Handmade balloon with flowers. Do-it-yourself balloon with a basket: instructions and diagrams

I'll tell you how I made a "balloon" decoration out of a simple balloon, a basket-box and threads. Suitable for a wedding with an appropriate theme, a travel theme, like ours, as well as for any other, with a consistent concept.

The ideal beautiful picture looks like this:

Let's try to recreate something similar, but with our own hands.

I originally planned to put the resulting balloons on the table, and this is the reason for some of the design elements. It is also good to hang similar balloons, as in the photo above.

So, in general, we need

Balloon (preferably plain, classic or now fashionable round shape);
- balloon stick (sold in stores for the holidays, as well as in toy stores, in the same place as the balloons themselves);
- a tip for the ball holder (they need two, on both ends of the stick);
- a basket of suitable size and shape (if there is a wicker basket - great, I didn’t find it, and I’ll tell you how I got out);
- jute, linen or cotton twine (for tying the basket);
- smooth, but not too thin threads for weaving a net on a ball (I took cotton threads for knitting);
- a small ring for the base of the grid (optional, it's just more convenient with it);
- glue;

and, if the resulting composition will be used together with floristry, like mine, then you will also need:
- a cup that fits snugly into the main basket (if the basket is made of permeable material, like mine, if the basket is plastic, an additional cup is not needed);
- floral sponge (in a glass);
- actual flowers.

For business!

The first thing I did was to find suitable baskets. Ideally, these should have been wicker baskets, but very tiny, and without a hint of a handle. I found only peat pots. They look like this:

Cut off the pot a little from above, if it is too big. Then we coat it with glue (you can not entirely, but only at the very bottom and at the end at the top). We wrap the pot tightly from the bottom to the top with twine.

Then we place inside a jar of a suitable size (in my case it is a jar of yogurt), and a stick-holder of a balloon with tips on both ends. If you use a floral sponge, then the bottom tip may not be useful, because. the holder simply sticks into the sponge, and thus will be securely fastened. To be sure, you can fasten everything with glue.

We inflate the balloon and fix it on the upper tip. It turned out the following:

In general, it looks like. The turn of the most important thing has come - the threads connecting the ball itself and the basket. You can use satin ribbons, like here:

You can use thick threads arranged in the same way (I tried with the same twine, I will show this option as well). However, the network looks best, as in a real balloon. A diagram of a simple weaving of a mesh on a balloon is shown in the picture:

I used 8 threads and a fairly large mesh size. As it turned out, it is better to take 16 (or even 32) threads, and make the cell size a little smaller. I'll show you what happened. A little later I plan to edit the MK when an improved version appears.

We unwind the threads, 4 segments (or better, I repeat, 8 segments) of the same length, a little more than a couple of meters. We take a small ring for jewelry, and tie all the threads on it exactly in the center:

For the same size of the cell, we use a piece of cardboard, which we tie, taking it out later (this idea was spied on a fishing forum). Well, if you initially start weaving on the ball itself, so that someone holds the ring in the center. It is quite inconvenient to weave such a mesh on your knee on your own:

After the second row, I moved the grid to the ball, and continued, increasing the size of the cell, already without any additional. fixtures.

As you can see from the photos, the ball expands quite quickly, and you need to significantly increase the size of the grid cells, otherwise they will be irregular in shape, too wide. Increasing the number of threads will just solve this problem. In general, when the net is already on the ball being tied, its shape is generated by itself.

We continue weaving, soon reaching the widest point of the ball or going quite a bit beyond it. From this moment we release the threads down freely, to the basket itself.

Cut the threads to the desired length and fasten them to the edges of the basket inside (I have not done this yet). You can use glue, hooks, holes in the basket - as convenient.

You can leave the balloons as is. In this case, you need to be especially careful with the upper edges of the basket (in this case, the finished wicker basket will come in handy), with its inside, as well as with the places where the threads are attached. Because it will all be visible. I propose to place flowers in the basket, thereby solving a number of problems:
- the whole composition looks more elegant;
- in one bottle we have both thematic and floral design, without overloading the space;
- the edges and the inside can be arbitrarily curved 😀, since under the head of flowers all these flaws will not be visible.

Actually, we stick suitable flowers and greenery into the floristic sponge, forming a composition. For training, I used flowers that grew under the window (simply twigs of cherry blossoms and some unknown flowers growing in a flower bed).

