Learn to make a beautiful do-it-yourself brooch-bow from satin ribbons

As a warm-up and to get a feel for the satin ribbons at work, try this simple accessory that will take you a little material and no more than five minutes.

For work you will need:

  • base for a brooch or pin;
  • two ribbons of any color with a width of 1 and 3 centimeters;
  • threads to match;
  • needle;
  • scissors;
  • candle or lighter.

First, cut 6 centimeters from a tape with a larger width, and 1.5 from a tape with a smaller one. Be sure to singe the ends of the ribbons so they don't fall off.

Next, you need to get the actual bow itself. This is simply done in the following way. The wide band is folded in half to define the middle. Then it is put face down, and the tips are tucked towards the center, overlapping one another. The base of the bow is fastened with several stitches, which should run along the intended center. The thread is tightened and secured. Note that the looser you tighten the thread, the flatter the bow will be.

Use a narrow ribbon to accentuate the center of the bow, and thereby mask the previous seam. Tape the ends of the tape neatly at the back with thread.

It remains only to attach a brooch base or an ordinary pin to the product - and a simple and unusual accessory is ready.

Using the method described above, you can make single-layer bows or add various elements to the accessory, thereby adding volume or the necessary color elements.

The bow can be used as an independent removable brooch or made several copies and used as a set of jewelry. This decor looks great on children's clothing. Bows can be complemented by decorating the center with beads, rhinestones or buttons.

Brooch made in kanzashi technique.

First, let's figure out what "kanzashi" is. From the name it is clear that the history of this name is associated with Japan, and it denotes the traditional women's hairstyle jewelry.

The kanzashi technique is based on the manufacture of all kinds of objects from small fabric parts in the form of petals. Despite the fact that different shapes can be made using this technique, flowers are the main shape.

As a result, elements made in the kanzashi style are attached to hairpins, elastic bands, hairpins, combs, headbands and other decorations. Special attention is given to brooches made in the kanzashi style. Consider a simple master class for making the accessory shown in the photo.

Necessary materials:

  • Scissors
  • White satin ribbon up to 2.5 cm wide
  • Pink satin ribbon 5 cm
  • Brooch base or pin
  • Needle and thread
  • Candle or lighter
  • Small pink beads

To make a stylish flower brooch using the kanzashi technique, you first need to prepare 10 squares from a wide ribbon. These will be the petals of our brooch. To prevent shedding, the cut is scorched over the fire. Next, the squares are folded diagonally to make triangles.

The thread is threaded through the needle and secured with a small knot at the end. On triangles on both sides, the cuts are aligned and stitched. The seam should be even, with the same stitch sizes and distances between them, retreating from the edge about 2 millimeters. The seam is neatly tightened to form a voluminous blank for the petal with beautiful uniform folds. Then the thread is secured and cut.

In the same way, you need to get 10 beautiful petals from the prepared satin squares.

To make the flower more voluminous, place the petals in two layers. To do this, we glue the first five elements in such a way that they form a circle, and the bases of the petals are located as tightly as possible. The remaining blanks are glued from above in a crosswise manner.

From the tape white 4 strips 11 centimeters long are prepared - this will be the base of the flower. The tape is folded in half in such a way that the edges are combined, but the central crease does not work out. The workpieces are glued in pairs with a slight offset.

The base of a white ribbon is attached to the resulting flower from the seamy side, like leaves.

The brooch is almost ready, it remains only to sew on the fastener and decorate the core of the flower. To do this, glue is poured into the center and covered with beads. It is necessary to let the glue dry a little, then turn the brooch over and shake it gently to get rid of the non-glued beads.

Actually, the unique accessory is ready. If, instead of a base for a brooch, you attach, for example, an elastic band, you will get a very cute decoration for a young fashionista. A product in the kanzashi style can be used to decorate a room, for example, add it to a pillow, a lampshade or make an unusual curtain holder.

A selection of simple and useful tutorials is presented below.

At one time, the founder of the fashion house, Coco Chanel, highlighted a list of jewelry that a true woman should wear. It included a ring, watch, bracelet and brooch. Unfortunately, the brooch is less popular today than other accessories. This is most likely due to the fact that many girls do not know how to wear it. In this article, we decided to tell you how to make an original brooch from ribbon that will transform any summer t-shirt.

