Master class "Chrysanthemums". Quilling Applique

Budilova Galina Evgenievna, preschool department teacher of secondary school №821.

Master Class intended for older children and preparatory groups kindergarten, kindergarten teachers, teachers additional education and parents.

Purpose of work: making a gift, crafts for an exhibition, interior decoration, a visual aid for classes.

Target: making a volumetric applique.

Tasks: development fine motor skills; consolidation of skills to work with scissors, paper, glue; development creativity, training in various techniques of working with paper; consolidation of the ability to work according to verbal instructions; learn to create voluminous compositions; to develop aesthetic feelings, attention, artistic taste, the desire to make something pleasant for loved ones.

Materials:
- cardboard,
- colored paper,
- a simple pencil,
- ruler,
- glue,
- scissors,

Quilling tool,
- strips for quilling.

We start by making a flowerpot. We make a template.
We take a sheet of paper 12x13 cm in size, fold it in half. Along the top line 6 cm, set aside 4 cm from the bottom, connect the upper and lower points, cut out the resulting quadrangle. The template is ready.

For durability, we glue the template onto the cardboard and cut it out.

Choosing colored paper for the flowerpot. We turn the paper over seamy side... We draw a rectangle measuring 17x20 cm, this is the basis for vases

We fold the base with the colored side inward, line it into strips 1 cm wide.

We hold the base by the fold, cut along the marked lines with scissors, leaving 1 cm from the edge.

Now we take colored paper of a different color, draw it from the back side into strips 1 cm wide and cut

We intertwine the base with strips. We insert the strip into the slot of the base, drag the strip over the strip of the base, and then under the strip of the base. We begin to drag the next row under the base strip, and then over the base strip. The rows alternate. Cut off the protruding ends and glue them.

We put the flowerpot template on the back side of the base so that there are allowances on all sides. We cut off the excess.

Glue the left allowances.

Let's start making flowers. Flowers can be made in any color.
We take colored paper, on back side we draw strips 5 cm wide, we draw strips along the long side, the longer the strip, the more magnificent the flower will be. We cut the sheet into strips.

Cut the strip on one side, leaving 0.5 cm from the edge.

Now we twist a tight roll from the quilling strip, without removing it from the quilling tool, wind a 5 cm wide strip, periodically gluing it, glue the end of the strip. We straighten the flower and twist the edges a little.

We make three identical flowers.

We glue the flowerpot and flowers.

We start making decorative elements. To do this, we take quilling strips, twist tight rolls, then take other strips and twist them on one side of the strip, on both sides of the strip inward, in different directions, then fold the strip so that one end is longer than the other and twist the ends to one side ...

We decorate the picture with these decorative elements. The arrangement of the elements can be different, according to your wishes.
This is the picture we got.

August 15 is a memorable day in my life - this is the first working day. I decided to give myself a gift to my beloved. Now you can also admire it.

Today, exactly 22 years of my teaching activity as a primary school teacher.

That is why in my composition there is a bell, a symbol of school life. I made it from 16 strips by folding it "in a pile", twisted it and carefully squeezed it out, smeared it with glue from the inside. A bell "tongue" of -2 strips. Bow - upper parts of 12 stripes, and lower parts of 6.

I also chose chrysanthemums for my composition not by chance. According to Chinese Feng Shui, chrysanthemums bring health and longevity to the house. This is not devoid of a scientific basis - even a bouquet of chrysanthemums has a beneficial effect on indoor air quality. A bouquet of chrysanthemums has a symbolic meaning and expresses wishes of loyalty, optimism, joy and long life (Information from the Internet). I am faithful to my favorite profession and school, I have not betrayed them a day, and I am also full of optimism and joy that my beloved students give me.

Right side of the composition.

On a yellow backing.

On the green triangles, they remained after cutting the oval out of green velvet paper (trimming for business, do not waste the good!)

In the rays of the sun!