I show two options, described with a network, as well as with coarse twine.

Owning a hot air balloon is a childhood dream of many. Today it is possible not only to purchase it, but also to make it yourself. How? Read on!

Buy a balloon

Today, several stores both abroad and in Russia offer to buy balloons and shells for them. New Russian-made hot air balloons (hot air balloons) cost about 700 thousand rubles with all the necessary components - a shell, a basket, a burner, a fan, an air intake, etc. Most of the price falls on the shell - 300-400 thousand rubles. The cost with a basket of Czech production starts from 30 thousand dollars, England - from 40 thousand euros.

Used balloons can be purchased from 400-500 thousand rubles for a complete set. In addition to the cost of the apparatus itself, the owner of the balloon will have to spend on:

  • gas consumption;
  • registration and certification in the Federal Air Transport Agency;
  • annual renewal of the certificate of airworthiness;
  • remuneration to the pilot (possibly for his training);
  • remuneration of the ground service crew, etc.

Hot air balloon with a basket do it yourself: dome

If you decide to design your own balloon, then the first thing you should do is the dome. For him, you need to purchase durable nylon - polyester or polyamide. It is important that the material does not let air through - cover the fabric on the reverse side with liquid polyurethane or silicone.

The next step is to cut the nylon into segments of the desired size, which are sewn together with extra strong threads. The do-it-yourself hole for inflating a balloon with a basket is sheathed with a protective layer of material that is resistant to high temperatures.

To make the dome more durable, it is additionally sheathed vertically and horizontally with fabric tapes. They are fixed at the very top of the dome, and the lower edges of the ribbons are attached to the ropes of the suspension basket.

How to make a balloon: basket

Traditionally, the walls of the basket are woven from vines, and the bottom is made from the so-called marine plywood, which is resistant to temperature extremes and other extreme moments. The framework is steel cables from corrosion-proof material. They attach the basket to the dome. Special leather covers are put on the cables to protect them from damage.

It is also necessary to design special suspensions where luggage and accessories for aeronautics will be stored.

Important element: burner

Before you make a balloon, you need to carefully consider the design of the burner. The fuel for it is currently liquefied propane. The average power of the device is 4.5-6.0 thousand megawatts. It is necessary to purchase special burners for balloons, which are made of durable stainless steel using a special technology that allows the device to withstand large temperature differences.

Own balloon: instructions

It is, of course, difficult to make a passenger balloon at home, but it is very possible to make a test paper balloon with a basket with your own hands. You will need:

  • thick paper;
  • thin paper (so-called tissue paper);
  • glue;
  • threads;
  • leg-split;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • long line;
  • triangle.

Now to work:

  1. The number and size of the cut strips will depend on the diameter of your ball. If it is 1.5 m, then 12 strips will be needed, 2 m - 16, 2.5 m - 20, 3 m - 24.
  2. To draw an even pattern, first draw a vertical line on paper equal to the length of the future strip. Through it, draw perpendicular segments at a certain distance equal to the limits of the segment width. The end points of the segments are connected by a smooth line, which will be the outline of the strip.
  3. Using the cardboard template, trace and cut out the outlines of the segments on tissue paper. It is most convenient to lay several layers of it on top of each other, forming a pack, and cut several segments at once.
  4. The segments are first glued together with "boats". Then these "boats" need to be glued one to the other. Before sealing the last seam, turn the structure so that it has the shape of a ball.
  5. The base of the ball is fastened with glued strips of paper with twine - this design will hold the ball when heated.
  6. Cover the top of the dome with a circle of the same tissue paper.
  7. After the glue has dried, flatten the dome by holding it over the blowtorch.
  8. A basket for special cargo can be attached to the structure on the same twine.

To launch the ball, turn on the burner or kindle a fire, hold your ball over the heat source, without letting go of the string from your hands. Once the air inside your homemade aeronautics is warm, you can let it fly.

Thus, a do-it-yourself balloon with a basket can be made at home. But passenger balloons can only be bought or rented.

Who in childhood did not dream of a ride in a hot air balloon! Any child in the game represents himself as a conqueror of heaven. Such games are very important for the development of the child, and you can help him with this. It is not necessary to buy him expensive models of balloons. It will be much more fun for him to make such a craft on his own. Let's find out how you can make a balloon with a basket with your own hands. You can make it together - your kid will get a lot of positive emotions from the creative process, and then he will be able to play with the resulting toy.

