• destroy the lipid layer binding the scales of the outer layer of the hair, leading to the destruction of the hair structure.

What are surfactants?

Most often, one of the components is included in shampoos (in order from more aggressive to less harmful):

• sodium lauryl sulfate(sodium lauryl sulfate)
• ammonium lauryl sulfate(ammonium lauryl sulfate)
