How the proofreader works. Proofreader: profession and its features

What are the differences between the concealer and the concealer, the features of these cosmetics, the rules for using and applying the concealer pointwise and with a brush, the choice of the shade of the corrector to eliminate skin imperfections.

Concealer and concealer: what's the difference

Many women confuse these cosmetics, believing that they serve the same function. But their purpose is still different.

The corrector is a medicinal product, which contains salicylic acid, thanks to it, minor skin imperfections, rashes quickly dry out. It is often used to treat acne and blemishes. The product is applied to the problem area pointwise.

Concealer is a light and gentle tool that can be used to smoothen and even out skin tone, to model the oval of the face. This cosmetic product, in contrast to the corrector, can be applied to large areas: under the eyes, on the forehead, nose, chin.

Due to its soft texture, the concealer tones well inflammation and redness on the skin: it will lighten moles or freckles, hide age spots and protruding vessels. The under-eye circles hidden by concealer will be less noticeable. The product contains vitamins and reflective particles, thanks to which the face will shine and glow with health. The concealer perfectly moisturizes and nourishes the skin, saturates it with antioxidants.

Manufacturing companies today produce correctors and concealers in different shade palettes. Concealers, which come in natural skin tones, need to be matched to your skin tone. It is recommended to buy a product half a tone lighter. Correctors can be yellow, blue, green, lilac and even red: the desired color is determined based on what problem on the skin of the face needs to be masked.

It is recommended to apply the corrector by the point method on previously cleansed skin. This is followed by the process of applying the foundation. Then there is a concealer, when applying which it is necessary to take into account the convex and shady parts of the face. With a transparent and light flesh-colored texture, concealer works well with foundation.

Thus, the products on the face are completely invisible. With the help of concealer, you can highlight the necessary areas on the face - for example, the nasolabial folds or the space under the eyebrow. Both cosmetic products are needed to create the ideal skin tone, but the properties and tasks of each are different.

The main differences between concealer and corrector are as follows:

  • Concealer is a delicate and liquid texture, while a concealer is thicker and thicker.
  • The corrector is applied to the skin using a point method, and the concealer is a product that can be applied to local areas.
  • The corrector dries and heals minor imperfections, while the concealer nourishes the skin.
  • The corrector is applied to a clean face before using the foundation, and the concealer is applied after.

Features of using concealer

This product can have a different structure and consistency: liquid or creamy, available in tubes, bottles with a brush or in the form of a pencil-stick. Before purchasing a product, you need to determine the features of the skin and its problems that need to be eliminated.

What is concealer for?

If you want to give your face a fresh, rested look, then it is recommended to take a closer look at concealers with a light transparent texture, which should include reflective elements. Thanks to this product, the skin will always look rested and radiant from the inside.

If your goal is to mask bruises or dark circles under the eyes, then use a dense flesh-tinted product. After all, this is the only way to cover these shortcomings. The color of the product is selected individually, but you still need to remember: no matter how dark the problem area is, the concealer should be only half a tone lighter than the usual skin color. Otherwise, you will get ugly light circles on the face.

Means of too light shades and highlighters do not have sufficient masking properties; they are best used in the process of contouring the face.

To make wrinkles less visible, choose nourishing concealers that won't dry out your skin. It often happens that after applying the second layer, the desired effect is not observed, but on the contrary, the disadvantages began to stand out even more. Therefore, each product must be tested several times on the skin and select the best application option.

It must be remembered: each skin is individual and there is no universal remedy that would suit everyone. Suitable cosmetic products need to be searched for and selected. Lighting plays an important role when choosing, so you need to evaluate the result only in daylight.

How to use a spot concealer

Liquid concealer ideally conceals imperfections in the skin around the eyes and lips. This remedy will brighten the skin and mask redness in the upper eyelid and the area around the nose. Perfect for sensitive and dry skin. The product is irreplaceable when creating evening make-up.

To work with such a cosmetic product, you need to remember several application rules:

  1. When working with concealer, you don't need to get close to the mirror.
  2. The shading of the product should be done on well-hydrated skin.
  3. The product shades better and is applied smoother if done with warm hands.
  4. When applying the corrective product, do not use the enlarging side of the mirror.
  5. If necessary, you can apply concealer in several layers.
  6. It is not recommended to mask open wounds and abrasions with a concealer. This is fraught with the onset of the inflammatory process.
  7. Before applying the corrective agent, wash your hands well, and after work, clean the sponges from product residues.