Let's start creating

For the ball itself, you will need newspaper or other paper, just do not take thick paper. How to make a balloon with a basket?

  1. Tear the paper into pieces and soak in a bowl of warm water.
  2. Inflate a balloon of the size you need - it will be the base. Lubricate it with hand cream.
  3. Lay a layer of wet newspaper without glue over the entire surface of the sphere so that there are no gaps. Just leave a small area free at the tail.
  4. Coat the entire ball with glue and lay out another layer of paper.
  5. Make 4 layers in this way.
  6. Leave the base of the craft to dry in a warm place.
  7. When the product is completely dry, it must be primed. To do this, mix gouache with glue and apply over the entire surface. Choose the color you like.
  8. Now pierce the ball with a needle. From the inside, he will peel off and fall out.

Now you can color and decorate it as you wish.

Making a basket

What can you make a basket out of?

  • You can make it out of a tea box. Cut off the lid and cover the box with colored paper.

Important! The inner surface, if desired, can also be pasted over or painted with paints.

  • You can make an origami paper basket. To do this, cut a square out of paper, divide into 3 parts and fold. Divide and fold it on the other side in the same way. Now fold each of the corners diagonally and form a cube. Make holes in the corners of the basket and pull the tape diagonally through the two holes. Connect the other two holes with an X.

Important! For the free ends of the tape, the basket can be tied to the ball.

  • Suitable plastic buckets can be used. And if you put small toys in them, then the craft will become even more realistic. And if you plant figurines of Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden in them, then such crafts will bring the atmosphere of a holiday into your house.

Light bulb balloon

We often throw away old and seemingly unnecessary things without thinking that they can be turned into something interesting. Here, for example, burnt out light bulbs. It turns out that you can make a craft balloon with a basket with your own hands from them. It is absolutely easy to do this - even a child can handle it under your strict guidance:

  • Degrease an old burnt out light bulb.

Important! The more original it will be the form the better. You can degrease it with alcohol.

  • Now it needs to be painted. Choose the color you like and decorate the light bulb.
  • Use a cork as a basket, or make one out of paper.
  • Glue the ropes to the basket. Their role will be played by thick threads. You can twist several threads together.
  • Draw patterns on the light bulb and attach the basket.

Important! You can make a loop and stick it with superglue to hang your craft.

These are the ideas that will help you become the creator of a small, but real balloon. We wish you successful results of your creative work!

Balloons are different: a flying balloon with a basket, rubber balloons inflated with helium or ordinary air, crafts in the form of balloons, etc. Today we will tell and show you how to make balloons in a step by step DIY tutorial.

DIY balloons with a basket

Balloons with a basket were invented by mankind a long time ago and were used to move through the air. Now it is an exciting entertainment, suitable both for relaxing with the family, and for a romantic trip or excursion. Making a huge balloon for flying yourself is almost impossible, but a small balloon for launching is quite possible to think over.

The balloon consists of a dome, which is sewn from durable nylon materials, the back of the balloon is covered with an airtight material. The inflation hole is stitched with a fabric resistant to high temperatures.

The basket is made of wicker and marine plywood, resistant to moisture. Stainless steel cables are used for the frame and protected with leather covers. The basket also holds accessories for the balloon.

Burners serve to heat the air and maintain the temperature in the dome. Fuel is liquefied propane.

To make a decorative balloon, we need: thick paper, thin tissue paper, twine, glue, thread, as well as a triangle, a long ruler, scissors, glue brushes and a pencil.

The amount of materials depends on the size of the ball:

In order to make a ball with a diameter of 2 meters, you will need 16 strips of paper.

  1. To begin with, a pattern is drawn on thick paper or cardboard, according to the above diagram. One template will be enough;
  2. Blanks for segments are made of tissue paper, which, with a lack of size, can be glued together;
  3. While the segments are glued together, cut out blanks from cardboard;
  4. We apply a cardboard template to tissue paper and cut out 16 segments, taking into account allowances for gluing one centimeter in size;
  5. We first glue the cut segments in pairs, forming "boats", then we glue the "boats" together, except for the last seam;
  6. We turn the shell inside out and only then glue the last seam;
  7. Next, you need to fasten the base of the ball with two rectangular strips of thick paper, under which you need to glue the twine that will hold the ball when heated;
  8. On the top of the dome, so that there are no gaps, a circle is glued from the same material as the dome itself;
  9. After drying, the dome is straightened by heating with a blowtorch;
  10. We make a fire, hold a ball over it by the twine.