Materials:
- satin ribbon;
- lace;
- felt circle;
- pin;
- scissors;
sewing machine;
- threads.

1. For the manufacture of this decoration, you will need ribbons of two colors: one for the lower part, and the other for the upper part. Cut the tape for the bottom layer into 8 equal pieces, the length of which depends on the width of the original tape. Keep in mind that the wider the ribbon, the more voluminous the brooch will turn out, but for this you will need to increase the length of the segments.

2. All segments will be folded in half.
3. Take two line segments folded in half and lay perpendicular to one another.
4. Sew a small stitch diagonally.

5. Repeat step 4 for the remaining six pieces of tape.
6. Now take two blanks and fold them in the shape of a cross. Repeat the same with the remaining blanks.

7. Put the crosses from item 6 on top of each other so that you get 8 petals. Sew in the center.
8. Now you can start making the top layer of the brooch. To do this, take a ribbon of a different color and a slightly smaller width.
9. Attach the tape to the petal of the finished bottom layer and measure the required lengths for the top layer of the brooch.
10. Cut 8 identical pieces of ribbon for the top layer of the brooch.
11. Fold each section in half, shape it (you can fold it) and sew at the bottom.

12. Sew all 8 petals to the base of the brooch obtained in step 7.
13. Get a lace ribbon that will match the color of the brooch. If the lace is very wide, it must be folded in half, and if, on the contrary, it is narrow, then sew it.
14. It is best to sew the lace at the base by hand, so that later you can pull off the thread and form a circle. If you want to sew on a typewriter, choose the widest tie width.

15. After you have stitched the edge of the ribbon, pull the thread and sew the side section of the lace.
16. Sew the lace circle to the brooch with two layers of ribbons.
17. Sew as many pearl beads into the center as possible.

18. It remains to fasten the clasp. For this to seamy side brooches need to sew a circle of felt. Glue a pin or a purchased brooch fastener to it.

DIY ribbon brooch is ready! Now, even in a T-shirt or T-shirt, you will look stylish.

The kanzashi technique has long been very popular with needlewomen. Since with her assistance, you can create jewelry from ribbons with your own hands. Wonderful kanzashi earrings, brooch made of ribbons, kanzashi necklace, as well as a belt for a dress and other adornments using the kanzashi technique. Such attributes from ribbons, recreated with your own hands, will not remain unnoticed by others, on you.

The article offers more than one master class (mk), which will consist of phased photos, as well as video tutorials. This information for beginners will help you take the initial steps in kanzashi jewelry. Their creation will be made from rep or satin ribbons, easily applicable in this matter.

Primary ribbon jewelry will be presented in the form of a ribbon brooch. Before starting work, let's see what tools and materials you need to have on hand in order for the work and the brooch to turn out the way the master class recommends. Prepare this list:

  • white and emerald satin ribbon;
  • fabric glue;
  • lighter fire;
  • pointed scissors;
  • needle and thread;
  • do-it-yourself stamens;
  • decoration in the form of decor.

Initially, the master class recommends starting work on a brooch, a light ribbon. Cut it into 5 by 5 cm squares. The required number of them is approximately 18 pieces. In those places where the cut of matter took place, we pour over with fire. Take one element and fold it obliquely, and then again. After doing such manipulations, you should have such a thing as shown in the photo.

The bottom of this craft needs to be assembled on a string. Just be careful in this matter, you need to try to capture all the tiers. Pull it all together and secure with a thread. Based on such schemes, try with your own hands to recreate in addition 18 similar petals, which will become the basis for the brooch.

A master class (mk) on making a brooch follows. Use textile glue and glue all the petals together, do it yourself, minor overlaps. The photo shows how to do it more correctly.

In a real master class (mk), there will be three tiers of petals, and three will remain.

Tie the stamens made with your own hands and glue them together. Leave them to dry completely and move on to work on the bud. Glue the petals together and attach the stamens, as shown in the photo. After that, you will have only one petal and a stamen.

Bend the petal located on the left side to the core and glue it with your own hands. Do similar actions with the other petal, on the right side. Don't forget to glue the stamens. Look at the photo, you should have the same bud. It will probably seem to you that he is not too beautiful, but this is exclusively at first sight, then, you will give him a wonderful look with your own hands.

