We draw eyelashes, a simple pencil. How to draw eyelashes and eyes

The eyes are the mirror of the human soul. They can tell about the age, occupation, character of their owner. It is through the eyes that we build in our minds the image of the person depicted in the portrait.

Components of the eye.

I have compiled a fairly simple list of the constituent elements of the human eye.

1. Third eyelid (a small tubercle in the inner corner of the eye).
2. The edge of the upper eyelid is the movable part of the skin that protects the eyeball.
3. Glare.
4. Upper eyelashes - thin hairs that grow from the outer edge of the upper eyelid.
5. Outer corner - the place where the edges of the outer upper and lower eyelids meet.
6. The white of the eye is the visible part of the eyeball.
7. Iris - the round part of the eyeball surrounding the pupil, the iris.
8. The pupil is a dark round shape within the iris.
9. The edge of the lower eyelid is part of the fold of skin that protects the lower part of the eyeball.
10. Lower eyelashes - thin hairs that grow from the outer edges of the lower eyelid.

HOW NOT TO DRAW EYELASHES
The bottom picture shows unnatural looking eyelashes, their size and thickness at the root are the same as at the tip. These thick, curved lines look nothing like natural lashes.

Below you can see the natural shape of the lashes - they are thick at the root and thin at the tip.

Below you can see the main mistakes when drawing eyelashes - they are either too thick, or too straight, or too long.

CORRECTLY DRAWN EYELASHES
Flexible smooth lines make eyelashes more natural and realistic. There is quite a simple technique drawing them correctly.

Take paper and pencil (2B). Look at the following image, try to draw the same eyelashes.
1. Start at the base (root) of the eyelash and at the same time press harder on your pencil.
2. Gradually reduce the pressure on the pencil, and your smooth, slightly curved line will become thinner compared to what it was at the root.
Realistic lashes look like inverted commas - thick at the bottom and thin at the top.
3. Slowly and lightly lift your pencil off the paper as you complete the line.

Below you can see four images of eyes with eyelashes of different lengths, which are presented from different angles.

DRAWING EYELASHES ON THE EYE
In the early stages of drawing, try to apply very light lines, so that they can be erased later. The image below shows you drawings that are darker than they really are. The lines have been darkened with Photoshop so you can see them better.

1) Lightly sketch the shape of the eye.
The double line at the top and bottom shows the thickness of the skin at the edges of the upper and lower eyelids.

Don't forget to draw round shape inner corner of the eye.
If your sketch is too dark, carefully go over the lines with an eraser.

2) Use a 2H pencil to draw some lashes on the outer edges of the upper and lower eyelids.

3) Add some dark lashes various lengths(with pencil 2B) at the outer corner of the eye.

4) Use a 2B pencil to draw some more thick lines. Eyelashes will now be very thick.

5) Outline the iris, pupil and highlight. The light source is on the left.

Drawing a realistic, regular circle requires practice on your part. Try rotating the paper and looking at your drawing from different angles. This little trick often leads to an understanding of problem areas when drawing. Look at the reflection in the mirror of your iris, this will help you figure out how to draw it correctly.

6) Darken a little iris and pupil. Use a 2B pencil for shading the iris and a 6B pencil for the pupil. Note that the iris is darker around the perimeter (i.e. its edge) and under the upper eyelid, which casts a shadow on it; several small dark lines seem to come out of the pupil.

7) Shade the white of the eye, especially near the edge of the upper and lower eyelids towards the inner corner. Draw some thin, light lines on the protein in the area of the inner corner, imitating small blood vessels - capillaries.

Drawing eyelashes is a fairly common practice of retouching portraits and by no means always female ones. Few people are satisfied with the "pig" eyes intently, or God forbid languidly, looking from the picture. And therefore eyelash drawing, the process that a novice retoucher needs to master is not difficult, a little perseverance and patience is all that is needed to master this simple technique.

As an example for the demonstration, I chose a portrait of a girl in which it became necessary to add a little eyelashes to the eye already processed according to the method shown.

Adjusting the Eyelash Drawing Tool

This method of drawing eyelashes requires some technical equipment, namely, the presence of a graphic tablet, at least the simplest one. For drawing with the mouse is quite problematic.