How to apply concealer with a brush

It should always be remembered that the basis of any long-lasting makeup is well-nourished and moisturized skin. Then the main layer of concealer is applied, it will even out the skin tone and smooth out the unevenness.

There is a nuance: if you then apply a matting foundation or a product with a dense texture to oily skin, then it is not recommended to apply the concealer under the eyes, because it will dry out the delicate area even more.

If you apply this remedy to aging skin, then you should additionally moisturize it in advance. This can be a special base that contains silicone particles. Such a component helps the product not to clog into wrinkles and not to accentuate flaking.

The best way to apply the liquid corrective agent is with a special brush. You need to start the application process from the inner corner of the eye and move to the most problematic area with light point movements. If necessary, apply the product under the lower eyelid, pull it slightly towards the temples.

The tool, as a rule, is applied with soft pats, with a brush, it is, as it were, hammered into the skin. It is strongly not recommended to smear the product on problem areas with your finger! Shading should be done using a special sponge - a beauty blender, it is very convenient to use and removes excess funds from the skin well.

Corrector application rules

The principle of operation of this cosmetic product is to mask imperfections with the help of color correction. Concealer - dense and dense in structure, has a wide range of colors. Each color is designed to mask a specific blemish in the skin.

What is a corrector for?

This cosmetic product perfectly masks minor imperfections and skin imperfections: dark circles under the eyes, redness near the wings of the nose, small acne, freckles, age spots.

It is impossible to use the product for the area around the eyes if it is dry and sensitive, since the skin in this area is dehydrated and the first wrinkles can quickly appear on it. The corrective agent is quite dense in texture, so it will help to hide all skin imperfections as much as possible.

The tone of the product should be selected depending on which skin imperfection needs to be hidden.

How to use a face concealer

If you use a corrector, you can transform and refresh your skin in a matter of minutes.

There are certain rules for applying a corrector:

  • Apply the cosmetic product only to a well-cleansed and moisturized face with day cream. Only after the cream is completely absorbed, start applying the concealer.
  • Treat the problem skin area with a small amount of the product. Blend the corrector gently with point movements.
  • It is worth remembering: liquid corrective agents are applied only under the foundation, but solid ones (stick pencils) are applied exclusively on top of it. To consolidate the result, brush over your face with a small amount of translucent matting powder.
  • The tonal base should be applied and shaded very carefully so that the corrector layer does not rub off on problem areas.
  • To avoid blemishes on your face, mix a colored liquid concealer with foundation.

Face concealer colors

The color of the masking product must be chosen carefully, because it is the shade that will determine what the result will be after applying makeup.

The palette of corrective agents is quite extensive:

  1. A blue or green product will perfectly cover redness. The optimal choice for girls with oily skin type.
  2. Orange can add freshness to pale skin.
  3. The yellow corrector will well mask small redness and protruding blood vessels.
  4. Pink removes oily shine from the skin and refreshes it.
  5. Dark skin will be bright with apricot or peach concealer.
  6. A lilac or blue corrector applied to the skin of the eyelids will give them a porcelain hue. A product of this color can be used for evening make-up.
  7. A bronze or gold shade of the product will make the face more tanned, mask post-acne and freckles.
  8. With the help of the white corrector, you can correct the oval of the face. Also, the product can be used as a highlighter.
  9. Red will help get rid of the earthy complexion.
How to choose a face concealer - watch the video:

The use of a corrector and concealer makes it possible not to apply thick layers of toning agents to eliminate minor skin imperfections such as bruises, pimples and small blood vessels. The face does not look like a mask, but radiates health and radiance. It is important to choose the right product for your own skin type.

Many women dream of beautiful skin and a healthy complexion. However, as decorative cosmetics for matting and masking defects, most often the fair sex uses foundation and powder.

Such funds, of course, do not hide small rashes and visible blemishes. Therefore, cosmetologists advise using special correctors that can transform the look and visually change the contours of the face.

Types of correctors, colors and textures

The corrector is a versatile cosmetic product that can mask irregularities in the skin with the help of reflective particles included in its composition. In professional practice, he uses to mask serious defects:

  • dark spots;
  • scratches;
  • capillaries;
  • acne, acne, inflammation;
  • puffiness under the eyes.