MK in the form of TC.
To make one chrysanthemum, I took: a green and yellow strip 1 cm wide, 30 cm long, cut it with a fringe and two strips white 2cm wide and 30cm long, cut it with a "fence". How to get them at once I showed 8 pieces in astrochets, only we cut off the fold of 5 mm so that the width remains 2 cm. Then we twist everything in order. to the center, and when the second - from the center.

Today we will talk about postcards.

Card(originally open letter) - a special kind postcard for an open letter (without envelope).

On front side The postcard has any full-size (occupying the entire area) image, and its reverse part is intended for writing a message and addresses of the recipient and sender, as well as for sticking a postage stamp. The postcard may not be postal. In this case, there is no postage stamp on it and no space is provided for the address; it's just a letter-sized card made of heavy paper or cardboard.

The first postcard was issued in Austria-Hungary. On October 1, 1869, a "correspondent card" appeared in the postal circulation of this country with an imprinted stamp in denominations of two cruciers. During Franco-Prussian War 1870-1871 in the warring armies of France and Germany, the idea was also born to provide the card with illustrations. Some of the soldiers began to accompany the postcards sent to their relatives with drawings. This idea was quickly accepted by businessmen. According to the French version, the first illustrated postcard (postcard) was issued by the bookseller Leon Benardo from Brittany, according to the German - by the bookseller A. Schwartz from Oldenburg.

The first Russian specialized periodical about postcards appeared in pre-revolutionary Russia in 1904. It was an illustrated postcard chronicle "Open letter"... The publishing house of the Community of St. Eugenia has issued a total of about 7000 types of art postcards.

The start was successful and the idea of the postcard quickly spread throughout the rest of the countries. In 1871, post offices of England, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands began to publish them, in 1872 - Sweden, Norway, Ceylon, in 1873 - France, Spain, Romania, Serbia, Chile, in 1874 - Italy. In Russia, the postcard was published in 1872, the first Soviet postcards date back to November 1917. In 1878 on World Postal Congress in Paris, the international standard of a postcard was adopted: 9 × 14 cm, which was changed in 1925 to another - 10.5 × 14.8 cm.Originally, its reverse side was intended for an address (there was no special place for writing), since 1904 it the left half is reserved for a short letter.

Usually postcards are used for birthday greetings or other memorable dates.

But today, in the age of computer technology, the postcard has lost its relevance a little, now they send more either SMS or virtual postcards. But a postcard is a great way to convey all those warm and tender words, which are so necessary for our mothers on the brightest day - their birthday, March 8 or other holidays! Of particular value for mom, of course, will be a postcard made with your own hands and only for her! It doesn't matter if she is beautiful or a little awkward, but still you put your soul into her and this is especially valuable for our mothers and grandmothers.
It is not at all difficult to make such a congratulation, especially since we have been doing quilling for several years now, and it will not be difficult for you to make such a postcard and please yourself loved one!

Flowers will always remain a relevant gift for any occasion. Chrysanthemums made of paper using the quilling technique are very simple to perform. You can easily repeat this master class and enjoy the result. Such a bouquet can be an excellent gift for March 8, your birthday, and if made on a card in the form of a heart, you can also give it on Valentine's Day. You can give it to your mother, grandmother, sister, and girlfriend, or you can keep it for yourself.

How to make postcards:

1. To make paper chrysanthemums and roses, you need colored paper of three or more colors: pick up paper different shades, for example red - pink, blue - light blue, etc. Separately need a sheet of paper suitable color for the middle of flowers, such as brown or orange

2. For work we need: a tape of paper 3 cm wide. - 9 pcs. and 0.5cm. - 3 pcs.

3. Fold strips of the same width together and with scissors cut a fringe along one edge, without bringing the cut to the opposite edge, leaving 5-7mm

4. From a brown or orange sheet of paper, cut strips 5-7mm thick, use a toothpick to twist each strip into a tight circle, glue the end of the strip

5. First, glue one strip to the flower center, and glue the end. Stick the strips only end-to-end, otherwise you will get an ugly paper transition. After the first strip, glue the next one, twist and glue its end and then the third strip.

