Hello everyone!

Boys and girls, as well as their parents, ShkolaLa invites you to the creative workshop again! Let's let our pens enjoy the creative process and find out how a charming hedgehog is made from a pine cone and plasticine. Yes, not one, but a whole team! And then we'll send them for a walk.

Let's start by preparing everything you need.

We need:

  1. Pine cones (fir cones are also suitable, but pine hedgehogs will make more prickly ones).
  2. Ordinary plasticine.

We previously washed and dried our bumps, and then, using a stiff brush, covered them with acrylic varnish. But this is not necessary at all. It's just that when the buds are paid, they look prettier.

How to make a hedgehog's face? Very simple. Take a small piece of plasticine and mold the cone, and then slightly lift the tip of the cone (future nose) up. Then glue the muzzle to the blunt end of the bump.

And this photo shows how to make legs. Just roll up two small, identical sausages and stick them where the hedgehog will have a tummy.

From the same plasticine as the muzzle, mold two small cakes. These will be ears. Attach them to the hedgehog's head. The eyes and nose can be made from beads, pieces of cardboard or buckwheat. We used black peppercorns for these purposes.

The hedgehog is ready! Side view. One word: "Handsome !!!"

It's sad to live alone. Therefore, we made friends for our hedgehog. It turned out to be a whole team!

As you know, hedgehogs are hardworking people. They carry something on their pins and needles all the time. And ours are worse? The craft was supplemented with mushrooms and apples. It became more fun right away! And to us, and to thorny forest dwellers.

Since autumn, birch twigs have been lying on the balcony. We found them in the park and decided to take them home. We thought: "They will suddenly come in handy." So they came in handy) These are knots for us, and real logs for hedgehogs!

We connect the sticks to each other. We tie them with a white woolen thread.

We decorate the logs with leaves, spikelets, rowan berries. At the same time, we hide the threads with which we tied them.

We send our thorny team for a walk! We put on logs. And you're done!

It's not a shame to take such a craft to school when you need to build something from natural material.

We hope you enjoy our master class. And you, too, will try to make these wonderful animals. The main thing is to do everything step by step and then you will definitely succeed!

2. To make a hedgehog with your own hands as natural as possible, with light-colored plasticine (beige, for example), close up that part of the bottle that will be the muzzle, that is, from the lid to the wide part. Cover the body of the future hedgehog with dark plasticine (for example, brown).

3. Now we imitate needles with the help of cones. Carefully stick some plasticine onto the base of the cone. And then attach it to the plastic bottle where the torso is. So make several cone rows. Attach the cones only on top and on the sides, leave the bottom empty, so the craft will stand steadily.

4. The hedgehog from the cones is almost ready. It remains to finalize the muzzle. Make eyes out of plasticine. You can make plasticine berries, which you can put in needles. To complete the composition, take a tray, make a bedding out of the leaves on it and place the newly created hedgehog on it.

Be sure to read the article on what you can do with your own hands. Work miracles with the whole family, share this article with your friends in a couple of clicks, give high marks and write below in the comments, what did you end up with?

Follow step by step instructions, and you will get such a funny hedgehog from cones and a plastic bottle. In the presence of prepared materials, the whole work takes 15-20 minutes.

For crafts, you will need the following materials:

  • Cones;
  • Plastic bottle, preferably brown;
  • Glue or heat gun;
  • Brown gouache or plasticine;
  • Ready moving eyes, brush;
  • Leaves, rowan berries for decoration, double-sided or regular tape for attaching them.

To work with cones and plastic, you definitely need a glue gun. No glue is suitable for this purpose. I tried super glue and glue moment - the bumps don't stick at all. After all, their surface is bumpy, often uneven, sometimes only a small area of the cone comes into contact with the plastic and ordinary glue does not hold it. Therefore, it is better to spend a little money, and purchase at least a small thermal gun, thanks to which you can make any crafts with cones, plastic, the most different materials... Everything is fastened with lightning speed and thoroughly.

Hedgehog made of cones and a plastic bottle step by step

Preparing buds

After the buds are collected, they need to be processed. Wash them thoroughly in warm water and soak in a 1: 1 solution of vinegar and water. Dry the buds. This is if they have already been revealed. If the buds are closed, you can skip the vinegar treatment, you can only wash them thoroughly in sufficiently hot water. And then take the following measures:

  • Boil for 15 minutes;
  • Bake for 1 hour in the oven;
  • Microwave.

In due time I tried every method. But I only liked the one where the buds are placed in the microwave. When boiling, a lot of steam, odor is released, the pan hopelessly deteriorates. In the oven - too long and there is a risk of over-roasting the cones. But in the microwave - just perfect. I covered a plate with paper towels, put the bumps in it and turned it on for one minute. After that, I opened the door, let off steam, turned over the bumps and turned on the microwave again for 1 minute. It took quite a lot of such minutes - about 7-10 minutes for the bumps to open completely. But still it is much faster than fiddling with an oven and a saucepan.

How to make a bottle hedgehog and cones?

All the basic and auxiliary materials are ready, it's time to start action. Prepare the cutest cones of the same size, which will be in the first row, that is, closer to the hedgehog's face. Take a bump and attach it to the bottle to see where it will come into contact with it, because in that area you will need to apply glue. Turn on the glue gun, wait 5 minutes, then apply a little glue to the barrel of the bump and quickly press it against the top of the bottle. Glue the entire first row around the hedgehog's face in the same way.

In the same way, do the second row, tightly pressing the cones to each other and picking up relatively identical in size and shape.

Place cones over the entire bottle. Here it is no longer necessary to glue it on the side, and it will not work, most often the cones are further located in a straight position.

Side view.

Bumped back of a plastic bottle.

The main work is ready, now the most interesting one is giving the appearance of a hedgehog.

We have a hedgehog with my daughter. Therefore, we glued her eyes with cilia. Eyes can be made from plasticine or paper. We painted over the lid with gouache, but it could still be covered with brown plasticine.

And on the side of the cones, rowan berries and several leaves were attached to double-sided tape. The craft is quite durable, it can later be glued to a board or foam.

A hedgehog made of cones and a plastic bottle is ready, or rather a hedgehog. And it's not scary that her nose is too big, she is still a beauty and fashionista.

Childhood is a period when it is especially beneficial to develop fine motor skills hands. This is achieved through educational games or interesting crafts. If you live near a forest or park, you can walk along it with your child, collect cones, leaves and twigs to make something original at home. For example, a handicraft made of hedgehog cones.