In addition to its main function, the corrector often has an antibacterial effect thanks to its salicylic acid. In addition, such funds are divided into types depending on the texture and area of application:

All these correctors are appropriate to have in the arsenal of camouflage means, using them as intended. It is also important to know the rules of color and be able to choose the right shade of the product to hide all kinds of skin irregularities. The color correctors palette should have a basic set of colors:

  1. White texture will hide freckles, birthmarks. The color of the concealer should be lighter than the skin tone.
  2. The yellow tint will perfectly cover the reddish spots and help hide the excessive pallor of the skin.
  3. Orange and peach tones will help to emphasize the velvety tan, as well as hide imperfections on dark skin.
  4. Green and blue colors easily hide enlarged pores, eczema or red capillaries.
  5. Pink and red colors are able to remove oily sheen, refreshing grayish skin.
  6. A purple (lilac) tone will give a more natural tone to yellowish complexions.

In addition, the colors of noble metals have become quite popular in recent years. You can visually remove freckles with a golden texture, and a silver tint is used for evening receptions. Such a "steel" shimmer in the spotlight gives the skin perfect smoothness.

Correct use of correctors with different textures

How to use a regular and dry face concealer? Before applying the concealer, be sure to thoroughly cleanse your face and apply a makeup base or cream. If the texture of the product is liquid, then the following application rules should be observed:

  • the product is applied to the area around the eyes with a small brush with quick enough movements so that the effect of unwanted layering does not happen;
  • easily and neatly with a brush, a thin layer is driven into the skin, then you need to wait a few minutes until the product is completely dry and continue making makeup.

A liquid concealer can visually weigh down the eyelid if its texture is too oily or if a thick layer of powder is applied over it. A dry face corrector will play on the skin only if it is applied correctly.

To do this, use the following step-by-step instructions:

Step 1. Apply a cream of light texture to the cleansed face and wait for the complete penetration of the product into the subcutaneous layers.

Step 2. You must use a liquid foundation.

Step 4. After that, you need to carefully shade the borders of the shades, turning them into smooth lines.

Step 5. Apply a light layer of powder over the foundation and correctors. It is best if at this stage the product is transparent and crumbly.

Step 6. If the cheekbone line is already formed in a dark tone, it is best not to use blush in your makeup.

A solid corrector is also used over the foundation, masking skin imperfections pointwise, without going beyond the contours of redness or spots.

Face contouring with colored pigments

Make-up techniques such as contouring are used to correct certain facial features and give the face the desired relief. The combination of light and dark shades can shrink the nose, add volume to the cheekbones and hide a heavy chin.

With a multi-colored palette, brushes and sponge, you can create a completely new look. So, there are certain rules for using a dark corrector:

A light corrector is usually used to highlight such areas of the face as:

  • the center of the frontal zone;
  • the space of the brow arch;
  • the highest point of the cheekbone;
  • dorsum of the nose;
  • chin;
  • relief above the upper lip.

For beginner makeup artists, it will be enough to learn how to use two colors.

The principle of application is quite simple: a light tone highlights the desired areas, a dark tone mutes and hides excessive volumes.

For more professional makeup, a palette of six or more colors is often used, which, in addition to the primary colors, includes a green or blue tint, pink and silver tones. The manufacturers of such a product take into account the fact that all shades must be well combined with each other to achieve the desired color.

Common mistakes when using a color palette

Despite the seeming simplicity of the technique of applying shades from a palette of correctors, the correct sculpting depends on the shape of the face, nose, chin, and forehead. Visually, you can reduce or enlarge any of these parts, but often after applying correctors, girls in daylight are faced with the effect of a mask on their face.

This happens because there are certain errors when using the corrector:

  • it is worth applying the product only in the case of a visible defect; in the opposite situation, it is enough to do only with a tonal agent;
  • bright contouring is appropriate only for photo shoots;
  • thorough shading of all lines is necessary, after which the effect of smooth shadows should be created;
  • plentiful application of the product will highlight, rather than hide, the area that needs to be masked;
  • the wrong shade of the corrector will look unnatural;
  • it is best to use special brushes to apply each individual color.

After the dry product is collected on the brush, it is necessary to shake off the excess by lightly patting the wrist with the tool. The shade is usually applied under the cheekbone, on the sides of the nose and forehead. A light tone is applied under the eyebrow and in the corner of the eye. This will be enough for daytime makeup.