If you look closely at the picture above, it is easy to see that the existing eyelashes have different thickness and color for qualitative imitation, we must take this fact into account. Therefore, in the course of work, it is necessary to change both the color with which it draws and the size of the brush.

Eyelashes are quite thin, therefore, color samples need to be taken small, for this you need to set up the Eyedropper tool for taking such samples. I select it on the toolbar, press I, on the options bar I set the sample size as one point.

On the layers panel, you need to create a new empty layer for experimenting with the brush settings. Now you need to adjust the brush - it's easy to make a few of them. Call the brush properties panel, F5 key.

On the shape and size tab, select a regular round brush, set the values for the “Headers” hardness to 100%, the dispersion “Spasing” -1%, we will change the size as we work, however, it is convenient to set the initial one along the nearby eyelashes of the area with which we will work.

On the “Shape Dynamics” tab in the control list, select “Fade” Fade, knock out the minimum diameter arbitrarily, continuously experimenting on the created empty layer. It seemed to me 39% just right. As a result of the settings, the shape of the imprint in the viewing window became similar to a spermatozoon.

The setup is over, you can go directly to drawing.

eyelash drawing

So, with the help of a leaf, I will erase the traces of the brush settings from the layer, and I will adapt it for drawing the lower eyelashes. Taking a color sample and adjusting the size of the brush with short strokes, I start painting. Read about how to change the color and size of the tool while working. As a result, I got this row of eyelashes, shown on a separate layer.

If you look at the picture again, you can see that real eyelashes fell into different focus areas and blurred differently. It's easy to imitate. Using the tool, select the area of freshly drawn eyelashes.

Go to the filter menu, select Gaussian blur, adjust the blur radius, “grow” the drawn eyelashes to the desired area, adjusting their appearance to existing ones.

We perform the same operation with the remaining eyelashes of the lower row, choosing a different filter blur radius. By the way, you don't have to constantly drag around the menu to call the dialog of the filter used, use the Alt + Ctrl + F combination. As a result, the bottom row of painted eyelashes looks quite believable.

With the bottom row finished, you can move on to the top one. The technology is the same: create an empty layer, change the color and size of the tool with short movements, draw eyelashes, if necessary, select areas and blur them with different radii. If it is inconvenient to draw from the bottom up, you can temporarily rotate the picture as you like, the R key, the Rotate View tool, works great.

You can see the result of drawing eyelashes about the general retouching of this picture in my portfolio at 500px. I hope this method of processing will find application in your practice.

I get a ton of questions about human appearance. Do you want to know how to draw eyelashes? Yes, please, I will make another lesson on this topic! We will draw from this picture, but before that I will definitely write something funny.
Eyelashes - they are hair, only on the eyes. They are the main center of perception of intuition, female logic, higher mathematics and world conspiracy. Through blinking, a person breaks information flows in the air, thereby perceiving some information immediately into the brain, without careful processing. It is at such moments that sudden brilliant or simply stupid ideas arise, for example, how to ride in a garbage truck down the street, become an astronaut, or throw money at gypsies. Since the brain requires constant activity and work, when the eyes are closed, the flow of information stops and the person falls asleep. Yes, it's a joke, I got you =)

If you are homo sapien (and most likely you are, if you can read this), then you should know:

  • Large and long eyelashes improve perception. But at the same time, due to the large weight, it will be difficult for you to look at the world with your own eyes;
  • The Grimm brothers (not the ones who wrote nightmares, but a group like that) are firmly convinced that you can fly with the help of eyelashes if you actively clap them;
  • The uniqueness of the subject is confirmed by the fact that they grow only in mammals, period;
  • The record holders for the length of hair, of course, are the inhabitants of India, and this time Phuto Rav Mauli stood out, whose eyelashes are 4.7 cm long. He certainly knows how to take off;
  • On average, a human being has 200 hairs there, do not believe it - count it.

And now that we know the whole truth, we can start drawing.