When the air in the balloon is warm enough, the balloon is ready to be launched. Admire.

Crafts in the form of balloons look very beautiful. They can be made from paper, felt and even light bulbs.

We present you a master class on the manufacture of such jewelry.

Light bulb balloon.

We often throw away burnt out lamps, but we do it in vain, as they can be made into amazing crafts.

Now we will tell you how to make balloons from light bulbs.

For the creative process we need:
  1. Burnt out light bulbs;
  2. Paints for working on glass;
  3. Improvised materials for the basket;
  4. Threads.

First of all, the light bulb must be degreased so that the paint lays evenly. We cover the light bulb with a background. While it cools, you can make a basket. From paper, from corks - what is your imagination ready for. We glue the ropes-threads of the size you need to the basket. When the background of our ball has dried up, we need to draw the details. We connect the basket with the ball. On top of the superglue or hot glue, you can make a loop to hang the ball.

Such balloons can also be made using knitting, stained glass windows and various other improvised means:

Details of the manufacture of such crafts can be viewed in the video tutorial at the end of the article.

Felt balloon.

It is quite simple to sew a balloon out of felt, but it looks very nice and colorful.

To do this, we need pieces of felt, a pattern, cardboard for the template, threads and cardboard for the basket and, of course, sewing tools.

To begin with, we cut out eight wedges according to the template, taking into account the allowance and one circle. Here is a template for three different sizes:

The felt balloon is ready.

Balloons have confidently entered our lives. They decorate weddings and other holidays, they are given, with the help of them marriage proposals are made.

The original way to congratulate a person is quite simple. We will need a large box, wrapping paper, helium balloons. It is desirable that there is a gift at the bottom of the box. Such a surprise is made shortly before the presentation. A certain number of balloons are inflated and closed in a box. When the box is opened, the balloons take off!

Balloons can be made with your own hands both for launching and for decorating rooms in everyday life or for holidays.

Stylish toy - "Balloon"

We bring to your attention a small master class on creating a balloon toy. This Christmas tree toy is easy to make and looks quite creative.

To create a toy "Balloon" you will need:

Foam ball for base

Fabric as desired
- for decorating beads and beads
- decorative ribbon and rope

Stationery knife, scissors
- durable transparent adhesive
- decorative thick paper for the basket.

Stylish balloon toy step by step:

First of all, you will need to mark the ball with a simple pencil into eight identical parts.

Along all the marked lines, you need to make cuts with a clerical knife. Slots should be made about 0.5 cm, continuously cutting each line around the circumference.

Place the cut piece of fabric inside out on the foam ball and use a knife to tuck the fabric into the cuts. It is more convenient to start from the center, gradually moving towards the poles of the ball. Turn the fabric inside out and tuck the other side of the slice.

Excess fabric must be carefully cut with sharp scissors, the rest should be tucked inside the incision with a knife.

Do the previous steps for each segment. After all the segments are covered with fabric, you will get a beautiful fabric ball, which in itself can be a great decoration.

Glue a decorative lace / rope to the ball.

The first two strips of rope should be glued perpendicular to each other, and their length should be slightly longer than the circumference of the ball, because. a basket will be attached to them.

The other two pieces of decorative string should match the circumference of the balloon and cover the remaining cuts. Attach a string to the top for hanging. Tie a ribbon and put on a decorative bead.

Decorate the ball at your discretion with beads and beads.

Make a basket out of decorative paper. You can make a simple square paper basket. To do this, cut the paper into thin strips (0.3-0.5 cm). Weave alternately several stripes. After weaving several strips - bend them up.

Also alternately weave the cooked "clamps". Weave 3-4 collars, forming a basket up. As soon as you are satisfied with the height, bend the ends of the strips, cut them evenly and glue them with clerical glue.

Glue the basket to the ropes. The balloon is ready!

Such a balloon can be used both as a Christmas toy and as an element of New Year's decor. By creating such balls in different colors, you can decorate the interior in a children's room, make a gift or a souvenir.