Correct selection of camouflage means

After reading all the information above, the question arises - how to choose the right camouflage corrector for yourself? In order to choose the right corrective product for home use, you should focus on skin color, face shape. It is also necessary to consider the ultimate purpose of using the product. So, correctors should be selected taking into account the following individual characteristics:

  • a light corrector should be close to the natural skin tone;
  • for very light-skinned girls, pinkish shades of a tonal corrector are suitable;
  • the scars of a small location will hide the yellow tint;
  • redness should be masked with a green tone of dense consistency;
  • to mask dark circles, choose a liquid yellowish concealer;
  • if the skin is prone to oily, it is best to choose dry products or with a light texture;
  • dry skin needs moisturizing, so a corrector should be selected for it, which contains caring components;
  • if there are small wrinkles on the face, it is best to use a dry tone, liquid products clog the folds and focus on the problem;
  • Concealer with matting properties is applied only to areas of the face prone to oily.

When choosing the right product, you cannot apply the tester to your wrist or palm. It is best to choose the right shade only if the color is applied to clean skin.

In order for the procedure for applying the corrector to be successful and give the desired result, professional cosmetologists recommend following some simple rules:

  • it is necessary to apply the product only on well-cleansed and moisturized skin;
  • in order to create a lifting effect, it is necessary to apply the texture with movements from bottom to top;
  • a corrector that is lighter than the natural skin tone will help to give a fresh look to a tired face;
  • with the help of light or yellowish correctors, you can hide not only bruises under the eyes, but also puffy eyelids;
  • if a layer of foundation is applied over the correctors, it should be shaded very carefully so as not to get a "dirty" effect.

The colors located opposite each other in the palette are called contrasting, they are able to mutually mask the opposite tone.

Conclusion

Concluding the story about the correct use of camouflage means, it should be noted once again the basic rules of application and sculpting:

  1. A correctly applied tone is able to hide not only small, but also quite noticeable defects on the skin.
  2. For the effect of naturalness and freshness, it is necessary to select a product according to the type and natural skin tone.
  3. Apply the corrector to the areas that need to be emphasized or hidden to create the desired effect.

Faults in the headlight range control reduce the level of safety when driving in the dark. Before starting the search and elimination of a breakdown due to which the headlight range control does not work, familiarize yourself with the principle of operation of the cut-off level control system.

MALFUNCTIONS OF THE HYDRAULIC CORRECTOR

Among the most probable reasons for the inoperative headlight hydrocorrector, one can single out the depressurization of the joints of the pipes, sealing cuffs. The consequence of loose connections is the loss of working fluid, air suction into the system. For proper movement of the working pistons, the system must be completely filled with liquid. The manufacturer does not intend to repair the hydrocorrector, therefore, in the event of a system failure, the assembly is replaced as an assembly. Nevertheless, the article "Hydrocorrector repair" shows that the system is amenable to troubleshooting and restoration.

Where is the lamp hydrocorrector located? Each of the headlights has an actuator that acts on a reflector, from which 2 tubes go into the passenger compartment. Through the technological hole in the engine panel, the pipes go to the master cylinder and the switch on the dashboard.

REPLACEMENT

All works will be shown on the example of VAZ cars, in particular, Lada Granta, but on other models the design will not have much difference.

Dismantling a faulty hydraulic regulator:

  • dismantle the lower decorative panel to the left of the steering column (held by clips);
  • remove the handle of the hydraulic corrector switch. To dismantle, just pull the handle towards you;
  • the main mechanism is fastened with a 21 nut, which can only be unscrewed using a union head. Since the tightening force of the nut is small, a 22 cap head is also suitable for unscrewing;
  • pull out the main mechanism from the inside;
  • each headlight housing has its own slave cylinder. To remove it, turn the actuator body counterclockwise until the latches are released and pull it towards you;
  • it is necessary to release the tubes that are attached to the body with special clips with clamps. If you are not going to repair the hydraulic corrector, then the tubes can be cut off, which will greatly simplify their dismantling (they can simply be pulled out by pulling on the section of the tube at the left headlight). It happens that the hydrocorrector does not work, but there is still quite a lot of fluid in the system, so prepare a container in advance to drain it;
  • remove the negative terminal and dismantle the battery in order to gain access to the technological hole in the engine panel (spanner keys 10 and 13 are required);
  • first drown one of the edges of the sealing gum with a screwdriver, then gradually push it into the interior;
  • remove the tubes together with the seal by pulling on the main mechanism in the passenger compartment. Most likely, you will have to disconnect the connectors at the pedal assembly, which will block the exit of the seal.