6.Using a toothpick, bend the flower petals outward, not all at once, but in turn, layer by layer, then the flower will look voluminous. With the same toothpick, bend the ends of the petals of only the middle part into the flower

7. Flowers are ready, you need to make leaves for them. On cardboard, draw a leaf shaped like a rose leaf. Cut out the template, attach it to a sheet of light green colored paper and circle it with a pencil or felt-tip pen. The number of leaves depends only on your desire. Cut the leaves, fold each in half and cut a fringe around the edge, unfold

8. To decorate the postcard, spirals of colored paper were used, to make them you need to cut a strip of paper as thin as possible and cut the ends obliquely, then twist each piece with a toothpick

9. From colored paper of a different color, cut out the tags with curly scissors, cut out the congratulatory inscription with the same scissors

10. Fold thick colored cardboard in half, glue fringed flowers - chrysanthemums in the form of a rosette in the lower left corner, add two leaves

11. Carefully glue the paper spirals under the chrysanthemums, glue tags with a congratulatory inscription in the free space.

Our postcard is ready, but you can still decorate it to your taste.

In our lesson today, you and I not only repeated all the skills that we had acquired during our previous lessons, but also learned to complicate what we did, so if earlier we wound one layer of fringe, today we made a flower of three stripes and the flower turned out to be more magnificent and more beautiful. This concludes our lesson, thank you all for your participation.

Today we will talk about postcards. The postcard is a great way to convey all those warm and tender words that are so necessary for our mothers on the brightest day - their birthday!
Of particular value for mom, of course, will be a postcard made with your own hands and only for her! It is not at all difficult to make such a congratulation, even if you have never done quilling, it will not be difficult for you to make such a card and please your closest person!

Flowers made using the quilling technique can become beautiful and an original gift... Of course, no paper bouquet can be compared with fresh flowers, but the skill and feelings invested in the craft will be appreciated.

Chrysanthemum is the national flower of Japan, symbolizing longevity and happiness. Many women love bouquets of these flowers: chrysanthemums look gentle, graceful and modest.

There are two ways to make chrysanthemums quilling. Flowers and leaves are made of paper either voluminous or in the form of loops. Moreover, bouquets can be in any style and in different variations. The master class offers several ideas for creating a chrysanthemum bouquet, which will be of interest to both beginners and more experienced and inspiration-seeking craftsmen.

Two-dimensional or flat compositions are made in the traditional way for quilling - by twisting narrow paper strips. Separately, petals are made and glued into corollas of chrysanthemums, which are glued to each other for splendor. The middle of the flower can be decorated with both eyelets and paper pom-poms. The main thing is to first understand the principle step by step, and then you can fantasize and create works of authorship yourself.

For an "airy" composition of quilling chrysanthemums, such as in the photo, you will need the following materials and tools:

  • strips of colored paper 2.5 mm wide and 30 cm long;
  • PVA glue;
  • cardboard or thick paper for the base;
  • quilling tools (awl, tweezers, ruler);
  • metal comb with teeth at a distance of 2.5-4 mm.

In this example, cyan, blue, yellow colors and two shades Green colour... You can choose other colors - white, pink, orange, but it is best that the middle contrasts with the chrysanthemum petals using the quilling technique.

A comb (better for animals) is needed to create neat elongated loops. If there is no such tool, the details are made traditionally: the strips are wound on an awl, and then pressed on both sides with fingers and fixed.

Job description: for convenience, in order to understand how many details are needed, sketch the future composition on cardboard: draw the lines of chrysanthemum flowers, leaves, vases. Glue blue and blue quilling elements into one. Fasten the tip between the teeth of the comb and start winding in 5 mm increments (about 2 teeth), make 6 turns. Remove the resulting chrysanthemum petal from the comb, and glue the tip. Make 9 such quilling petals for one row and 9 (slightly smaller) for the second.