How to draw eyelashes with a pencil step by step

Step one. Drawing eyelashes without an eye is unrealistic, so draw an appropriate round shape to represent the eye.
Step two. We draw the eyelids and the outline of the eyebrows.
Step three. Carefully draw the eye socket and pupil.
Step four. Now carefully and clearly draw the eye itself with the necessary transitions and shadows.
Step five. Now you can draw eyelashes in thick lines, each hair separately.
I hope I can expand your horizons, and you can easily draw eyelashes with a pencil. Write me your ideas and wishes for future lessons on the order page. And also try to draw:

  1. Eyes;
  2. female face;
  3. We draw a human hand;
  4. Wrist;
  5. Face with a beard;

How to draw eyelashes: step by step and beautifully with a pencil

The eyes are the window to the soul, as the old saying goes. And eyelashes are protection and decoration of this mirror. Be that as it may, an expressive look at the photo, or in the picture, definitely attracts the attention of any viewer. In life, almost all women make a lot of efforts in order to learn how to beautifully draw their own eyebrows, eyelashes and arrows.

Drawing - the eyes of a girlArtists give a lot of their skill so that in their pictures it is plausible, and it is the eyes drawn in pencil that stand out as favorably as possible. Today, using the capabilities of Photoshop Sai, you can perfectly draw not only eyelashes, but anything.

Draw eyelashes step by step

Such a small detail as eyelashes can play a big role in the image as a whole. That is why it is necessary to correctly and carefully draw each hair, and each part of the eye in stages. It is impossible to draw eyelashes beautifully either with a pencil or in Sai Photoshop without first drawing the eye itself. Therefore, you need to know all its parts well, and correctly depict them in accordance with the desired proportions. So, to draw eyelashes with a pencil in stages, we start with a sketch of the shape of the eye.

  • The type of almond is closest to the shape of the eye. Draw double lines at the top and bottom, depicting the edges of the eyelids.

  • In the inner corner of the eye, be sure to draw a circle, the so-called third eyelid.
  • Inside, beautifully draw an iris and a pupil with a pencil.

  • Don't forget about the glare of light that should show up in the pupil. This will make your picture more natural and natural.

  • Next, on the outer edges of the eyelids, eyelashes should be drawn. Remember, on the upper eyelid their length is always greater than on the lower one.
  • Darken the iris and pupil in stages with a pencil. The upper eyelid should cast a shadow that needs to be displayed on the iris.

  • Next, you should slightly darken the eyeball. Thin curved lines drawn in the inner corner of the eye will plausibly represent the vessels.

Before you start drawing beautiful eyelashes and arrows, give enough strength and attention to the eye itself. Only a phased depiction of all the components will make your drawing believable.

How beautiful to draw eyelashes

When drawing a person's eyes, many people make quite common, and therefore very gross, mistakes. Eyelashes cannot all be the same length and thickness, they are neither too thick nor too long. Only their natural image makes the picture beautiful. And no matter where you draw, on paper with a pencil, or in Sai Photoshop, use the subtleties below, and your drawing will be perfect.

  1. The lash lines look like inverted commas. They have a wider base at the bottom of the eyelid, and gradually become thinner towards the top.
  2. Eyelashes are never even, depict them a little curved.
  3. The length of the hairs in the inner corner of the eye is always less than in the outer one.
  4. The density of eyelashes, most often gradually increases towards the outer edge.
  5. Always draw thin and thick hairs mixed. This can be varied by pressing harder on the pencil.
  6. Several hairs on the lower and upper eyelids should be depicted growing in a different direction. Such a stroke will make the sketch look natural.

Note! In Sai, the eye is depicted in stages with different layers. Unnecessary and incorrect strokes are blurred in a convenient way.

Drawing eyelashes with a pencil is easier than it seems at first glance. You should only apply the above tips, as well as use the desired parameters. You should not strive for perfection in everything, since the human body is also not perfect. Soft, but confident strokes will help to make the drawing of high quality.

How to draw eyelashes? | We draw eyelashes in stages in Photoshop cs6, cs5

Eyelashes protect our eyes from dust getting into them. Hair on different parts of the body has its own function, which is why they differ. The eyelashes are the toughest, the scalp the longest. The average lifespan of eyelashes is three months, after which they are replaced with new ones.

Eyelash renewal happens gradually, so we don't see how it happens. The density of the upper and lower lash line is not the same, the top line is thicker and longer. The color, density, slope and length of eyelashes are formed even before birth, but with certain care and cosmetics, this can be corrected.