Now, following the scheme, we cut off the ribbon with a length of one and a half centimeters in scale and dissolve one side of it. Take this element and wrap the stamens in it.

Glue one blank, which consists of five petals, until a flower is formed.
Stamen bunches, anoint with glue and put them in the middle of the craft. Following these rules, create two more such flowers with your own hands.

Now, the next step is to invent foliage. You can use a template in this business, or you can try to recreate it by eye. We cut off two corners from a square workpiece. Burn the edges with a lighter and stretch a little. At the conclusion of such an event, wavy leaves are required to form. We smooth them in half and iron them with a warm iron. You will see how the veined foliage will turn out. You can create them all over the sheet. In order to make jewelry from satin ribbons, you will need five identical sheets.

Prepare an emerald ribbon, 1 inch wide. Fold it twice. The smooth side of the rep or satin ribbons is on the inside. Forming an angle of 45 degrees, cut off a small piece and pour over it with fire. A leaf is formed, which is shown in the photo. We turn this element inside out, and put it on the glue, into it a bud.

Use lace to decorate foliage. Cut out these halves and glue them to the foliage. There should be 3 of them. It remains only to connect the flowers with the buds.

We pass to the final stage of ribbon decoration, namely a brooch, which is designed for beginner lovers of needlework. Cut the body out of the cardboard. Cover it with ribbons and connect them using a flame of fire.

Also, an iron base is glued to the shadow side. Above, a piece of tape is attached, bend its edges and fasten on the wrong side. Add foliage to your liking. The last thing to do is to decorate the brooch with various decorative details.

Such an entertaining master class (mk) has come to an end, a brooch made of ribbons, created by hand, is absolutely ready for further decoration of the one who will wear it. The final touch is to fix the brooch with hairspray.

Red flowers in a necklace

The next master class (mk) will teach you how to invent with your own hands an amazing kanzashi necklace designed to embellish the neck.

The fittings that are useful for its execution are listed below:

  • rep or scarlet ribbons;
  • thin nylon braids;
  • glue gun;
  • candle;
  • microsoldering iron;
  • iron fasteners.

The first stage begins with cutting the ribbons into square shapes. They will need such a number: three scarlet pieces and eight elements, 5 by 5 and 2.5 by 2.5 cm in size, respectively, as well as eight light elements and 9 golden squares.

The basic element will be a pointed flower, large enough with punctures. A video of the creation of such petals can be viewed on the Internet.

We make six circles, of which 2 are scarlet and 4 will be white.

Nineteen handicrafts of golden material are glued into the same number of large red petals. The same procedures are carried out with other workpieces.
The primary flower consists of 8 pointed blanks of a given color, as in the photo, and the rest are from those colors that are also presented.

Make a braid with your own hands, which will play the role of supporting the blanks on the neck. In this case, nylon or satin ribbons that communicate with each other. One of them is slightly shorter than the neighboring one. Singe the long braid, and make the edge pointed. This action will make it possible to put on the limit switch without any problems. Attach the metal hardware and you're done. So, you can decorate your neck, with a beautiful necklace, in the kanzashi style.

Take do-it-yourself sharp elements connected together to form a flower and glue the scarlet ones in the center of the braid. Attach those that remain from the sides. Cover the gluing points with satin circles.

Glue the last petals to a large blank, and then decorate with a beautiful decor, of your choice. Check out the photo that shows the end result of a striking kanzashi necklace in such a wonderful style around the neck.

Belt with roses

Real fashionistas will really like the presented master class, which will help to recreate with their own hands an elegant belt for any clothes, in the style of kanzashi. This stylish accessory, decorated with different flowers formed from rep, as well as satin ribbons, organza and satin. The rose that adorns the belt will take its place in the center of the kanzashi product. So, get the following material:

  • gray ribbons, 2 meters in size;
  • another ribbon of a similar color, but only on a narrow scale;
  • organza of a similar shade;
  • pastel ribbons;
  • thread with a needle;
  • sharp scissors;
  • a piece of felt;
  • decor;
  • guipure cord.