From a paper circle, make a cone for the core of the chrysanthemum. Glue the petals to the cone in a circle in two rows.

Wind the yellow strip in a semicircle around the teeth, bend it in the middle and glue it to the center of the rim. Make chrysanthemum leaves like petals.

Make sepals from curled paper and collect the entire quilling composition.

Alternative: make petals according to the basic shape "arrow" or "leaf" and glue to the cone. Make the core of a chrysanthemum quilling from a strip of paper cut across, wound on an awl.

How to make a volumetric panel

Bulky flowers are made both from stripes and according to patterns. Despite the "real" and "complex" appearance of such flowers, it is quite simple to create compositions from them with your own hands. Bouquets can be made in the form of a picture, a postcard, a panel or individual flowers put together.

A simple MK for creating voluminous flowers will appeal to beginners to master quilling. The presented instruction will outline the basic principle of operation step by step. You will need the following materials and tools:

  • yellow, cream, white paper;
  • scissors;
  • quilling awl and tweezers;
  • a sheet of thin cardboard or thick paper;
  • PVA glue.

If you plan to create a panel or postcard, it is recommended to make a sketch of the future composition in order to understand what and in what quantity are needed details.

How to make: from paper, for example, bright yellow, cut the beveled strips: from one edge 1.5 cm wide, from the other - 0.5 cm. Fold the strip and make transverse cuts (about 2-3 mm wide). Unfold the strip and twist with an awl, starting from the narrow side.

Glue the tip and straighten the chrysanthemum petals using the quilling technique. Take paper of a different color and cut into strips 2 cm wide on one side and 2.5 cm on the other. Cut a strip (point 2), making the future chrysanthemum petals wider (about 5 mm) and pointed. Wrap the chrysanthemum quilling blank from point 4 in the resulting strip, glue the tip.

Spread the petals.

Other similar options: twist a 0.5 mm wide strip into a tight spiral, secure the tip, and then wrap the resulting core in a notched strip. Make a fringe out of paper and twist (a flower without a core).

You can also use multiple color stripes of different widths. They need to be glued together, as shown in the diagram below:

Template option: cut corollas of different sizes from colored paper. Roll the edges of the petals with your hands or process with a tool.

What kind of flowers are not made by the master of quilling. Daisies, roses, tulips ... Different flowers, different techniques quilling. In this workshop we will show you one of the techniques. With its help, you can make very beautiful paper chrysanthemums. Once you have made one flower, you will want to make more and more. As a result, there will be a whole bouquet in a vase! To make flowers you will need:

  • quilling paper;
  • paper curling tool;
  • glue;
  • wire;
  • green paper;
  • tweezers;
  • corrugated paper.

Follow the pictures and you will succeed. This is perhaps the simplest quilling.

Let's prepare four types of strips of different lengths. We will make a bud from these strips. The longest stripes are the outer petals of the flower, the shortest are the inner ones. We bend the strips as shown in the figure.

Twist the ends of the strips. We have got blanks for quilling. Then we take two long petals and fasten them crosswise with glue. Then add the next petals of the flower overlaying them on top of the previous ones.

When the first circle of the large petal flower is complete, take the shorter strips and continue gluing them to the center of the flower. Repeat the same procedure with all the petals.

After the flower is completely filled, take a pair of tweezers and bend the inner petals towards the center so that there is no empty space in the middle of the flower. Now the flower bud should be connected to the leg and, for realism, add a leaf. We attach the floral wire to the flower bud from below. Cut out a leaf from green paper. We give it realism. To do this, we push the groove in the center and slightly bend the sheet.

After that, wrap the stem with green paper. In order for the paper to adhere well to the stem, secure it with glue. Attach a leaf at a distance of 5-7 centimeters from the flower.

That's all! Our flower, made using the quilling technique, is ready! You can use this technique both for volumetric quilling and for various pictures and postcards.