Here I will show you how to draw eyelashes correctly or you can draw eyelashes in Photoshop: cs6 and cs5 with a simple pencil.

We draw eyelashes in stages:

Step one. We make a large circle with a pencil and a small circle in it, then a curved line on the left.

Step two. We draw the first steps of the eye.

Step three. We sketch a little with strokes and draw a highlight on the eyeball.

Step four. We remove the frame that was at the beginning, draw eyelashes and eyebrows.

How to draw eyelashes in Photoshop

In this tutorial, we will learn how to draw eyelashes in Photoshop. Sometimes in a photo a model needs to add some eyelashes to make the eyes look more expressive. But this must be done carefully so that the cilia look natural. You can see the end result of the tutorial below:

So, let's get to work and open the original photo in Photoshop, then create a new layer CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N:

Now activate the Brush tool and select black, round, hard with a small diameter, then go into the brush settings F5 and set the Shape Dynamics in the Control - Transition line and select the Minimum diameter so that the brush has a pointed shape.

Now, with quick jerky movements, draw the cilia along the growth of the eyelashes in those places where there are few of them. If you turn off the Background layer, then you can see only the drawn cilia on an empty layer:

And this is what the photo looks like with additional cilia:

To make the eyelashes look more real, apply the Add Noise filter and the Gaussian Blur filter to the eyelashes layer:

Now let's add a small arrow in the corner of the eye, to do this, go to the Background layer, then create a new empty layer and activate the Pen tool, then put the first point on the eyelid, somewhere closer to the center of the eyelid, and put the second point on the outer corner of the eye, then, without releasing the left mouse button, drag the guide from the second point so that the outline bends and lies along the line of the eyelid.

Then, holding down the ALT key, click on the second point, after which the guide tendril will disappear - this is necessary in order to put the next point and so that the tendril does not interfere with the creation of a new path:

Now let's put the third point where the arrow will end and bend the contour a little in the same way as described above:

Now let's make a stroke of the path and for this we first go to the Brush tool, adjust the brush. Select a round, hard, small diameter brush and then call its settings F5 and in the Shape Dynamics set the Pen pressure:

Now again go to the Pen tool and in the Paths window, right-click on the blue strip and select Stroke Path in the drop-down box, where we set Simulate pen pressure:

Now apply the Add Noise and Gaussian Blur filter to the layer:

Draw eyes

The eyes are wonderful! I love drawing them the most. The whole drawing can be just a background for one eye! In the pictures below, you can see the eyes as just shapes. The eye is made up of more elements than any other part of the face. To make it easier for you to understand what elements the eye consists of, I have numbered them.

See how this eye looks at you from an angle? Because it's rotated, you see a large area of protein to the left of the iris and almost nothing to the right. See the thickness of the lower eyelid under the iris? Please note that the lower eyelashes do not grow from the line of the eye, but lower.

Note. Note that the highlight is located half on the pupil and half on the iris. No matter how many highlights you see in a photo, your drawing will look best if you depict only one highlight in each eye and place it that way. This is the only time I insist on cheating, when you should draw something other than what you see. (Artist's right!)

How to draw eyebrows and eyelashes

The line on the left looks hard and straight. The line on the right is softer and more curved. It is drawn with a quick movement of the hand. To make the line thinner towards the end, you need to wave your wrist.

Eyebrows can be wide and narrow, thick and sparse. First, just apply the shape.

Start drawing hairs. Follow the original in which direction they grow and move the pencil accordingly.

Continue painting the hairs until they start to blend in and then use feathering.

Still finish the hairs, giving them the desired blackness.

To soften the tone somewhat, take a little plastic eraser, roll up a small ball and “remove” part of the hair with the same quick movements. It is this final touch that gives the drawing credibility.

Never paint over your eyebrows with bold pencil lines.

These lines are fine. They are curved, becoming thinner towards the end, more like real hairs.

This is better, but the lines still look sharp and too straight.

Eyelashes should also not be drawn with hard lines. These lines are too hard and straight.

The lines are drawn correctly, but the eyelashes do not grow singly, as shown here.

Eyelashes grow in approximately such groups. See which direction they bend.

Never draw the eye contour with such bottom lashes.

