Chinese shoes are of high quality

Let's start with the fact that 30 trade marks men's shoes from genuine leather of the most popular brands in Russia, including Ralf Ringer, Pazolini, Pierre Cardin, Chester, Ecco, Francesco Donni, Geox, Mascotte, Baldinini, Rieker, Paris Commune, Salamander, Hugo Boss, Tommy hilfiger, Marks & Spencer, Aldo, Zenden and Tomas Munz.

Let's make a reservation right away that five of the tested specimens were produced in Russia, 11 in China, four in Italy, three in Germany, two in India, two in Portugal and, finally, one sample each from Cambodia, Romania and Turkey.

Bravo! No toxic footwear found

Roskachestvo tested all shoes for toxicity, quality of tailoring, flexibility, strength, deformation, and also found out whether they were really made of genuine leather.

Bravo! No toxic footwear was found, and the leather of all boots turned out to be natural. Nevertheless, the footwear of four brands is recognized as a product of high quality. And here the palm branch is held by such brands as Paris Commune (made in Russia), Zenden (China), Hugo Boss (Germany), Clarks Tilden Plain (India).

And the heel ... flew off!

All sorts of inconsistencies were identified in only 11 cases out of 30. Experts' comments are mostly related to the quality of tailoring, fastening of the sole and heel, color fastness of the lining and flexibility ...

Now attention! Less durable than required, heel fastening for the two most expensive brands - Baldinini and Aldo. The outsole is also not well attached at Ionesi, Francesco Donni, Alessio Nesca, Chester and Calipso.

The strongest seams of the upper parts were found in Freccia by Tervolina, Pazolini, Chester, Paris Commune, Zara, and the most fragile in comparison with the analogs presented in the study were in Francesco Donni, Ralf Ringer, s. Oliver, Pierre Cardin and TJ Collection. The lightest boots were a pair of Ralf Ringer, and the heaviest were Tomas Munz.

Expensive shoes are painted too

Eight pairs under the brands Baldinini, Pazolini, Chester, Salamander, Calipso, Ralf Ringer, Ionesi and Pierre Cardin have lining. However, the latter, according to experts, is a sore point for many manufacturers.

However, the experts themselves rushed to defend these brands. As it turned out, the fact that the lining is painted is normal.

“If the lining of the shoes paints the socks and feet, it doesn’t mean that the manufacturer used cheap, low-quality paint. The fact is that the sweat secreted by the feet destroys the dyes. Shoemakers have been dealing with the problem of perspiration of dyeing for a long time, but so far it has not been resolved, ”says Alexandra Andrunakievich, General Director of the Russian Union of Leatherworkers and Shoemakers.

And finally, the study dispelled the myth about the naturalness of the so-called eco-leather, which is often found in the lexicon of shoe sellers.

"Eco-leather", "pressed", "collagen leather" - this is just a marketing ploy, synthetic materials that do not have the properties of the skin. This is a deception of buyers, which must be dealt with, "says Andrunakievich. According to her, good leatherette for shoes, of course, exists, but it is quite expensive and is used in expensive shoes.

There is a huge difference between inexpensive and expensive shoes. How to understand how well the pair that you plan to buy is made, and whether it is worth the money that is asked for it

There is a difference whether you are going to spend $ 100, $ 200, or $ 500. Because cost is not a quality indicator. For example, brands such as Prada, Armani, Hugo Boss and others automatically charge a higher price tag on their products, considering the popularity of the brand, but not the quality or construction of the shoe. At the same time, shoes from less famous and well-known manufacturers of the same quality are often sold much cheaper. Even among low-cost shoe manufacturers, quality can vary greatly.

There are those who prefer sports or casual shoes and do not want to spend money on formal shoes. Others simply don't see the difference between cheap and expensive.

The only way to know what quality pair of shoes you are going to buy is to figure it out before buying. Here are some signs of poor quality shoes for different price points.

Shoes for $ 100.