Installing a new hydrocorrector

To install from the passenger compartment, pull the actuators and tubes through the hole to the cuffs. Since the space at the pedal assembly is limited, it is advisable to ask someone to pull in the engine compartment for the tubes directed by you from the inside. The sealing rubber must be pulled out of the motor shield, and then installed from the outside into the groove. All you have to do is lay the tubes along the factory circuit. Clips with clamps, if necessary, can be purchased or replaced with conventional clamps.

MALFUNCTIONS OF THE ELECTROMECHANICAL CORRECTOR

An electrically driven system is much more reliable than a hydraulic corrector, but it is not without its drawbacks.

Possible malfunctions:

  • breaking, chafing of wires, formation of oxides in connectors;
  • wear of electric motor elements;
  • burnout of circuit elements (for example, due to overvoltage in the on-board network of the machine or ingress of moisture into the control unit housing). Malfunctioning resistors can lead to the fact that the corrector will not work correctly or only in a limited range of adjustment. Often the problem is the wear of the resistive tracks, which provokes contact bounce. The ECU will constantly try to equalize the voltage, as a result of which the elements of the microcircuits fail due to overheating.

We will consider the process of diagnosing an electromechanical forced-action headlight range control. Diagnosis of complex malfunctions in automated systems that use ride height sensors requires much more specialized technical training.

PRINCIPAL DIAGRAM

Before starting diagnostics, you should study the wiring diagram for connecting geared motors on your car.

Most often, 2 typical switching schemes are used:

Despite the different pinout, the headlight corrector works on most cars according to a similar principle. The principle of operation is based on a constant comparison of the voltage across two variable resistors. One of the resistors is connected to the headlight range control switch on the dashboard, and the other to the sensor for the actual position of the electrocorrector rod. Comparison of voltages with a differential amplifier allows for voltage equalization in the event of a mismatch error. Thus, turning the switch on the dashboard leads to the extension of the electric drive of the headlight range control by a fixed distance.

DIAGNOSTIC METHODS

  1. Checking the fuse (we recommend that you read how to replace the fuse correctly). If the fuse often blows, there is a bare contact in the circuit, provoking a short circuit.
  2. Visual inspection of the connectors for the presence of contact oxides, you should also inspect the visible circuit of the wiring for chafing, breaks. Oxides can be removed from contacts with a file.
  3. Checking the power supply with a multimeter. If a check with a multimeter showed that the cause of the malfunction is not in the connectors or wiring, to search for a breakdown, disassemble the gearmotor or headlight range control unit. Examine the circuits for burnt, swollen radio components, poorly soldered contacts. If necessary, most of the elements can be easily purchased at a radio parts store.

CHECKING THE POWER SUPPLY WITH A MULTIMETER

If you have not previously encountered the diagnosis of electrical appliances, we recommend that you read the instructions for using the multimeter. The first step is to check whether a constant "+" comes to the connector of the geared motor and whether there is a "mass" on it. Also, in the DCV measurement mode, connect the positive probe to the signal wire, and the negative probe to the ground pin.

In the off state, the voltage is minimal, while when the switch is turned, it should be from 3 to 10 V. Before checking, the dipped headlights must be turned on.

If "-" or "+" does not come to the chip, the same operation should be carried out with the connector that connects to the control unit in the passenger compartment. If power leaves the ECU chip, but does not come to the connector, then the matter is in a broken wiring. If there is no power supply to the geared motor at the connector, check the "ground" and "+" of the control unit itself. The situation when power comes to the unit, but the ECU does not react in any way to the change in the switch position, indicates a malfunction inside the headlight range control unit.

It is not recommended to apply battery voltage directly to the terminals of the gear motor for a long time in order to check its operability. For correct diagnostics of the drive, a 10 kOhm trimming resistor should be included in the circuit.

Headlights corrector- a device for maintaining a given position of the optical axis of the headlights in the vertical plane relative to the road surface, regardless of the vehicle load and driving conditions (modes, speed). Owners of old cars, probably, had to face a problem when, having loaded the trunk to the eyeballs in the dark, an unpleasant situation arose - the headlights "shone in the sky." The task of the headlight range control is precisely to align the beam of light in such situations.