The rose will become the main decoration of such an accessory for beginners as a belt. You will need three ribbons, 50cm long. Tie the ends into a knot and darn with a thread. From felt, we cut out circles, with a caliber of 4.5 cm, and make holes in the center. Pull the strips inward. Twist the ribbons until a flower such as a rose is formed. Hemline, sew through felt. The edges of the tapes are secured from the inside out. The secondary rose is created in a similar way as the primary one.

The next stage of this lesson is aimed at inventing another kanzashi flower for a belt. Prepare fourteen blanks, similar to squares, with a volume of 5 cm. Create a knot on the thread and insert it into the needle. The part is folded obliquely to form a triangle. Fold the edges, and then fold the fabric in half, so that the central part turns out in triangles, this process is shown in the photo. Pierce all the tiers that are not processed with a needle. After that, sew a stitch from the face and secure it with several seams. All other work that is required to decorate the belt is done in a similar manner.

Cut the petals below the seam, sew them together, and then pull them off. The second flower is created in a similar way.

A master class for beginners, which teaches how to create a belt, is still ongoing. We cut out 27 squares from organza, gray, in order to recreate 3 flowers with our own hands. Each element will consist of 9 blanks. Sew the crafts to the gray ribbon, working from the center of the ribbon. We sew on all the other details and decorate the belt with any beautiful decorative details of your choice. The rose must be adorned with a white pearl.

At the end of the work, a wonderful accessory is obtained, which is referred to as a belt with kanzashi flowers. He will be able to decorate any item from your wardrobe.

A similar video for beginners can be viewed on the Internet. From it you will learn how other belts are made from rep ribbons, as well as kanzashi hair ornaments, different shapes and other decorations from satin ribbons.

For beginners, we recommend choosing master classes that will facilitate the first steps in a technique such as kanzashi. They are easy to do with your own hands, and the steps with step by step photos will teach you how to do the job without mistakes. Do not be discouraged if it does not work out the first time, the main thing is your desire and aspiration. And then, you will have such a piece of jewelry that will become a wonderful accessory.

Video: Decoration in the kanzashi technique

Although we women do not need a special reason to look beautiful, nevertheless, we can dress up for the upcoming holidays (February 14 and 23 and, of course, March 8). We will make a very delicate brooch with our own hands from satin ribbons, lace and beads!

From the materials you will need the following:

  • satin ribbons of 2 colors of arbitrary width (it is better to take wide ones)
  • lace matching with ribbons
  • beads of 2 colors (beads of different sizes look more impressive)
  • a small piece of felt for back side brooches
  • clip for a brooch (a safety pin will do)
  • needle
  • threads to match
  • scissors

The brooch will consist of 2 layers of satin ribbons and lace. Having estimated the approximate size of the brooch, measure from the tape, which will serve as the bottom layer, 8 segments of the same length.

The wider the ribbon, the longer the segments should be, the longer the segments, the larger and more magnificent the brooch will turn out.

Fold 2 pieces of tape in half and overlap each other perpendicularly. Then we sew a machine line at an angle of 45 degrees.

As a result, out of 8 pieces of tape, you should get 4 such blanks:

We get 2 blanks in the form of a cross:

Again we put one workpiece on top of another, while shifting them relative to each other as shown in the photo. Sew crosswise in the middle.

The bottom layer of the brooch is ready. Let's start with the 2nd layer. To do this, take a tape of a contrasting color and apply it to the resulting petals of the first layer. You need to decide whether the second layer will significantly overlap the first or only slightly.

Having measured the desired length, we measure out 8 identical segments. Then, on each segment, we form a neat fold, so as to obtain a beautiful petal as a result:

The fold will add extra volume to the petals (and brooches in general).

It's time to use lace.

If you take a wide lace ribbon as a base, then fold it in half along the long side. And if you are using a narrow one, then just do 2 folds of the tape.

Sew the lace ribbon along the bottom with a needle forward seam, and then pull the thread together, forming a circle.

You can also use a machine stitch along the bottom, but then choose the longest stitch so that the stitch can be pulled off easily.

Gently sew the ends of the lace together and sew to the workpiece made of satin ribbons.

Let's start decorating the brooch with our own hands. To do this, take the beads and sew them in random order to the very center.