This is how the lower lashes should be drawn. They grow from the lower edge of the thickness of the lower eyelid, and they are shorter than the upper eyelashes. See how some of them are longer than others? The lower eyelashes also grow in bushes.

Draw an eye step by step

Redraw this eye onto the lined paper.

You need to not just see the eye as a combination of shapes, you need to see the shapes that are in each cell. This is where the circle pattern comes into play. The pupil and iris are ideal circles by nature. The underestimation of this is the reason for the implausibility of many depictions of people.

Erase the grid. Freehand with a thin line, outline the circles in the eye. Then refine these lines with a circle template. If you are drawing two eyes, both should be drawn using the same template. The highlight should be placed half on the pupil and half on the iris. Start drawing the eyebrow with a pencil and blacken the pupil.

Apply some dark (#1) tone around the outer edge of the iris and around the pupil. Blend your brow.

Blend the iris to a penumbra #3. Don't forget the highlight!

Lighten up the iris a bit with a plastic eraser to make it look shiny and increase the highlight.

Paint over the lashes with tones #1 and #2. (Above the iris, the tone is slightly lighter.)

Final touches! Apply some tone above the eye. Slightly blend the white of the eye to give it volume. Lighten your brow a little. V this case eyelashes are almost not shown - only those that go to the sides.

How to draw eyes right (and wrong!)

Below are some guidelines to keep in mind when drawing both eyes together.
  • The distance between the eyes is equal to the width of one eye.
  • Draw lines from the inner corners of the eyes and you will get the width of the nose. (This is a general rule, not always applicable to all races.)
  • Draw lines from the centers of the eyes and you will reach the corners of the mouth (without smiling, of course).
  • The eyes are located in the middle of the head! Don't draw them too high. The distance from the eyes to the chin is equal to their distance to the top of the head.
  • And here's what not to do when drawing eyes.

  • Don't line your eyes.
  • Do not apply lashes in hard and straight lines.
  • Do not scribble in all directions, shading the eyebrows. Follow the forms!
  • Do not draw the pupil and iris freehand. Use a template.
  • Don't forget about the glare (there are none in these eyes).
  • Don't let your eyes look in different directions.
  • Avoid rough and uneven shading. Do not forget about the smoothness and gradualness of tonal transitions.
  • eye study

Men's eyes are easy to distinguish from women's. Eyebrows in men are usually wider and located closer to the eyes. See how they hang over the eyelids? In addition, eyelashes are not so noticeable.

Women's eyebrows are usually more arched. Eyelashes appear longer and darker.

Eyes can tell a lot about a person: about his race...

    feelings...

    age...

    beauty...

See how deeply sunken the eyes are when viewed from this angle. The bridge of the nose does not allow you to see the second eye. The iris no longer looks round, but as a circle in perspective, i.e. like an ellipse.

When the eye looks sideways, more of the protein's surface is visible on one side.

Site how to learn to draw

    paintmaster.com

And also, it is advisable to first study another lesson -.

We look at the structure of the eye in the picture below.

Eyelashes should be thick at the root and thin at the tips.

How not to draw eyelashes, see below.

Draw the outline of the eye with light lines. Then draw eyelashes with a 2H pencil. Each eyelash looks like a comma, only upside down. Draw from the contour of the eye while reducing the pressure on the pencil by bending the line, the line will become thinner. With a light movement of the brush, tear off the pencil from the paper when you finish drawing the eyelash.

With a 2B pencil, draw more eyelashes so that they are thick. draw the outline of the iris, pupil and highlight.

Draw the pupil with a 6B pencil. With a 2B pencil, draw the iris of the eye. For this we use . Please note that the top of the eye area is darker than the bottom, the sides are also darkened. Eraser to create a light area on the bottom, then draw a few lines to create texture.

Using crosshatching create gradient transitions on the white of the eye, while the edges and up of the white should be darkened. Hatch the edges of the upper and lower eyelids, closer to the outer corner of the eye, the tone transition becomes darker. Draw some thin lines to create the blood vessels.

I get a ton of questions about human appearance. Do you want to know how to draw eyelashes? Yes, please, I will make another lesson on this topic! We will draw from this picture, but before that I will definitely write something funny. Eyelashes - they are hair, only on the eyes.