Modern models are dominated by two types of automatic headlight correctors- quasi-static and dynamic. In quasi-static systems, the automation reacts only to the tilt of the body, which can change under the influence of various loads or at high speeds under the influence of air resistance forces. Such changes do not occur very often, so a high speed of response from this system is not required. Quasi-static systems consist of: two body position sensors connected to the vehicle axles through special levers; electronic control unit; executive mechanisms; a duplicate manual dimmer on the instrument panel (as in static dimmers). The setting of the required inclination of the headlight reflector is carried out by the actuator according to the commands of the electronic control unit. For this, the latter uses data on the position of the body from floor level sensors and on the speed of movement from ABS sensors (anti-lock braking system).

The next step in history headlight correctors have become expensive dynamic systems. The real need for their introduction into the car arose after the appearance of xenon headlights, which emit a high energy of the luminous flux, and therefore more dangerous in case of incorrect adjustment. Even a short-term "exposure" to them is fraught with prolonged blinding of the driver of an oncoming vehicle. The main difference between the dynamic system is the speed of response to changes in body position. Here it is a fraction of a second, which allows the electronics to firmly "hold" the headlight beam at the same level when accelerating, braking, cornering, driving on uneven roads, etc.

Oh, how flawlessly the skin of the models, flaunting on the pages of glossy magazines, looks! Not a single flaw! But all these beauties are simple girls and women who are not alien to pimples, inflammation and lack of sleep. Yes, a professional make-up artist works with them before shooting, but in his hands is not a magic wand at all. The arsenal that can be seen on the master's table is quite diverse. But one of his main tools is a palette of correctors, which help to rid the face of visual imperfections. It is important to know how to use and how to choose a decorative product.

Shades

The main purpose of this tool is to even out the complexion and eliminate the visual problem, and therefore the range of correctors is not limited only to natural shades. Color swatches work on the principle of contrast, where opposite colors neutralize each other.

A professional master can use a palette with a wide range of shades in his work, since his makeup is designed for camera flashes and a long stay of the model on the set. But for home use, it is enough to limit yourself to a small palette with shades that are needed for a particular type of facial skin.

Skin tone. Concealers come in a variety of skin tones. As the main one, they choose the one that ideally matches the natural tone, and the lighter or darker products are successfully suitable for contouring. A competent combination of them in makeup will help get rid of the "flat face" effect.

Green. One of the most popular shades, as it easily removes any redness: rosacea, rosacea, acne, insect bites or just an unwanted "rustic" blush. But you need to use the green face corrector correctly. When buying, choose a texture that matches the intensity of redness. If these are serious areas affected by rosacea, then a dense corrector in a convenient package will do. If we are talking about small "gifts" in the form of pimples, bites and the like, it is better to buy a convenient corrector in the form of a pencil. It can be carried with you and used as an "ambulance" in case of such troubles.

Interesting! The green concealer not only has excellent masking properties for redness on the face, but also aims to help medicinally. The fact is that the composition of these funds always includes medicinal products (for example, tea tree oil, known as one of the best antiseptics).

Yellow. A real fighter against "blue"! Copes well with dark circles under the eyes, unsympathetic veins, which are often visible on the temples or the bridge of the nose. The yellow concealer must be powdered when it comes to the places under the eyes. If this is not done, then the product can clog into the folds of the eyelid. From this, the correction will become noticeable, the makeup will be untidy, and the face will be several years older.

Purple. This tone neutralizes yellowness and adds a pleasant shade to dull skin. It is successfully used to mask age spots and very dark brownish circles under the eyes. The corrector from the lilac range will suit women with an "earthy" complexion to match the main tone.

Pink. This color should be used with great care! The fact is that the pink tint "hides" the green color well (greenish veins or bruises), but if it hits the blue, the effect will be undesirable (blue + pink = purple).

White. Used as a clarifier. You need to work with the white corrector carefully, dispensing it only to the right places. An overabundance of white corrector looks unnatural on the face, turning it into a mask.

Silver. A rare tone to use. But with its help you can achieve amazing effects! The silver concealer looks great in the light of night lights, which makes it especially popular in evening make-up. The skin takes on a beautiful cool tint. But for daytime make-up is contraindicated, as it looks unnatural on the face.

Textures

Correctors can be of different consistencies, therefore, they are offered by manufacturers in a variety of packages.