The more beads, the more voluminous and more interesting the middle of the flower will turn out:

And the last step is attaching the clasp. One of the most popular and simple ways- use a small circle of felt, on which you need to fasten the brooch fastener. If not, sew a safety pin on the back.

After that, we sew a circle of felt to the back of the brooch.

Good afternoon friends!

Today I will show you how you can make a brooch with your own hands - a rose from satin ribbons and lace.

The work itself is not very difficult, but the rose brooch turns out to be very interesting.

I will not show you how to collect the rose itself, because process, I have already described in detail. A master class on how to make a rose from ribbons can be viewed

Brooch - a rose, I was asked to make a certain outfit: the color of the dress - two shades of pink, beads and earrings - white pearls.

From this I also repelled. I decided to make the rose the same way as the dress in two shades of pink. I picked the colors as in the photo below. Judging by the shade table color pink, I have - warm pink and fuchsia.

But hereinafter, I will call it simply - light pink and dark pink.

And further. Since the customer was planning to wear pearl jewelry, I also decided to add white beads on a fishing line to the brooch.

And so, let's get started:

Brooch - rose from satin ribbons and lace

For work I needed:

Materials:

  1. Satin ribbon (dark pink) - 0.5 m, width. 4 cm.
  2. Satin ribbon (light pink) - 1 m, width. 5 cm.
  3. Bow (light pink) - 0.4 m, width. 9 cm.
  4. Lace - 0.6 m.
  5. Beads on a fishing line (white).
  6. Hot glue rhinestones (small).

Instruments:

  1. Hot glue gun.
  2. Soldering iron (can be a burner).
  3. Iron.
  4. Monofilament (thin thread-line).
  5. Simple pink threads.

I want to say right away that I did not use tapes of different widths on purpose. Just in the store, the ribbons of the color I needed were only that wide.

For the rose itself, I needed 9 strips of light pink ribbon, 11 cm each. And 5 strips of dark pink ribbon, 10 cm each.

First, I collected the petals from a dark pink color, as in the photo below. 4th petals and 1 rose heart.
Let me remind you that you can see how to collect a rose

Then, I collected 4 more petals from a light ribbon (no photo).

And she began to collect the rose, alternating between dark and light petals.

The remaining 5 light petals, I wanted to make with a border around the edge. For the border, I used an organza bow with a light wavy edging.

I put 2 satin ribbons side by side, with a gap of 1-2 mm. between them. And on top, she covered them with a bow, as in the photo below.

Attached a metal ruler to one end. I pressed it down and ran it with a well-heated soldering iron. Thus, I cut off exactly the edge and soldered the ribbons and the bow together.

I did exactly the same on the other side.

Then, I walked with a soldering iron along the bottom of both strips, soldering a bow to them.

As a result, I got these double stripes.

In the same way, I made three more strips. In total, I got 5 of them.

From double strips, I collected petals. It turned out for me, as in the photo below.

And with these petals I finished collecting the rose.

In the end, I got it, this is a rose.

Now, I took the beads on the fishing line and decided how they would be located on the rose. Cut into segments.

And with the help of a hot glue gun, I glued these beads to the rose.

Here's what happened.

I decided to place the rose on a lace rosette.

Gathered lace around the edge with monofilament and rolled into a circle. And she measured out how much lace I need.

My lace has a repeating, wavy pattern. On both sides, I cut the lace so that when the edges overlap, the pattern would be preserved.

Sewed lace, closing the circle. And I got such a socket.

Using a hot glue gun, I glued the rose to the outlet.

So that the rosette did not lie completely flat, but rose a little, I sewed it to the rose a centimeter from the base. The photo below is shown by arrows.

And since my customer, in itself, is very bright and not ordinary, I decided to add small rhinestones.

To do this, I turned over the iron. To keep it tight and even, I clamped it in a vice. She covered the sole of the iron with foil and laid out the rhinestones, glue side up. She turned on the iron and waited for 5-7 minutes.

When the iron warmed up, the glue on the rhinestones also began to warm up. Then I pried each rhinestone with a toothpick, applied it to the lace and immediately pressed it.

Brooch - rose from satin ribbons

So that the brooch could be attached to the dress, I sewed a decorative base for the brooch on the back side. But, beforehand, of course, I glued a circle of double satin ribbon to the outlet.