Seams. The first distinctive feature to avoid - fake stitches. Most couples in this price range will feature a welt-like decorative element. Manufacturers add such an element for a reason. It is typical for expensive shoes and is used on cheap shoes just to mislead you. The sole in these shoes is glued to the top. This is a cheap and unreliable method, so imitation of a seam should give the appearance of reliability for this structure. With a high degree of probability, the glue will dry out in a year or two, and you will have to regularly glue the sole. Very soon the appearance of the shoes will deteriorate, and the most reasonable solution would be to throw them away.

Sole. Sometimes the imitation of the seam is noticeable on the sole. Don't be fooled. Take a closer look. The outsole may look leathery at first glance, but it is most likely a composite material that just needs to look like leather. In fact, it is rubber. Most often, in the production of shoes in this price segment, an imitation of a leather sole is used or the sole is just rubber. Even if you find shoes with leather sole, it will be of poor quality and will wear off much faster than more expensive shoes.

The first distinguishing feature to avoid is fake stitches.

Details.$ 100 shoes often try to mimic the details of a more expensive pair. But this is done quite roughly. For example, on Johnston & Murphy shoes, you will find a seam at the top of the sole. If you look closely, it turns out that this is a rubber sole with an imitation of a seam by means of injection molding. Thus, the manufacturer is trying to trick you by forging details that are typical for shoes of a higher price segment.

Low quality leather. Leather is usually a fairly expensive material, so in order to sell shoes for $ 100, you need to make them from cheap materials. This means that for the production of such shoes, leather of the second or third grade is used. This skin is sanded and pigmented to hide blemishes. A new pair may look good enough, but once you put it on, it will wrinkle and the pigment will age very ugly. Over time, it knocks out of the structure of the skin, exposing the defects that it was supposed to hide.

From small pieces.$ 100 shoes are often made from a large number parts sewn together. This happens for several reasons. The low labor cost in Asia, where the footwear is produced, allows manufacturers to save on the amount of time spent and simultaneously use all the leather purchased, down to the smallest trimmings. Seams are often uneven, and perforations and small details are unnecessary.

Out-of-alignment pads. In this price segment, shoes will be large and square-toed, wide in general to accommodate any type of foot. Usually, the last (the shape of the shoe) is one of the signs that reveal the quality of your shoe. You will never find an expensive men's shoe with a versatile last that fits any type of foot.

Soft interior. The leather on cheap shoes is very tough and unyielding. Manufacturers are forced to add padding to make them walkable. When you put on your shoes, they may seem soft and comfortable, but soon the soft pad will wear out and you will be left alone with the tough skin.

Limited choice of colors. In addition to all of the above, you are very limited in your choice of color. You can choose from black, brown or light brown. And it's all.

Total. The $ 100 shoes are made from cheap materials and won't last you more than a year or two. Then you throw them away.

Shoes costing $ 200 to $ 400

The next step up the price range is footwear from a wide range of materials and manufacturing methods. Since there is too much variation in quality in this segment, some representatives are overrated and it is better to take a closer look at the shoes.

Pay attention to the skin first. Price is not a good indicator of quality. In this price segment, there is a possibility of overpaying for the name of the manufacturer, but getting shoes made from low quality materials. At the same time, in the same price segment, there are shoes made from excellent materials. An excellent example is the shoes of the American manufacturer Allen Edmonds. At the end of the season, a pair of shoes from this manufacturer can be purchased for about $ 250. And this is a great deal considering the high quality materials and workmanship. This also includes the Santoni brand.

Shoes for $ 500.

Comfort. Most likely, you will wear out these shoes longer (or you can just give them to stretch), but they are completely made of leather. This means that your feet will sag less. And in the sole of these shoes there is a cork cushion. It is soft and springy, so even if you spend all day on your feet, this day will not be excruciating.

Leather quality. The pores of the skin are not clogged during painting, so it turns out beautiful material with a unique patina that only looks better over time. Some shoes in this price range are hand-painted to create a unique, inimitable pattern. The lining of the shoes is also made of genuine leather.

