How to make origami paper star step by step. Volumetric origami star

Stars at all times were considered something magical, mysterious and beautiful. They light the way and show the direction. Someone is lucky to be born under a lucky star. Some people rush to make a wish when they see a shooting star, others like to just look at them at night in clear weather. All people on Earth are familiar with this symbol. Maybe that's why many people want to make their own star of happiness, because she is so beautiful. Now we will try to make a star of happiness out of plain paper.

For work we need a strip of paper and a little time. In our case, the size will be 1x23 cm. Of course, you can take a strip of any size, but the ratio of length to width should remain the same every time 1:23. To find out what size an asterisk will turn out from any strip of paper, you need to multiply its width by 1.67. For example, from a sheet of A4 paper, taking into account the 1x23 ratio, it is convenient to cut strips 1.2x27.6 cm in size.Of such strips, you can make an asterisk 2 cm in size.

And so, we begin to add the asterisk. Turning the end of the paper strip around the index finger, tie a knot. You need to tighten it and press in such a way that you get a small figure of an equilateral pentagon.

You need to try so that after tying the knot, a very small end of the strip remains. If this cannot be done, it is better to cut it off or bend it back.

Next, we begin to wrap our pentagonal star in a circle with the long end of the strip, bending it each time along the line of the edge of the figure. With each fold, the strip will itself fall on the next edge on which it needs to be bent.

After 10 such bends, a short piece of the strip should remain. It can be hidden in a nearby "pocket". The result should be a pentagonal flat shape.

Now you need to try to make the figure three-dimensional. To do this, each edge needs to be lightly pressed inward with your fingers, while pulling the corners at the same time. Since the asterisk is very small, you need to be very careful so as not to accidentally spoil it.

If you did everything right, then your star of happiness should be like this.

Do not be discouraged if something went wrong with you and the asterisk did not work the first time. Try to start over and for sure, this time you will succeed! And when you learn how to do them, it will seem to you that nothing is easier.

In addition, the stars of happiness are a very elegant accessory for your home.
Stars are everywhere with us A star is always relevant: on New Year's Eve it can be seen at the top of the tree, a star from the sky can be obtained for your beloved for the Day
Valentine's Day, the stars are strongly associated with the Day of Defenders
Fatherland. They also say that when a new person is born, in heaven
a new star lights up, why not light up a little star in honor of
a newborn on a postcard (and present it to happy parents)? Star
can be guiding, give to people going on a trip,
a star to illuminate their path and be lucky.
The stars accompany us all our lives. Do you know how to make stars with your own hands?

What will we do

To make such stars, you can use special paper:

But my goal was to dispose of unnecessary waste paper in the form
old glossy magazines. So I cut the magazines into strips.
The size of the strips is 29x1.1cm. You can cut the strips wider, but then the length
should be more. I tried to choose pages where the brighter
paint and less text, but I think that from black and white stripes too
you get the original stars.

Running a little ahead, I will say that the stage of cutting strips is the most difficult in making stars. If you have a cutter or shredder,
slitting paper into longitudinal stripes is just great.
Then this stage is much easier and faster. At my fingertips
these tools were not there, so I first cut the strips
scissors, which is very time consuming and not very neat. And then me
it dawned on me that you can simplify the process if you use a ruler and
a clerical knife ... And it went much faster.

How will we do

1) Take a strip of paper and make a loop.
2) Then we wrap up a short tail, making a knot.
3) We tighten and press the knot very carefully. You should get an equilateral pentagon.

4) Wrap the tail on the opposite side. I did it on purpose
the tail is slightly longer, so that the photo would show where we wrapped it.
But it is better to try to make it shorter so that it does not look behind
the limits of the pentagon.

5) Next, turn the product over.
6) If the tip is longer than the resulting pentagon and looks out of it, turn the tail a little.
7) We hide the tail inside the pentagon.

8-17) And now we begin to wrap a long strip of a pentagon with
on all sides, trying not to press down on him too much. Total should
get at least 10 wraps, i.e. each face must be wrapped around
twice. This should be taken into account if you change the thickness and length.
stripes. With a width of 1.1 cm and a length of 29 cm, the star turns out to be 1.5 cm.

18) We hide the tip under the strip. If it looks out, we tuck it a little, and then hide it.

19) Now is the most crucial moment! It is at this stage that I have
it turned out to be a marriage. We hold the pentagon with two fingers of one hand, and with a fingernail
with the other hand, we press on one face of the pentagon, trying to get into
the middle of the face. Do the same with the rest of the edges.
20) That's it! Our star of happiness is ready!

I want to warn you: the first time, the star may not work. I have from
the first ten stars were four defective. But then, when
got the hang of it, everything went like clockwork. And so this occupation fascinated me!
I cut the stripes in advance, and twisted the stars anywhere: TV
I look and twist, I sit at the computer, wait for the page to load and
I twist, and even on the playground my daughter plays in the sandbox, and I
I sit on the bench and twist the stars.

You can watch the video clip here >>>>> The star of happiness. Origami

So far I have clocked 250 of them, but I think that I will not stop there.

Application From these stars you can make an original gift, for example, for Valentine's Day:
You can decorate the interior of the room by pouring stars into the jar:

And my little daughter really liked these stars. She is their
squeezes flat. This is great for developing fine motor skills of the hands. Yes
and it's just very interesting to play with them, fingering. Can
come up with a lot of games with such stars. For example, teach
colors, putting each color in different jars. Or suggest a number
stars are the same color, and one star is different. And suggest to find
"black sheep". Or add a rainbow out of them ... In general, there may be ideas
weight.

What other stars can you make out of paper? These little stars are a great material for creating gifts, for interior decoration. But there are still many variations of stars that can be made from paper.

