out of paper, pupils out of buttons. Glue the beak and eyes onto the "face". Secure the ears with glue on the back.

Apply large glue drops to the walnut halves and plant the future wings in the place where the "shoulders" should be.

Glue the paws formed from the wire from the bottom. Chenille wire can be replaced with thin branches.

Paper is a great material for making crafts with kids. This material is affordable, moreover, it lends itself to various processing. Interesting and unusual crafts can be made from paper. For example, today we offer you a master class with a photo about how to create an owl out of paper with your own hands volumetric or 3D. Such voluminous animals even more resemble the original and fit perfectly into the interior. Everyone can make such a craft. The technique for creating this craft is quite simple and very exciting!

To work on a paper owl with your own hands, prepare:

  • medium-weight colored paper;
  • roll of paper towels or toilet paper;
  • scissors;
  • glue stick;
  • gouache or watercolor paints;
  • brush;
  • pencil.

How to make an owl out of paper with your own hands?

So, we create the basis of our owl. To do this, bend the upper part of the sleeve inward as shown in the photo.

We will do the same on the back of the cardboard box.

We push through all the lines well, making them clearer and more even. The result is such a blank of an owl with ears.

Now we paint the cardboard blank with gouache or watercolors.

You can choose the color in which you will paint the part at your discretion. Leave the workpiece for a few minutes so that all paint is completely dry.

In the meantime, the paint dries, we will create the feathers, eyes and beak of the bird. Cut owl feathers from yellow colored paper. Place several pieces of yellow paper together.

On the reverse side of the blanks, we will draw a couple of such circles with a diameter of 1.5-2 cm. Then carefully cut them out along the contour.

We also cut out the eyes of the owl. For the base, we need two large white circles with a diameter of 4 cm.

We create the pupils from colored black paper.

Cut the beak out of brown or burgundy paper.

To create a ponytail, we need yellow oblong blanks.

So, we begin to glue the decor to the base of the craft. First, glue three oblong feathers. We got such a tail.

Then we glue the beak.

Its tip should be in the center of the bottom circle. Cut off excess paper.

To create glare on the eyes, you can use gouache paints or cut out small circles from white paper, and then glue them to the pupils.

You can also decorate the craft with interesting decor. For example, small ladybirds. We glue the little ladybug to the owl's ear.

That's it, a voluminous paper owl is ready!

Now you can decorate a nursery with such an original owl or replenish your paper collection with a new craft. All successful creativity and positive impressions!

Autumn is a wonderful time for walking with a child. Summer heat no longer forces you to hide in the shade of trees and look for cool places, and walks in the parks become not only useful, but also extremely exciting. Admiring the beauty of autumn nature, you and your baby can combine business with pleasure - and breathe in the fresh air, and collect a variety of natural materials for crafts.

- excellent material for all kinds of herbariums and applications. The variety of shapes and colors allows you to give free rein to your imagination and come up with many options for plots. These can be birds, animals, houses, people, and even fabulous creatures. And the developing effect of creativity can be supplemented with teaching moments. So, collecting material for a particular craft, for example, owls from leaves, you can gradually study the name of the trees with your child, learn to identify them by the leaves.

Of course, you need to carefully prepare for making crafts. To do this, the smoothest, cleanest and most beautiful leaves should be selected. Then you need to place them between the pages of a thick book - so that they are aligned and dry. The finished dry leaves will fit well on the surface of the paper or cardboard and adhere to the glue. For the same purposes, you can simply iron the leaves with an iron.

We bring to your attention a few simple ideas on how to make an owl from natural material with your own hands.

Owl made of leaves with your own hands

For crafts we need:

  • cardboard;
  • leaves;
  • simple pencil;
  • blister from pills;
  • black, white and yellow paper;
  • glue;
  • scissors.

Progress:

Applique owl

For the application of an owl, you can take one large sheet for the head and two smaller ones for the ears. Eyes and beak can be made from plasticine.

You can take a maple leaf as a torso. We glue the composition onto the cardboard and the applique is ready.

Little secret: so that the leaves do not crumble and crumble, turning your child's work into trash, before doing anything from them, you should dip them in liquid paraffin and let them dry. The problem has been solved, and applications made from such leaves will look voluminous and more spectacular.

Making toys out of paper is an activity that will never lose its popularity. Paper crafts can be very beautiful and original, and besides, making them is a great way to keep children busy and teach them to be methodical, assiduous and neat. This article will be about how to make an owl out of paper in different ways.

From a cardboard sleeve

The main one for such an owl is a round cardboard cylinder on which all other elements are glued. There is a huge scope for imagination, you can come up with as many finishing options as you like. Let's consider one of them.

We will need:

  • a cardboard cylinder or sleeve that the toilet paper has been wound around;
  • colored paper;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • gouache or watercolor;
  • pencil.

Let's analyze the workflow.

First of all, we process our blank cardboard sleeve. Bend both upper edges inward as shown in the photo to make the "ears". This part of the workpiece must be pressed through and ironed with your fingers so that the base is as neat as possible.

After that, choose the color of the future owl and paint it with gouache or watercolors. The base should dry well.

While the paint dries, we will have time to cut out the eyes, beak and feathers from paper. We choose the paper of the desired color, put several sheets together, draw small circles on the back of the last sheet with a pencil and cut them out - these will be the feathers on the owl's chest.

Cut out a small triangular beak from brown or burgundy paper.

We make feathers in the form of "tongues" of paper of the same color as for the chest feathers-circles. These feathers are suitable for the tail of an owl.

Now you can start gluing the base with all decorative elements. We do this in the order shown in the photo:

The paper owl is ready, but you can show your imagination further, for example, decorating the owl's head with a bow, a bug, etc.

Origami paper owl

Let's consider two methods - classic origami (from one sheet) and modular origami (from many small paper blanks).

Classic origami

We take a square, cut out of colored paper, and bend it along both diagonals with the colored side inward, and then straighten it. Turn the heading over and fold it crosswise, but now there should be a white part inside. Then, having worked with the pre-planned folds, we bring the model to this form. The top three corners need to be placed on the bottom one (for more information on how to do this, see the video below). The "wings" of the triangles must be folded and unfolded. We bend the top of the workpiece and unfold it again.

Further - the task is more difficult. You need to open the top of the workpiece, squeezing from the sides, and do the same on the back side to get a rhombus (this process is shown in more detail in the video). The front and back are folded with the valves facing down. And we reduce the upper corners to the axis. Pulling out the part from the middle and pressing it down, we make a wing, then the same way - another. And fold the top. The owl using the classic origami technique is ready.

Modular origami

This method of making an owl out of paper is more complicated, but the result is very beautiful and unusual.

As mentioned above, when working in the modular origami technique, a craft is formed from many pre-made small parts - modules. This is another way to make a paper owl three-dimensional, and not flat, as it happens when working in the classic origami technique.

First, let's prepare the modules. For their manufacture, the following scheme is used:

  1. A small piece of colored paper is taken and folded in half lengthwise and then across;
  2. The workpiece is straightened, the right and left parts are folded to the resulting fold line;
  3. The figure turns over. The bottom edges are folded so that an even triangle is obtained;
  4. The triangle folds in half. The module is ready.