Creamy. From the name it is clear that this type of concealer has the texture of a thick cream. It resembles theatrical makeup and copes very well with any flaws. It is applied to different areas, but with the condition that the skin in these areas does not contain peeling. Available in jars and pallets.

Liquid. Has a water base and a pleasant consistency, reminiscent of a foundation with fluids. The liquid concealer is applied with a brush, they need to work very quickly, as it instantly "grasps" on the skin. Manufacturers offer it in dispenser bottles, glass jars and pencils with a brush equipped with an automatic product feed.

Solid. As a rule, these are pencils and sticks. They are very convenient for topical application and can be used to quickly eliminate imperfections at any time of the day.

Dry. It resembles powder and is indispensable for oily skin. It is better to apply such a corrector with a large brush or a puff. The result must be fixed with a flesh-colored finishing powder.

Facial makeup rules: how to use the corrector

The skin must be prepared by applying a makeup cream (this can be a regular moisturizer). If the cream is not absorbed, then the excess is blotted, since the skin should be matte. The next step is to apply correctors of the desired texture and color:

  1. Concealers in solid form are applied over the main tone, and liquid and creamy - only under the foundation.
  2. For light concealment, makeup artists recommend mixing a dense color concealer with your foundation.
  3. Such a nuisance as circles under the eyes can be easily masked with a corrector. But for perfect makeup, you should use a liquid product.
  4. The foundation is applied very gently: patting movements are made with the fingertips (smearing movements can "cross out" the results of the work with the help of the corrector).

Typical mistakes when using the corrector

Very often, girls make mistakes, making the work of a corrector on the face useless. The most common:

  1. Painting over dark circles or bruises under the eyes, many apply the product only to the lower eyelid, and it is correct to start from the bridge of the nose, bordering the inner corner of the eye.
  2. Covering up a pimple or other "surprise" is not overlaying a corrector on top with further shading. Correctly shade only the area around, without affecting the product on the surface of the rash.
  3. Blending with cold hands. The quality of the make-up will improve if the hands are warmed up beforehand. Better yet, use special brushes for this purpose.

Face contouring with correctors

If once contouring (contouring, sculpting) was available only to professional makeup artists, now these secrets are open to everyone: store shelves offer a rich assortment of cosmetic products for this purpose, a large amount of educational information. As they say, only a lazy person cannot learn this science.

Good contouring is equated with visual plastic, because with it you can hide not only minor flaws, but also correct obvious defects in appearance: a wide or long nose, a low forehead, a flat face, and others. Having emphasized the dignity, they achieve a perfect oval.

For contouring, creamy and dry correctors are suitable. The latter are more convenient for quick make-up, as they are easily shaded and not so expressive on the skin. Not a bad option for daytime make-up.

Important! For sculpting the face, only products with a matte texture are used. The only exceptions are highlighters and shimmers that complete the makeup.

Contouring step by step:

  1. The make-up base is an important point in the work. You can use your favorite light texture cream or BB cream.
  2. Correction of the nose: the dark corrector draws two neat lines along the lateral parts of the back, right down to the very tip. If you want to lengthen the nose, then the lines should start from the eyebrows. This technique will help align the bridge of the nose if the girl has a slight curvature in this part.
  3. Highlighting the cheekbones will help make the face more prominent. To do this, you need to find the "correct" line: the pencil is applied to the face from the corner of the mouth to the ear. The resulting depression under the pencil must be darkened, but no longer bring the cheekbone line to the corners of the lips.
  4. The next stage is work with a light proofreader. The stripe in the center of the nose is highlighted (it will be located between the dark lines). A light highlight is placed on the central part of the forehead, under the inner corners of the eyes, quite a bit in the depression above the upper lip and above the dark line on the cheekbones.
  5. A very important point is shading. If the contouring was carried out with creamy means, then this stage falls on the final (you should start with the light areas). If dry correctors were used, then shading took place during the application process.

What to look for when buying

Even if your eyes "run up" after seeing the variety of shades, there is no point in buying a palette for 40 colors. It is enough to remember that it is better for fair-skinned girls to opt for delicate light pink shades, and for dark-skinned ones - on a set in a peach range.

However, the choice of the color palette completely depends on the problems facing the woman. There may be more than one set in her cosmetic bag. For the main tone, the same methods are suitable that girls are used to using: a little product is applied to the hand and rubbed. If the tone matches the skin tone, then there is no doubt that this product is suitable for makeup.

And more practice! In skilled hands, even simple things look like magic.