Wicker star

As a rule, the older a person becomes, the more nostalgia he begins to remember his childhood years. For many adults today, this time is permeated with Soviet symbols, among which red stars can be noted.

In this master class, I will show several options for how to make a paper star with your own hands with step by step photos. Such a five-pointed symbol may still be relevant now. For example, a red star is perfect as or for decorating a New Year's interior. It is not difficult to make it out of paper, focusing on the proposed master classes.

01. DIY paper star

To create a volumetric star, we need to prepare:

  • red paper;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • ruler;
  • PVA glue.

First, cut out 5 squares of the same size from red paper.

Our blanks have a side of 9 cm.

After that, you can start adding each square. First, make a diagonal fold.

Then we unfold the square blank. Bend the right side to the middle.

A similar fold should be made on the left side.

Now we need to make folds at the top of our workpiece. First, fold over the right side.

After that, we make a fold on the left side. Our blank has taken on the shape of a rhombus.

Fold it in half.

The top layer needs to be bent to the side.

In this case, it is worth paying attention to the fact that on the back side the apex of the triangle coincides with the fold line.

Expand the workpiece slightly.

Smooth the fold lines.

Now we begin to spread one of the rays of the future star.

We carefully straighten its inner layer.

Now we give the blank the following look. We have got an element consisting of one whole ray and a half.

We need to make 4 more such blanks.

You can start assembling the star, and this will require glue. We put it on one half of the beam.

After that, we insert one element into another.

This is how we connected 2 modules.

We glue the rest of the elements in a similar way. Our volumetric paper star is ready.

02. How to make a star using modular origami technique

The modular origami technique allows you to create three-dimensional figures using the same elements. In our master class, the phased production of a star from several modules is presented.

To work, you need 10 square sheets of paper. We took the red notes.

We start by making one module. For him we need two sheets. First, we bend them along two diagonals. Now the same sheets of paper should be bent in the transverse directions, but in the other direction.

From one we fold the blank in the form of a double square.

From another sheet of paper with pre-marked folds, fold the blank in the form of a double triangle.

Now insert the triangle inside the square.

Bend the protruding ends from the square inward. First, we do it from two opposite sides.

Then we unfold the module blank and bend the protruding corners again. So we got one of the modules.

We need to make 4 more such modules for the future star. Let's start connecting the modules. They will be attached to each other due to the corners protruding on the sides.

Two corners of one workpiece should be inserted under the folds of the other from the inside.

The corners of another module are inserted from the outside under the folds of the adjacent one.

So we continue to connect the individual modules.

We close all 5 elements in a ring.

You can leave the origami star as it is, or you can slightly raise its top.

03. Volumetric star made of paper for a postcard

On a white sheet, draw a star stencil, as in the photo, and prepare a sheet of red cardboard.

Cut it out.

Bend the workpiece - all short strips bend inward, and long ones outward. Glue it to the base. Thus, you can make a three-dimensional star for a postcard on February 23rd or May 9th.

How to make a five-pointed star out of paper video tutorial

Seeing such beauty, I simply could not "pass by." Such wonderful stars are origami. They are also called differently stars of happiness... Indeed, when you look at the scattering of these babies, the mood immediately rises.

Making these cute stars is not at all difficult, however, due to their small size, it seems that their number is increasing very slowly. But, if you set out to make a lot of them, then you just have to cut the suitable paper into ribbons of the required width and do not forget to take them in your hands at every convenient moment. For example, I collect stars when I watch TV, because part of the time when creating them is taken up by almost automatic movements, which you don't even need to look at - the tape itself lies down as it should, just turn the figure in your hands.

By the way, even special sets are produced - beautiful cut paper for creating "stars of happiness".

The stars look very beautiful on their own: you can, for example, decorate the interior of a room by pouring such stars into a transparent jar, bottle or vase; make a curtain out of them for the New Year; to complement the decoration of gifts or New Year's compositions ... but you never know what you can think of to create with the help of these adorable babies?

Well, now let's see how their make.

1. Firstly, if you have not purchased a special kit for creating them, you yourself will have to cut colored paper or unnecessary magazines into thin strips. It is not very convenient to do this with scissors: for a long time and not quite evenly, but if you use a stationery knife and a ruler, then the work will go very quickly. The ratio of length to width should be about 29 cm by 1.2 cm, if your paper is longer, then increase the width proportionally. You just do not rush to cut a lot of ribbons at once: collect a few stars and then you will understand what width and length you need.

To create my stars, I cut a magazine and metallized colored paper into "ribbons". But even plain white paper stars look great!

2. We proceed directly to the creation:

First you need to make a loop
- then, taking the short end of the paper, we make a knot
- carefully tighten the paper, tightening the knot so that we get an equilateral 5-gon
- we turn the small tail back, if it sticks out, then bend it or cut it

Now we begin to wrap the long end around the pentagon - the ribbon, as if by itself, begins to lie down pretty well on the edge of the figure
- fold the tape until the paper "runs out"
- carefully tuck the remaining tail under the strip

So you have the star blank ready, now it remains to "squeeze out" the rays of the star. At this stage, marriage appears from time to time, so take your time, but you need to act confidently and decisively.

3. We take the pentagon with the fingers of our left hand, with two fingers of our right hand, as if grasping one of the corners and press on the edge, pushing the side of the pentagon across in its middle.
Then we move on to the next facet, pushing through - squeezing out all the rays of the star.

Symbolism

A star is one of the many-valued symbols. In its most general form, the star symbolizes high aspirations, dreams or ideals. In many ways, what it stands for depends on the shape of the star. So, for example, the inverted star is a symbol of the church of Satan, and the six-pointed star of David is considered a talisman.