Toe and heel liners. On high quality shoes, they are made of leather. On cheap shoes, they are often plastic.

Appearance. Usually, shoes with a price tag of over $ 500 look sophisticated and elegant. Their stock is fine-tuned and will look good for years to come.

Details. The perforation is more accurate, and overall the shoes look "cleaner".

But at the same time, shoes over $ 500 are also very different in quality. Let's say the high end Santoni are great shoes. The same can be said about Bontoni, Stefano Bemer, Church’s, Carmina. These manufactories are not inferior to a centimeter in the struggle for the quality of their shoes. But there are also those who save on details, which means that the shoes are no longer worth the money that the manufacturer exposes.

Therefore, pay attention not only to the cost. Try to understand what quality of shoes is hidden behind a particular name of the manufacturer. Having a basic understanding of how and from what shoes are made, you can buy really worthwhile things. Before you pay for a pair of shoes, ask yourself a few test questions: what is the quality of the leather, how is it dyed, what is the sole on these shoes, how are they made, what I am paying for in this particular case.

In this article, we will not consider the question of how to distinguish real shoes from fake, but consider how expensive branded sneakers differ from Chinese consumer goods. And when to overpay for the company, and when not.

The comfort of the shoe

We can firmly say that comfortable shoes can be both for 300 rubles and for 5000 rubles. It is important that when you buy you do not have the slightest discomfort. Otherwise, the very first run will turn into the torment of the little mermaid, from the work of the same name.

The most common problem with shoes is blisters. The wrong choice of sneakers will guarantee them to you. And there is no difference in price or quality. If you rush to the purchase, rush to a discount or beauty, and buy shoes that are not suitable for your foot, then your foot will feel uncomfortable in both expensive and cheap sneakers.

Sometimes new shoes are so out of shape that pains in the ankle joints begin to appear.

The main thing is to understand that first of all you need to look not at the price, but at how the sneaker sits on your foot. Put on, go shopping, jump, if possible, run a few meters. You shouldn't notice that you put on your shoes. It is this feeling that should arise when choosing. And here it often happens that price and convenience are not directly proportional.

Therefore, the convenience of shoes does not depend on the price. Except when the sneakers are custom made.

Quality and strength

At this point, it is difficult to disagree that branded sneakers are much stronger and more reliable than their Chinese counterparts. Here, too, one must understand that the matter is not in the price, but in the company - the manufacturer. Because buying Chinese sneakers for 5 tr, which the seller will pass off as real, will not turn out to be anything good for you either.

Branded sneakers can withstand many times higher loads than ordinary cheap ones. You will feel this when you start running regularly. For example, Chinese sneakers costing from 300 to 1000 rubles are usually "killed" in 2-3 months. And branded ones may well last a couple of seasons. Of course, depending on the regularity of training and the running surface, the figure may differ, but if you take the average, then usually branded ones last 4-5 times longer than Chinese ones.

And then the question arises, which is more profitable, because branded ones cost 10 times more. Here you need to look at your financial capabilities. If you have the money to buy real "nike" or "adidas" sneakers, then feel free to buy - you will not go wrong. If not, then go for cheap Chinese ones. For one year you will have to buy 2-4 pairs, but at the same time their cost is so low that it is still several times cheaper than one pair of branded ones.

The only problem is that you have to look for and choose new sneakers for your foot every time. And this is not the easiest task.

Appearance

Buying fashionable felt boots is not the same thing as buying new fashionable sneakers. Valenki - shoes are initially comfortable. And you don't need to run in it, so you can buy simply by size and type.

Running shoes are a lot more complicated. Often they are bought for the appearance of shoes, forgetting about its quality, convenience and price.

As mentioned above, first of all, the sneaker should fit perfectly on the leg, only after that you can think about it appearance.

If you are going to run in sneakers and not walk, then do not get hung up on appearance. Most modern sneakers have a very beautiful design.

To improve your results in running at medium and long distances, you need to know the basics of running, such as correct breathing, technique, warm-up, the ability to make the correct eyeliner for the day of the test, and others.
